I have started wearing mini twists about three months and i love it so much. It is easy to moisturize in that style. I think I will just leave my hair this way.
Good for you! I’ll be watching your journey. Coily Diaries is wonderful! I totally understand the issue with taking down mini braids, that’s why I do medium to small braids and keep my hair in scarfs when I go out. Although I would love to do twists, for my strands, they require too much retwisting to make sure they don’t tangle too much and lock up. That defeats the purpose of keeping my hands out of my hair, and with two small children, I don’t have that kind of time. I hope you find them doable for your hair! 😊🌺
Mini twists are not vfor everyone- it depends on the type of 4. I find that I don't have the issues that are more coilier hair type- I can wear my twists for 2 months or longer. I frequently moisturise, it depends the tightness of the coil- its about trial and error
True this 👍Sometimes it's trial and error, but the error can be lessened if you notice the patterns. Wearing twists for over 2 weeks has just never worked for me. My type 4 is on the more coily side.
They aren’t putting their hair in mini twist, just twist … I have twist and I learned u have to make them a bit bigger so u can take them down to moisturize every 3-4 weeks…

Also love Coily Diaries!
Awesome that you've started. Keep going ❤️ Thank you for the support ✊
When doing mini twists- the key is moisturising is the method. I oil and seal my ends every 1-2 days and also protein treatments every 1-2 months.
Yesss! Moisture means more length retention. The plan is to get ahead of dryness. Well done ❤️

That's beautiful ❤️ I agree! Mini twists are easy to moisturize in. Plus install and takedown is usually a breeze for me.
Im late, but Im going back to mini twists, too. In the past, it helped me get past my baseline length
This is great. Mini twists are the truth. I'm rooting for you ❤️
Am gonna join you in this journey 😊

I can relate to the locking up part 😂 Yes, making medium to large-sized braids could really help with takedown.
Thank you ❤️
Yes exactly I do a blend of cornrows with single braid. There is no time to sit for tiny braids 😂

I wrap my ends around the hair shaft to keep them protected and
LOG with Blue Magic Bergamot mixed with natural oils.
This is great ❤️ Could that be the 'vine wrapping method? It helps to keep the ends moisturised longer than usual while in twists. Very effective
@@Ifeoma_Gift Yes it is except I don’t use a barrette.
saw blue magic and instantly knew this video wasnt for me

I thought they take the same amount of time to take down? 😭😓
@@Red-gy9gx Do you mean braids & twists? If yes, braids take much longer than twists.
