Goldenhills plantation is also the most profitable if you plant the right ingredients. Whether you're into alchemy or not, it's just three ingredients so it's simple and levels the skill fast. At max you make about 1500 gold per potion plus however much passive income you're making from the farm (I think mine fully upgraded is about 3-5k every few days). The only time consuming parts are gathering the ingredients, and waiting for them to start generating in bulk. Ingredients are: Scaly pholiota, Mora tapinella, and Creep cluster. After all that, feel free to stomp on Nazeem's ego with how successful your farm is compared to his, or prepare to swim in your gold like Scrooge McDuck.
In the dwarven home: in the kitchen, it's not a bath but more like a giant sink. You did miss the baths of the house that even have a sauna where you can turn the steam on and off, which is pretty cool. You missed quite a few secrets of Shadow Sanctum, my favorite home personally... Hendraheim isn't a "boat turned upside down", the mead halls like Jorrvaskr are inspired by Norse architecture, Viking longhouses. Little tip for Myrwatch: if you are tired of the leveled chaurus, note, and bottle respawning every time and are playing on PC, open the console command, click on the corpse/item, and enter "disable", it will prevent it from coming back.
Love this video. My favourite house is Hendrahome because it's compact, beautiful, and has the best lighting in the display area (why are most display rooms so dark??). However, I also make use of Goldenhills, Gallows Hall, and Myrwatch for practical reasons. Goldenhills Plantation: the contents of the house respawn, including food and soul gems. Combined with Gallows Hall, this is a source of infinite black soul gems. If you get this house asap, you have a ridiculous amount of money. Also, a correction. After you finish the quest you can dismiss your steward and reclaim them as a companion if you wish. I typically use Faendal as my steward. Hendraheim: You don't need to wait for the courier. You can just go there and attack her and get the home whenever you want. Myrwatch: the forge in Myrwatch is an "All Forge", which means it's the only forge in the game that can forge anything. This includes Nordic Hero weapons (Skyforge only).
I never knew there was a place for necromancy. I made the H place my main for my mage once I learned about it (moving was a bitch) after initially living in the tundra homestead on that save file. As far as cuteness and storage goes that's still my all time favorite. I ultimately decided on the H place over Myrwatch because H had a spot for dragon claws and I WANT THEM ALL.
Tundra Homestead is one of my favorites. It has a garden in the back where you can grow alchemy ingredients and you do not have to buy the house to use the garden.
I will say survival mode really colors my opinions on the houses, if I can't get to it quickly I wont use it. Goldenhills is an amazing home for alchemy ingredients but it's far from carriage points or docks so I can't use it on vanilla survival saves.
I live everything about survival appart from the no fast travel, so I modded that aspect out of the game 👍🏻 Skyrim was made with fast travel in mind so until I find a mod that adds more cart point. I'll be keeping the fast travel

Late to the game lol but my favorite is definitely Bloodchill manor. Couple things you didn’t show:( and so sorry if other comments already mentioned this) Also please excuse my spelling mistakes Hendraheim there is an entire smithing area off to the side of the house on the outside. Bloodchill manor- if you leave and come back after the quest is over they removed all the dead bodies, took out the large dinner table in the display room,and instead added mannequins all around which is super nice. They also added mannequins to the master room and kids room. In my opinion this house is the absolute best. I love the ambiance (yes there could be more lighting but like you I walk around with candlelight spell and problem solved), all the many displays throughout etc. A big thing for me is storage near anything I’m crafting/enchanting. I like to separate all my items/ingredients and I love how there are like 3 separate chests and a lockbox right next to the smithing area to organize everything to make it all easier. Same with enchanting room. Also love how they made this home human AND vampire friendly so if you want the vamp experience you can sleep in coffins, and if not there are beds. All in all my top 3 are: (in order) 1. Bloodchill Manor 2. Myrewatch 3. Hendraheim

i love the goldenhills plantation home due to the many plots to grow ingredients which also get auto farmed and placed in the pantry outside the alchemy/enchanting room along with the almost 600 gold per day that can build up, also the food, ingredients inside the house also respawn after x amount of time away from the home (not sure of the fish barrels outside)
Is there anything you have to do for the planted items to get auto collected? Do the ingredients get collected at the same rate as if you collected it or is it a bit slower? I love having a bunch of crops going for different potions and for power leveling Alchemy so the plantation sounds like a great option.
