    Stick a piece of Velcro on back on lighted mirror so it doesn't move around when traveling and keep it safe!

    I absolutely adore your builds, i’ve been watching you for eons. But i gotta say, putting that second sink into that pleasureway left me scratching my head back then. I’m a firm believer in ‘to each their own’ but i would never give up a millimeter of bench space for a superfluous sink. 🤷🏼‍♀️
    Small touches make huge differences. Putting that mirror upside down made the whole area so much more usable 👍🏼

    Good morning, George! And a Happy Sunday to you! Thanks for brightening my day. I took notes on the Pex plumbing stuff. Really good info. Its those details you trip over when remodeling, that you so elegantly solved. These are great improvements you made to the trailer, bravo! The industry can learn a lot from you. Yes, you should absolutely change out that plastic sink in the bathroom, so blah and ugly. Put a stainless bar sink in there, clean lines and functional. This will match with shower rod.
    I found a great Euro style shower at IKEA for $25. It has that sliding rod so you can reposition the shower head for anyone's height. It looks elegant and beats the ugly showers they put into vans in the US. Every European RV has this type of shower. These small touches will make people drool over your trailer. We are hungry for good design, and not the mediocre 50's recycled fixtures and layouts they still make in the US. Very little design innovation in the US RV industry. You are leading the charge. Love it!!

    When i had my Sprinter built out i told them i wanted the biggest sink they could put in my 22 and a half inch deep counter top. They squoze, squeezed (?) managed to fit in a 15-15/16 in. x 20-7/8 in x 9-3/16 deep single bowl under-mount sink (interior dimensions). They connected the chassis's 12v sysyem with the cabin's 24v system by using a non-isolated DC-DC charger but, they got the sink right.

    Hi George.
    Retired 40 year plumber here.
    I know push fitting Shark Bites have been around awhile. I am not convinced of their longevity. I've seen some of these leaking over the years, especially if they are stressed at the fitting. Anything that has an o-ring seal will eventually leak.
    My big concern on a camper is that the tubing and joints are frequently moving, which may impact the seals. Even a tiny leak in a camper can turn into a huge problem.
    I would suggest making a transition fitting of type A to copper, and copper to type B.
    Maybe there is a pre-made fitting to do this. I never worked much with pex.
    I love your videos!
    Keep on rolling.

    • @HumbleRoad
      @HumbleRoad  4 місяці тому +3

      For the "Me" series, we developed a strong CNC printed cabinet using 3/4" plywood with dados, glue and screws. We were putting in custom efforts on the "Me" series. This allows a shorter build time, keeps the price down without sacrificing quality.

    • @TerryManitoba

      @@HumbleRoad 👍Got it. As much as I wanted to use this new fangled (to me) 80/20 in my build - I ended up not using a single foot of the stuff to construct my interior. It wasn't because of cost it was simply using materials (pocket screw a/w plywood) I was more familiar with to build something that I was completely unfamiliar with...

      Use proper English, don't write like a semi-literate teenager with shortcuts. Its disrespectful and childish.

      Are, not R.

      @@TerryManitoba In other words, you were afraid to use something new and stuck to the same old materials. Aluminum struts are not 'new fangled'. They have been around longer than you have. Don't justify your inability to experiment and try new things. This is mental rigidity and fear.

    • @TerryManitoba
      @TerryManitoba 4 місяці тому

      @@mjremy2605 That's why I qualified it my saying new (to me) in the text. (look 👆)
      I learned how to design and construct my self built van without having done it before - EVER. So NO not mentally rigid. After 7 years I am glad I when with Plywood et al - because each time I want to tweak the rig (which is almost after EVERY trip I am more easily able to change the layout.(25 month that I slept in it - because I admit I did not get it right the first time))
