- Hey family! In today's video we are STRETCHING these twists for MORE LENGTH!! We all love a little extra length here and there especially when we are protective styling!! I find this technique to be much easier for mini twists than my typical stretching technique.
Note: To achieve more length, stretch your hair while it's about 60% dry.

Yaasssssss!! I did my mini twists 2 days ago & they’re already shrinking 😫😂 When it’s time to refresh my twist with water & oil (maybe a lil cream) I’ll use this stretching method! Thanks girly! Love the music 🎶 ❤️
I'm so glad glad I found this. Remember when I told you that I did your technique of putting leave-in, while in the shower. Well, before I even hopped in my hair was already stretching from my trim that I did 3 days prior and sectioning was easier and detangling felt easier. There were so many differences that I did for this wash day like: my hair being stretched from the beginning, my hair was already detangled, and I did your technique, oh also my ends were clipped. So, now I just have to do everything again or trial and error of what made my wash day awesome. 😂I just hope it wasn't detangling beforehand because that's why i didn't wash straight after I trimmed, it took as much time to trim as it did to wash on a normal wash day.😫 4-5 hours

I'm certainly going to try this tomorrow and make sure that my hair is about 80% dry before trying the "band" method. I'm gonna have to find some of the larger bands too. Thanks again and I'll always be tuning in when I'm off work? Have a good night's sleep! 😴😉😘

I have not tried this technique with mini twists but I did it with my twist out style. I was able to wear my style an additional two days.

@@Watchangiewrk it still come out curly. the only time it came out wavy curly was when I left them in for a few days but it was still cute. I try to do it when my hair is damp

With mini twists what do you put over it at night? e.g headscarf, bonnet etc.
Can you maybe spritz your twists before banding them to get a longer stretch?!? Or would that tangle the hair when it’s time to unravel?

I love mini twists but hate taking them dwn and the single strand knots I tend to get. Your hair looks so juicy. I wish mine would come out like that. I have insane shrinkage and my hair does better in braids.