@@mournclaw4476 You need to have the farm fully upgraded to benefit from the collecting part: chickens make for auto eggs, goats for milk, and farmhands for ingredients. Your steward collects the money for you, and if you have a wife living there you could have her as the store to sell harvests too, if you don't want to use it for cooking and/or Alchemy.
What i love about the tundra homestead above all the others is the amount of inventory there is I like to organise my bits next to where theyre needed and it just has the perfect amount. The other homes are missing 1 or 2 chests/sacks/barrels next to where i need them
The plantation offers the most utility gameplay wise. I can hold all of my pets there, plus Vigilance can be set to guard the farm. If you have adopted, then the children can either find a pet of their own or can adopt a stray the player brings home - reopening the pet slot for a riekling follower or that goblin.
@@bradhedgehog12 firstly, aquire the plantation - fully upgrade and hire steward - basically finish the quest in its entirety. Secondly, go get Vigilance and come back to farm. Talk to him and the option to guard the farm should appear. Select that and wallah. Thirdly, you must have a kid inorder to aquire Meeko as a pet without filling your pet slot. So aquire a child and tell them to go to the plantation THEN go to Meeko and bring him back to the farm. Let the kid adopt meeko, simply by leaving and coming back indoors until the dialogue prompts, usually happens first try but this is Skyrim so.. yeah. Fourthly, gather the rest of these animals and send them to the farm. You want to save either the riekling or goblin as your last pet followers because once dismissed they head back to their place of origin which is far a.f. The riekling is top tier due to it being able to equip giants club. That AND it can wear enchanted rings and necklaces (o.p. fortify health/stamina enchantments) Hope this helps!
Be careful in adopting and making sure the children's room is separate from the master's-it bugged both kids I first tried to Tundra Homestead. Both girls ended up stuck where I asked them about adopting them with their "I need to get my things and I'll meet you there" line the only one that comes out
Yeah, I had lots of problems with Tundra Homestead and family. I had married Ysolda, adopting Sophie and Lucia. Ysolda wants to establish a store after marriage. But the first house I moved her into was GoldenHills plantation, she would not start the store. I figured it was too far from a major town so I moved her into Tundra figuring it would be close enough to Whiterun. Sigh after a short time in Tundra Ysolda told me I had to leave and she would not let me sleep in a house I purchased. So figuring modern family politics should not be part of a medieval world setting I left and built a Hearthfire home. I went back to Tundra and told Ysolda to move there. Sure enough, she did, but only one of the girls showed up there. Sigh, I went back to Tundra and found the other one piddling around there still. So, I told her to "go home" and, she started off towards the new Hearthfire home on foot!!!! So, I walked with her, slowly! Every so far it seemed like she got lost and I would go back and tell here to go home. Finally I walked her to the new home and got the kids in bed. Once having slept at the new home things settled down and Ysolda started her store. I'm betting that NONE of the Anniversary edition homes actually work with a family. Ever since I got Skyrim 8 or 9 years ago it seems I have battled as many bugs as bandits, bears, undead, and dragons.
I tried to move one to the Nacharthumz and well she just stood in town an never left lol I honestly forgot about her till I built the Hearthfire house just because I wanted hawk ingredients and she popped up there asking for a allowance 😂
little tip any house you can buy from stewards if you're near something you can store something in once you buy it if you're fast enough you can store all your gold and get the place for free you'll just have to pay for any renovations you just have to talk to them when they're right next to it and you can open it before they take the gold
Hendraheim is my favorite as far as looks and displays so that’s where I’ll set up all the unique items. Golden glow farm for utility and Myratch for forging because as someone pointed out it’s the only place to forge certain weapons
My favorite newbie house is the one that starts off at a fake dinner party for vampires who put on an act of “normal” humans at a regular dinner party until they surround the Dragonborn and attack him. Love that house. That and the one set for a necromancer.
