I see what you mean but i don't think it looks like a wig because of not being able to see the scalp i think it's just a matter of sizing. Basically if i did them much larger it'd be visible. Do that's the same rule i apply to other clients when doing their twists. I want it to be as full(no scalp showing) as possible❣️

Perhaps adjust the size. Most people who do their own twists do them too large to consider it useable for a style and that's why they always do a twist out or just take it out early. I do twists on clients with all textures and densities and they come out looking good. It'll work out 🌹

@@kelliew.4285 You can apply a little acv water to a face towel or cotton pad to dry wash/serve as an astringent. However since you're not putting a bunch of creams and gels the hair isn't really dirty but approach that avenue with what you think is best for you 🌹

Ha! It looks good. Just think about box braids. They don't look the same as day one a month later but they look good. It's really personality based. A lot of people like hairstyles as they get older. On average i see my clients that wear two strand twists every month. It's a 2 for 1. Wear it for 3 weeks take it down you have a twist out for about a week🌹

I began doing this style over twenty years ago. So glad to see others doing it, as it is such a lovely and comforting style. I rarely comb my hair, I mainly use my fingers to part for styling and to massage out hairs that have released. I use a chebe oil, avocado and caster oil mix.

Lco-liquid (water), cream (leave in), and oil. Loc- liquid, oil, cream. Every 2-3 days. Leave ins I like are qhemet biologics moringa or coco tree ghee, tgin green tea leave in, mielle avocado hair milk.

I learned so much! I feel like I just watched a movie on how to do a good twist out! Especially with what you said about trying to part the hair with a comb; I’ve always been so obsessed with having straight neat parts, but seeing how it adds to the fullness to just trust your fingers to do the parting is amazing!

Well thanks a lot for the feedback ☺️ look forward to hearing how the wash went! As for the dryness though try being more consistent. Like doing either lco or loc method. Lco-liquid (water), cream (leave in), and oil. Loc- liquid, oil, cream. Every 2-3 days.
Leave ins I like are qhemet biologics moringa or coco tree ghee, tgin green tea leave in, mielle avocado hair milk.

Do you normally put beads at the end. Ive been trying to do my daughters natural hair. Its been some work. Only thing I know how to do is plat. Lol.
@@DrHen-xd3rv well perhaps once you get this technique down you can do this style as well. It's essentially a plait but with 2 sections instead of 3. The beads are cool but it's cute without it 🌹

I learned so much! I feel like I just watched a movie on how to do a good twist out! Especially with what you said about trying to part the hair with a comb; I’ve always been so obsessed with having straight neat parts, but seeing how it adds to the fullness to just trust your fingers to do the parting is amazing!
Thanks for tuning in and glad you learned something but These are two strand twists. Two strand twists is a style in itself. I know so many people are strung out on twist outs but as you can see this was installed in a way that makes it wearable 😊
Then of course once you take it down after a few weeks you've got a twist out but that's an afterthought 🌹
