I'm I the only guy that loves the library tower? Collecting books is my thing. That's what makes this game so timeless. So many ways to play. Great vid bro.
I purchased this property and shortly after it was finnished I came home to find a giant standing in the front doorway scratching his ass and looking lost.. decided to ignore him hoping he would wander off... but he soon began taking swipes at me with his club..damn near killed me !! so I led him into the woods and killed him there caus I didn't want his cropse in my front yard....and if thats not enough there is a nutjob down on the lakeshore...thats MY lakeshore....doing human sacrifice and littering the place with bloody bones and such...not only that but my front yard is looking like a warzone due to thieves ,assasins and assorted assholes who keep showing up to kill me.....hell of a nice neighborhood I moved into....I don't remember any of this in the realtor's pitch....who do I complain to and where do i get a refund?
What I do when I get annoying people or zombies in my front yard is, after I kill them I use the reanimate corpse or the revenant spell and then you can either kill them again or wait for them to turn into ashes.
I'm so pissed dude. I wasn't paying attention. I thought I could add every wing and I didn't get to make an arcane spot and kitchen man ;-; what's a house without a kitchen
It's probably too late but you can put an alchemy lab and enchanting table in the house without building the specific wings, it's best to put the trophy room in the back IMO
i was gonna get this house but i thought it was a bit excessive for my style of playing. instead i bought the house in riften, all i really wanted was an alchemy lab and a place for my kids. its got a nice garden too and i visit riften often so it is great. great vid man
Hello, there is a limit to how many rooms you can add on, depending on which wing of the home that room is located. The wings and the options for those wings are decided by the game, but you can choose whichever options you want that go with the wing of the home. There is a West Wing (the options for this wing are Enchanter's Tower, Bedrooms or Greenhouse). Then there is the North Wing (options are Alchemy lab, Storage Room and Trophy room). Last is East Wing (library, trophy room or kitchen)
If you are impatient, do not pay your steward of your house to furnish your rooms it will take many, many days of in game play to get. You can’t just get it from waiting, you have to do about 5 quests
I've been messing around with Hearthfire again and I was able to convert any follower I had into a steward. Most of them offered the first time I brought them to the property. So maybe you can go that route if you are still having problems.
Barb Redgreen Im gonna make a new account in the xbox to start over and put a armory, I have the library tower now, it looks cool, but the armory is cooler
Makes sense this homestead be the most attacked by bandits, it's very near to 2 roads (ultra visible to every greedy eye), a den of necromancers, a huge bandit hideout and bandit swarmed Helgen ruins.
I just bought hearthfire today for the first time. I just started skyrim last month. I can't believe how cheap and worth it this DLC is. General Sam 123 made me want it by watching him enjoy the spoils of being a landlord.
I ended up getting this because 1. The jarl invited me to move there from the start of the game so why the hell not, and 2. Because I needed a place in private with all the necessary equipment to level up my smithing, alchemy and enchanting skills without running the risk of having to fight off a random vampire attack (which always kills a crucial vendor). Bethesda, you suck for adding those.
Glad I could help. Ya I actually did it all on my own with the workbenches inside. Then if you are done building and you want to get rid of the work benches, just go back to the drafting table outside and unselect or remove the work benches. Then your house has everything and looks amazing. If you have any other questions let me know. I am done with all my Hearthfire videos but I am starting a Dawnguard series and a PC Skyrim mod series too. Thanks for checking out my videos!
Wow, that worked thank you so much - I didn't even realise you could build from inside the house I kept trying to do stuff on the board outside. Thank you for taking the time to get back to me, much appreciated! :)
I did the kitchen, bedrooms, and trophy hall. The thing is, the enchanter and potion brewery rooms are useless, since you can just build a potion brewery and arcane enchanter in the main hall.
No problem. I would say this is the best location, but you can build the home however you want to at the 3 locations. I have been messing around with mods on PC lately, there are some really cool player homes you can get. I plan to start a series of showing off the player home mods, some are amazing. The things that can be done on PC are ridiculous, makes it feel like DLC every time you install a new mod! Glad I could help man.
Yup it is the Hearthfire DLC, it was only $5 when I got it. Now I think it is included in the Legendary Edition, all the DLC is included in that version: Dawnguard, Dragonborn and Hearthfire.
Just put some torches in strategycs places in the house, leave the house and when you comeback the house will be full of a warmrful and beautiful light.
Oh ya that's good! You will need lots of lumber too. So if you have extra gold just go buy as many logs as you can. It takes a lot of lumber for all construction and interior items!