I realy like the dwemer architecture... thats why Markarth next to Riften is my favorite town. But everytime someone does a Dwemer home it comes out to have way to much open empty space in my opinion... :D

I own every home in skyrim se I have house Carl's in the city homes and Lydia is one of them and she is also my follower if I ask , the hearthfire homes all have house Carl's, stewards , and bards , when I'm out saving the world I come home to a full house two are sleeping the bard is using my stuff or eating, they never sleep , I can also use the house Carl's or stewards as followers, right now serana is follower at the moment, skyrim is still fun and I've been playing it since 2011
The cave with the ship is also a bonus home in ES 4 Oblivion. Almost identical setup with a secret door into the bedroom of the regional countess. The staff of worms also comes from ES 4, there it is the staff of Mannimarco, the end boss of the mages guild questline in that game. It has the same design. The dungeon area in the vampire home is also borrowed from ES4 where that is incorporated in the dark brotherhood bonus home. Maybe you could unlock this feature with sombody you have to "recruit" to dwell there, as sort of easy vampire snack. Also perhaps you could get particular stewards for these homes, normal followers do not offer this function.
I have like 5 or 6 if these homes but still I always only use Tundra Homestead. The location an how everything's all right close by makes it the perfect adventuring house. Pluse it cost just as much as Breeze Home fully upgraded so it's not crazy expensive like the houses in Markarth an Solitude. All of these render the Hearthfire homes pointless.
Honestly as cool of an idea as the pirate ship home is. It’s way too dark. Takes 3 loading screens to get too. And all the displayed items get thrown all over the place when the ghosts spawn. So if you wanna use it as a player home it’ll take forever to look presentable. Easily the worst player home. Gallows hall would also seemingly have this issue given the items flying about the room. But it’s only like 3 items so it’s pretty easy to clean up.
My thing about a home is that I don't feel like running around to much for access. That's why I tend not to like the big homes with all the halls and levels. IRL I prefer ranchers (as do most according to price tags) because having to run up and down stairs is the worst. It's kind of like the minecraft mentallity too where you start thinking....what's the point of building some huge lavish house and making decor like tables and chairs. You're not going to sit in them. You're not going to actually eat dinner at the table lol. So you come to an understanding that video game homes are mostly used as a storage area. You want ease of access. IMO. For that reason I'd go with the Hendrahiem home (companions upside down boat style) Half the other ones have horrible lighting btw. The only reason I'd ever pick a different one is if I'm in the mood to Roleplay and match the home to the character build. So if I were to make a mage, I would do the tower. etc... I know this is probably an unpopular opinion but I kind of enjoy the home you can buy in Windhelm. It's just nice and cozy and interesting. Sometimes you're just content to play the game and shove all your goodies in a chest to get on with it vs all of the displaying.

I never use the bug jar style storages because the items NEVER stay in place. It always somehow winds up at the main door. (They really needed to turn off physics for these displays).
I love the house in My watch and in the plantation the "farm house" you can add so much to the farm including farmers who place everything from your garden into a cabinet. You make money from the plantation as well
Thanks for a great vid. You didn't mention what i consider the best part of Goldenhills, the passive income. After spending for the upgrades your Steward will accrue profits from the farm. If you plant only Blisterwort you can expect about 6k per week. You collect it from the Steward whenever you visit. You'll recover the upgrade costs in less than 2 weeks. p.s. The cat's not gonna listen anyway, they do what they want. If they added cats to Skyrim they'd probably just wander off.
Get Jenassa from the Drunken Huntsman shop in Whiterun as best early follower. She'll carry you. Then marry her. She owns a shop with passive income. Then make her the steward of Goldenhills. Watch the money pour in every time you visit. And she can protect the plantation.
