You actually can just take chunks of your twists and plait them in 10 sections overnight. This will give you the best stretch that will last throughout the day. I do this every night and my twists hang and shake profusely throughout the day. I have 4c hair and I oil my scalp daily to get the best hang time. No bobby pins or scrunchies needed. This method is most effective with smaller twists. I am able to showcase my true hair length by this method. If I don't plait my twists at night, I will be sporting shrinkage.
Omg you’re doing the banding method!! Why have I never thought about that ?! Lol..because my hair is bra strap length and I always wanted my twists as long as my hair is..girl this is genius. Thank-you ❤️
Thank you for this! I just did twists on my hair for the first time and go to the gym Monday through Friday. I was trying to figure out how I would style it for working out! You just showed me how to wear it to bed and in the gym! 💃🏾
I like the video and yes I do the same stretching method on my hair too. Note: I started my natural hair journey 4 years ago. Keep making those videos.😃
Hi I tried ur stretching method n night time routine n I really like it cuz my hair also has a way of strinking when it’s in twist but since I started the stretching method it have my hair feeling all nice n stretched in the morning so thanks for sharing your method n keep up the good work
Good job... I know this is a little bit of an old video, but I like it. I just twisted my hair early this afternoon and I will try that tomorrow night.
I have fine hair too, always loved the look of twists on others but knew my hair wouldn’t look the same. I was afraid it would look too “scalpy” lol. After a few tries I realized that parting is key. For me making square parts (like you would for box braids) works best and looks the least scalpy. I also do them on dry hair, haven’t tried it on damp/wet hair yet.
Hi I love your twist. I keep my hair in twist 97% of the time and I was wondering if you have a video turtorial for these twist. If not that's ok just wondering. Have a nice day. Oh and what is your hair type please and thank you
I'm a lazy super size bun life natural but I'm thinking about doing Twist on wash day once a month as a retention method. Protective styling for the rest of the year.
Girl, THANK YOU for this video. I got passion twists for the first time and thought I was crazy about the shrinkage, I felt like a poodle. I’m about to stretch then tonight
Thank you….I use Shea Moisture Curling Gel Souffle when twisting my hair. I believe this is what causes my shrinkage I’m okay with it but I’ve never used the ponytail holders before will give a try. Thanks again
I just made a video like this and I added beads! Your video just popped up on my feed! I wish that I would have watched your video before hand!! You look beautiful!!!! 🤗
I tried this and my twists stretched out but they also got bent and misshapen where the rubber band sat on my twists 😔😥😭 guess I'll have to try something else...
Only issue I would see for myself with this is, in the morning my hair would be separated in the back, from having my hair apart like that. Id have to wet it to get it to come back together. Do you have this issue as well? If so, what do you do in the morning to get rid of the separation in the back?
@@loveourworldproductions6640 Thank you, thats what I been doing. Or I just put them in one ponytail and do your method. Thanks again for the info and for responding. I know you got some time now cause of Quarantine lol. Peace.
I usually do a twist out and then after the day is over, I twist my hair up at night but I don’t drench it in water which helps the keep the length. I do spray water on my hair just not a lot to prevent shrinkage. And even with not putting too much water the twists will helps lock moisture in. I also take my bonnet off when I shower so I can get moisture from the steam.
Scarf helps keep the twist laid down and the bonnet helps protect the hair from drying out. It prevent your hair from rubbing against cotton or other drying fabrics we typically use on our beds.

These look GORGEOUS on you. That beautiful heart shaped face. Perfect summer style!
Thank you. I've banded them before but never thought to pin them down. That helps keep them stretched out.

Just finish twisting my hair , this was So helpful 😊 thank you for sharing
I love this style but my hair is more on the finer side so I feel a little self conscious about it not looking as full idk
Same 😄Also afraid to look weird with them. But if we don't try we will never know

My hair is also fine but it actually looks fuller once I found out a pattern to make them look fuller
Love your twist first of all😍😍😍 and your nightly routine simple to the point and especially not over whelming...thank you!!!
Thank you! This is a simple yet effective method to implement as a night routine that works!
This video just came up as I was searching for ways to maintain my toddlers twist! Going to definitely do this! Thank you!

How did your hair come out??
can you do a video on different hairstyles for your twists?
+Jordyn Edwards Yes! I will make one.
I'm a lazy super size bun life natural but I'm thinking about doing Twist on wash day once a month as a retention method. Protective styling for the rest of the year.
This was EXACTLY what I needed! Thank you!

Sarai2Sarah ugh me neither ! It is a process we will get there though 🙂✌🏽
Your hair is beautiful!
Edit: you're beautiful lol!
Your hair doesn’t have dents in them in the morning with using the hair ties?
Thats what I wondered too
@JaNae Gibbs I tried it and it didn’t dent up my hair. So this technique does work 😊
@@darianh6236 my hair is short it made my hair sort of wavy

Nice video! I’ll be sure to do this tonight to stretch them, also you’re just gorgeous love the blue eye shadow!

I have the same issue! I’m trying to figure out what to do lol
Will your hair be too stretched with stretching on wet hair? I know you said that it was damp
Is this done on wet hair?
Thanks for sharing, this was really informative. Love your Big pretty 👀
Why didn’t I think of that (rubber band stretch method). All the times I walked around with crinkled twists 🥲
Why you didn't show the end result?
Your hair is so beautiful!! How long have you been growing your hair ? I can’t wait to reach that length mine stop at my ear 😫 😍😍
i have curly hair (3c) but im not black is it okay for me to do twists? (for protection not for style)
Lawd 🙌🏾 This Yoruban Queen. 😍😍😍

You could part it in three sections two halves and then a section at the top but going back so when you take it out it should more easily cover

I find this really helpful, thank you.
Please is there any alternative to castor oil?
Vitamin E oil is great it does the same thing castor oil does and you could pick it up at the dollar store or hair beauty store
Great...will try it
Do you have tutorial on you twisting your hair
Thank you so much for sharing!
Your hair is very pretty and healthy.
Awesome video! Your hair grew so much and its beautiful as always.
+Anika Wilson Thank You !
How long your hair been stretch out with your mini twist?
Will stretching the hair his way affect how the twists dry?
My hair isn't as long as yours when it's twisted. What do you suggest I do for me to stretch it?
Chinomnso Emeribenini Braid them. ☺ Unravel with light oil in the mornings.
Brownie8986 thanks boo!

Makayla Woods The idea of taking off the bonnet during hot showers works well for me thanks
Thank you 💗🥺 your so beautiful.

What is the benefit of a scarf AND a bonnet?
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