The trophy room is very cool. I built all three properties, so I have each room built at least in one house. To get a steward simply bring any follower to your house and they should offer to become a steward for your home. I am not sure if the dialogue repeats, but I know for sure mine offered. Or maybe if you are at the house with them it will be an option in the follower options. Hope that helps
I actually built everything myself. You can leave the workbenches in each room and build the items you want to build. Then after you have made it the way you want just remove the workbench. I can't really help you with a steward since I did it all on my own, but I know that works too. Hope that helps
Awesome, thanks for checking out the channel! I have been doing a lot of Call of Duty videos lately, but I have a really cool Skyrim video coming tomorrow.
Thanks! No this property is closest to Falkreath, kind of near Riverwood. In the Hearthfire DLC they give you 3 plots, and there is a Morthal plot. That property is called Windstad Manor, there is a link in the description showing that house. You can build the house however you want on each plot, so what I show is not what you have to choose. But you are fixed to the plots they sell, and you can only choose certain things for each wing. It is really good though. Are you XBOX, PS3 or PC?
So basically you can have any of the rooms in each wing, but only 1 for each. You kind of just have to pick and choose which options are best for you at the time. I built all 3 homes so I made each one a little different. For example one home had Bedrooms for my family, a kitchen and a storage room. This made it seem like a real family home. Then on the next home I built an Enchanter's Tower, Alchemy Lab and library. Hope all of that helps.
I've played oblivion and elderscrolls for years now and I just figured out that I could build a house and in the basement you can build an aquarium too
Thanks for the comments. I am on console and my understanding of it was that you could go back to the drafting table and redo a wing by removing the old wing. I'm not sure if PC is different or if I was just wrong, thanks for the feedback.
Thanks :-) Right now I am mostly doing Skyrim PC mod spotlights and Call of Duty. On my COD videos most of the time I just talk about random stuff, not the game. I am starting a Dragonborn let's play also. I was in the middle of a Dawnguard let's play but never really finished it. I appreciate the comment and for subbing, thanks again!
Yes you can go back to the drafting table and remove a wing and build another. The drawback is that you waste all of the building materials you already used and any furnishings inside. So that could be thousands of gold, but if you have the gold and really want to change it you can.
If you ask your steward to furnish the areas they add every possible item I believe. To fix that yourself you would have to go outside to the main workbench and add a workbench in the great hall. Then go inside to that workbench and choose to remove the alchemy lab. Then go back outside and remove the inside workbench. What 3 wings do you have? But that should remove the inside alchemy lab, same goes for the arcane enchanter upstairs if you didn't want that either. Hope this helps!
hey i came here because i am curious why i rarely get trouble at lakeview manor. giant only attacked once, bandits only attacked twice, none was kidnapped. because i play it at adept level ?? just advice: when you build a home, it should be a home
Of the 3 properties you can build, this one gets randomly attacked the most for sure. I get a giant about once a week that kills my cow and chickens, then attacks me. Not sure what you are asking about the alchemy lab. You can build a tower for it that has tons of storage and the alchemy table. Or you can simply add an alchemy table upstairs in the great hall then build another tower for something else. Sorry for the late reply, I have been sick. Hope this helps
I don't remember specifically but I think it is : sawn log, nails, refined moonstone, iron ingot, Grand soul gem (filled), and a gold ingot. Just need one of each.
I am pretty sure you can go back to the drafting table and remove the bedroom as the entrance and then build the entryway. You will lose anything you have furnished but I think you can change it.
I would think so. To be honest I did everything myself without a housecarl so I am not sure. But I would think furnishing one item yourself would not prevent you from having him do it. If not you can always get the supplies and do it, doesn't take that long for the cellar.
so, I decided to have lakeview manor aside from breezehome! right after I finished the basic house, a frost dragon popped out of nowhere and started to go frenzy, I killed him but now his skeleton just be there right in front of the door!
Hey. After building it at the work station outside I went into the cellar and there was a workbench right by the entrance. It had all the options there to furnish it. I never had a steward, I just made the items myself from all the workbenches around the house. Go to the drafting table outside and see if you can add a workbench to the cellar, from there you should be able to make all the items that you want like I did. Otherwise not too sure.
I think your wing is the bedrooms which also has a balcony over it. I am not sure what the decoration options are for the exterior of that. Go back to the drafting table and put back in a workbench for that wing and see if there are some exterior items you didn't build. I know for the armory wing those were options for me to build on the balcony.
