I've been watching too many of these videos lately. I couldn't believe how much I tipped someone yesterday to bring me soup. lol I needed it bad though. I've been in bed almost a week and it's pretty much the first kind of solid food I've had in quite a while. I appreciated them bringing it too me SO MUCH.

customers are getting smarter and smarter and smarter and tipping less and less and less, soon no americans will be doing food delivery only immigrants and illegals of all sorts. We are having a flood of illegals into the usa... I am working on an exit stratagie out of the gig economy that I once thought was awesome!!! becareful of tipping lower and lower as illegals can only think of robbing your home. Just watch the news and media platforms. I wont order things to my home anymore because the drivers dont speak english!! I talk to locals that wont use DD anymore due to that.
Absolutely you should not take orders that don't benefit YOU. You're driving YOUR car, using YOUR time and energy. If door dash or uber eats wants you to accept more orders, then they need to start paying what you're worth.
Or provide us a Uber or DoorDash company car lol 😂

I've never done door dash or anything like that, but over the last 20 years, I've had ALOT of serving jobs, and I have to say, when you get a crappy tip, it's infuriating- especially when you know you've done a good job. I think if I was driving my own car to basically be a mobil server for people, and they gave me anything less than $2 or $3 a mile, I'd have to quit.

I cannot say it enough, I am customer and I wish you could be my dasher. Never not once have I seen them use a bag for my food. Cold or Hot!
Actually the 14% acceptance rate means only 14% of the orders are fair

You just proved that acceptance rate is a bunch of BS. You waited to received acceptable offers. that’s exactly what I do as well. I don’t feel any pressure when it comes to AR.
@@lisafreda2873 Same here, I am a contractor and i see it as hey, do you need my services or not, if not Ill just open more and more and more apps, some one will!!! Been making 1200 a week, dont get me wrong Im working on a exit stragegy from these apps. The investors want everyone capped a 20 an hr or less overtime!!! We are no dummys!!! If you can hold 25 an hr then you are in a area where drivers are needed!
@@lisafreda2873 Meaty Mama encouraged me to give it a go. I live in a building surrounded by restaurants and i turn on my app while on my sofa and wait until i get a decent paying order. The first few seem like thise others turned down!

Me too!!! Tonight the doordash app wouldn't cooperate. I ended up having to call support. They need to get it together makes us look bad in front of customers.
You might think it's obvious to grab both straps, but just the other day I had a pizza made and it was put in a regular grocery type bag and then was grabbed by the handles before they brought it out to me! What in the world were they thinking?!

I was thinking the same thing about the pizza bag, but apparently there are a few unintelligent people out there that used one strap and ruined the pizza. Maybe he's tired of remaking pizza for stupid delivery people. He was trying to be helpful.
Agreed. Also with the reminder that she didn’t grab the receipt. He didn’t know the gate code was in the app…he cared and was doing a great job.
Every day before I start dashing, I restart my phone, or I get the buffering crap too. That seems to help

Mama I wouldn't care about the acceptance number because they could work on the app so you can filter your orders closer to what you want & they won't or don't care to improve the app so good job on making your goal today! That is all I would care about lol

For the Dasher app problem, have you checked to see if the battery optimization is turned off in the Dasher app settings? It should be set to "Unresticted".

I work as a pizza delivery driver for pizza hut and they pay 45 cents a mile and the delivery route is not very big. The most I can make on a delivery from pizza hut is about 3 dollars, but if it is near to the restaurant I don't even make a dollar. The tips are usually ok but some people don't tip. I make 8 dollars an hour, which turns into anywhere between 10 to even 18 dollars an hour with tips. I pay for my gas, insurance, and car maintenance, and pizza hut pays basically nothing for me to be a delivery driver. This is the nature of the restaurant business and delivery business as well. They underpay people, and people don't tip sometimes for the service. It's not right. But, I keep doing it because I can make a living, sometimes just barely.
This is soo terrible I had no idea this is how it works for delivery drivers working for the companies like Pizza Hut wow👀👀 you might as well sign up for Uber and doordash and you can make way more money.
@@ig4091 yes, I probably should do something else. I'm also a dishwasher along with the other drivers plus we have a dishwasher who comes at night 5 days a week who isn't a delivery driver. I like the people I work with, have been there 3 years, and some people tip very generously. I know some regular customers who tip well so it's okay for now. I live alone and don't have much of a social life due to chronic illness so working around people is important to me. Thank you for the suggestion.
If someone is ordering Pizza Hut, then why don't they just pay the delivery fee? Is DoorDash a more cost-effective delivery service?
I have problems with Uber app too. Pausing rides, move to a different area etc. These are tech apps! Ridiculous!!!

I always force stop and re open when it is not working properly. Usually every 10 min damn near.
I was told other terrible people are using interrupting devices called jammers to throw your system off so they can take the orders and your stuck until you reboot the system I Know it’s soooo terrible what they are doing now a days.
That or the 5G towers are throwing our signals off it’s so terrible. I would advise to not let others drivers park next to you. I always have annoying people trying to park next to me and I move right away!!
I hate when I smell like sausage or bacon or when I fry taco shells in oil that’s the most smell!!

It's probably an interface issue with DD and whatever mobile carrier you're using since you aren't on a plan from Verizon, Tmobile etc.
There's worse things to smell like than bacon