I had to look at several different merchants, depends who has what at the time. The general store in Whiterun sold me all of those items, it just depends on what they have and how much at a time. Glass and straw you can find at general stores for sure.
Haha ya you have to choose wisely lol. Well if you have more money just go build in Falkreath or Dawnstar. I am uploading a video in the morning of my new Dawnstar house and I chose 3 different wings from my Falkreath property. The new one I am doing bedrooms, storage wing and a big kitchen. So I will finish in Morthal with a greenhouse, trophy room and library. 3 houses all different is the plan
I am pretty sure that any of your followers will serve as a housecarl. Not totally sure, but after completing some quests and quest lines you end up with lots of potential followers that will volunteer. Or you can hire one, there are a few for hire around Skyrim.
I am not quite sure. If I had to guess it would between 10,000 and 20,000 gold. It takes quite a bit for all of the logs, iron and other ingots you need to craft the house itself and all of the stuff inside. You can saw your own logs and mine your own ingots, but that would take forever.
There really is no way :-( Yesterday I opened my door leaving this house and there was a Giant standing there that attacked me. I think it is just random attacks, not sure why.
That was the single mannequin in the enchanting tower. I think I did have armor on one mannequin in the armory and it was either dragon scale armor or my daedric armor. Not sure off hand.
I got the green house, and regret it. At first there were butterflies all over the greenhouse, really pretty. But they despawned and bees took their place. The bees sound like flies, they get out of the green house and the buzzing drives you crazy. And the house carl leaves the doors open . They keep respawning too. Why can't the butterflies respawn instead. but the greenhouse is sortof neat in spite of that.
Seems wonderful and breathtaking....except for that occasional trespassing warlock who did not seem like anyone who would respect a College of Winterhold archmage.
i am going for a stealth assassin nord build but I like to make my own potions so I was thinking greenhouse poiton making tower and a armory for awesome armour that you collect. I don't like the thropy room, but I was planning for a family to live in the house so a bed room might be appropriate. the thing is that you can have potion brwer in the house without the potion tower so it feels like an waist of space.. and you can plant ingredients in the garden outside so the green house also becomes usless exept you can stay in the house while collecting them and it looks cool. sorry for my spelling I am to lazy to correct my self and I am not exactly good at spelling.
My 3 wings are Alchemy Tower, Bedrooms, Armory, I have a steward protecting kids and wife while I'm gone bashing shills in with my trusty great axe Wutthrad and fully furnished everything.... so happy bout it!!!
Hello. No the game assigns where the furniture and everything goes. You get to pick the layout of the house and what to build inside, but the game puts all the furniture and items where it has them assigned. Hope that helps
I made these videos on XBOX, but now the DLC is out for PC and PS3 as well. These are available to anyone now, so for PS3 it should be wherever downloadable content can be bought from on the PSN. It only costs $5 too which is really nice.
Ya sometimes it glitches. I have had trouble in general with the display cases. Sometimes they don't work and sometimes I place stuff in them and come back and find it on the ground. Not sure how to fix it, sorry.
The same thing happened to my brother on his Xbox, I made a new character and it allows me to move them in there, I am still seeing if I can try to fix the bug on my main character
That table with stones around it at 0:50 to 0:53 is your necromancer neighbors place . He or she will attack you if you go down there. Just so you know.
It is vampire armor and boots from the Dawnguard DLC with the Mask of Clavicus Vile. When I made the video I hadn't really moved all of my cool armor sets, I was just getting this out of my inventory so I could carry more materials for building. Looks pretty cool though I thought. Thanks for the comment.
Questions : Do bees actually fly around the apiary? Or the apiary just acts as a container? How many days/weeks/months to make the bees appear? They just spawn inside the Apiary every 10 days. Wonder why they don't fly around the apiary though.
Unfortunately I think you are stuck. When I go back to the drafting table I don't see any options to remove wings. I can look around online real quick to see if I can find anything, but from what I have seen so far I am not sure if you can. Sorry.
To build the Arcane Enchanter you need: sawn log, glass, nails, refined moonstone, iron ingot, grand soul gem (filled) and a gold ingot. This will work for either the enchanting tower if you build that wing, or just the enchanter upstairs if you build bedrooms or a greenhouse.
Hello. I actually furnished everything myself. I went and got a ton of materials and just went inside the rooms with the work benches and built everything it said I could. Maybe you have to do some of it on your own? That's what I did..
Say what? I have pretty much everything built. This video came out the week the DLC dropped for XBOX, so I was quick to get the video out to show all of the stuff. What was I missing that you noticed?
I guess sabre cat tooth is a problem to all . Of us. As soon we are building a house and have materials to build another, we didn't found Sabre cat tooths yet
don't think you can do that unless you reload a save where you didn't build yet, but you would probably lose much progress in game. So, you're basically out of luck.
What's up about the green house? I want to build one when I have everything else built. The garden area is small and can only plant a few different types of flowers and herb plants. Can't even plant nirnroot. I wish I could plant it but the game wouldn't allow it. Trust me though I'm totally not complaining at all. Once I seen the building materials around the house outside and having the anvil to make locks and hinges and other building materials I was like this is going to get real good and interesting very quick. I was up till midnight last night just building my charaters house and building some of the furniture. Off to a great start but just need to bring the stuff from the house in Whiterun to lakeview manor. I had a second question too. Can a house in any of the town's be sold or are they permanently owned in the game? I want to sell the house in Whiterun.
It has the balcony, sadly i hear that the house building's from Heartfire has a lot of glitches and bugs on it. I've been on all 5 of my different character profiles and all have the same problem when it comes to building for the balcony, but nothing ever appears once built. I was soooooo looking forward to the house looking lovely, then all of a sudden my balcony is glitched and bugged :(
How did you furnish the top floor and bedroom and cellar? I LOVE the blacksmith forge... I asked my housecarl to furnish the bedroom (along with everything else) and the bottom floor is perfection much like yours but she the top floor is unfurnished and the cellar is completely unfinished. :(
Who else thinks Skyrim is the best game in the world?

I am not quite sure. If I had to guess it would between 10,000 and 20,000 gold. It takes quite a bit for all of the logs, iron and other ingots you need to craft the house itself and all of the stuff inside. You can saw your own logs and mine your own ingots, but that would take forever.
for some reaason i can't draw the enchater's and alchemist's tower
to get your stuff to your new house just put all of it in your inventory even if its to much weight and get on a horse and fast travel
There really is no way :-( Yesterday I opened my door leaving this house and there was a Giant standing there that attacked me. I think it is just random attacks, not sure why.
i just found this vid but it is Random, along with Skeevers in the cellars
@@Nexty_34 yep random
the house looks awesome, but in the main hall you're missing a mounted elk head over the fireplace
Try having your spouse move to Lake view, then talk to your kids, it will take some time for them to show up, but they should eventually arrive.
There is still a master bedroom upstairs, I just didn't choose bedrooms as a wing. I don't need extra beds or furniture
i am going for a stealth assassin nord build but I like to make my own potions so I was thinking greenhouse poiton making tower and a armory for awesome armour that you collect.
There's a dead wood cutter on the left side of the house with an axe called the woodman's friend.
i recomend just buying the house upgrades instead saves time and money but it will take time for all the rooms to be complete
My 3 wings are Alchemy Tower, Bedrooms, Armory, I have a steward protecting kids and wife while I'm gone bashing shills in with my trusty great axe Wutthrad and fully furnished everything.... so happy bout it!!!
Hey we get all DLC half off for the first week its out. Hearthfire does not come free, It will cost $2.50 Febuary 19-26.
Ok no problem, hopefully you got everything answered. If you need any other help just let me know.
Ok thanks I'm getting the dlc today so thanks for the quick response
Ya you are limited to just 3 wings, and you only get certain options for each wing: North, East and West.
if your playing on pc just use cm to get your backpack space up then move em faster
Ya sometimes it glitches. I have had trouble in general with the display cases. Sometimes they don't work and sometimes I place stuff in them and come back and find it on the ground. Not sure how to fix it, sorry.
Anyone else not know about this until Sips Skyrim playthrough
Just btw if you didn't know you need amulets of those gods to build the shrines
The same thing happened to my brother on his Xbox, I made a new character and it allows me to move them in there, I am still seeing if I can try to fix the bug on my main character
That table with stones around it at 0:50 to 0:53 is your necromancer neighbors place . He or she will attack you if you go down there. Just so you know.
I did sort of the same thing except I made a bedroom where the enchanter room is
It is vampire armor and boots from the Dawnguard DLC with the Mask of Clavicus Vile. When I made the video I hadn't really moved all of my cool armor sets, I was just getting this out of my inventory so I could carry more materials for building. Looks pretty cool though I thought. Thanks for the comment.
I like the casual necromancer 50 ft from your house
Nice work
Really? Didn't know that. I will have to check it out. Thanks !