Also didn't mention how they harvest the ingredients for you each day you're not there an put them in a pantry by the enchanting and alchemy room. Also you can turn the child's room into a tiny gallery.
But is Goldenhills giant-proof? The _Hearthfire_ manor in Falkreath (I forget its name just now as I haven't been able to play in weeks) certainly isn't... every time I tried to start a dairy by having my steward buy cattle I'd come home to find the cows slaughtered...!
Designer of tundra homestead and hendraheim: we have room for alchemy table, enchanter, crazy display and all those fancy stuff. But you need to share a room with your kids though.
My favorite is bloodchill manor, it's a bit more spacious than the tower (which is my second favorite). My least favorite is probably the pirate ship, too much space and not enough of it is useful.
My favorites are the plantation and the warrior themed one. I just wish there was more. I want there to be a castle or big mansion that is themed like the solitude house and has more than 2 cjjld beds. I have a multiple adoption mod and i have 2 sons and a daughter. Its kinda awkward that one doesn't have a bed lol
Well, as a survival player you need to change the list drastically, the tundra homestead and dead man's dread go to the bottom of the list and shadow foot sanctum and myrwatch are at the top because fast travel is disabled
Hendraheim is the house i go for every character i play regardless of roleplay. Its just such a cozy house and i love its interior design. Plus having enchant and alchemy tables inside as well as full smith setup outside is perfect. Also the number of plaques for weapons and mannequins is just amazing honestly. Easily the best creation club house imo
Again no that isn't it for Dead Man's Dread. You again missed the ship's map, so I'm Just gonna explain what it does. The map in the map room enables you to fast travel to any dock on the coast you have been to, including Raven Rock.

Dead Man's Dread is the one piece of CC content I regret buying; it's one redeeming quality is the tribute to Cyrus from The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard (Howard's first TES game, if I remember correctly). As a home it's inconvenient, and Dunbarrow Cove from Oblivion did the whole 'clear out skeletons from a pirate ship in a cave' already and did it better; Dunbarrow Cove had multiple trainers, spell merchants, a training chest for the security skill, and wasn't too big or smalI, and you could send your pirate crew put to plunder. DM'sD feels empty by comparison.
Goldenhills is such a great money maker; once you plant your crops, just come back every couple of days and you can get thousands of gold, as well as your spouses shop gold. I’ve had that house for maybe an in-game month, and I’ve made enough to purchase Proudspire from just the plantation and spouse shop gold alone.
I think if the game allows you to hire or command a crew of your own recruitment to actualy be hands for the ship and occupy and do menial jobs, that would be cool, but of course I'm sure we'd all love to sail too lol
Hendraheim, Myrwatch, and golden plantaion are my top 3 creation club homes but I get ever single one so have mutiple rest stops to unload if uncumbered with all inventory maxed comanpions
Same here! It's my adventuring home, it's just the right size to dump all my loot off before heading out again. It's cozy an everything's right there without walking all around. The gallery isn't the biggest but still big enough, only gripe is just the 1 chest down in the gallery.
Least favorite -- Falkreath home. Trophy room is totally lame, and the Armory weapon racks are bugged -- you can place weapons in them, but can't remove them.
I like hendraheim but it’s located on worst area. I would like if it just located like Norse ways close to waters like close to city of dawnstar. Dawn star is very Norse-like. Traditional ways of using boats and ships and you row into waters for raiding and plundering. Come home and sing a song of battles. So what I’m saying is Hemdraheim is very Norse longhouse and should be close to waters or somewhere else that are very Norse-Viking ways. Your opinion???
Bloodchill has the most mannequins I think. You don't see them in the video because I believe after you fight the vampires and get the house, you need to leave the cave then come back. The dinner table up top in the display room will be gone and there will be a ton of mannequins up there.
My character is a rich noordic thief and gang leader i have several followers st all times and a big psrt of my character and being rich is real estate i love own in lotss of property. I would like the ship one more uf you could use it to fast travel. Missed opportunity
A little late but i think shadowfoot is the best for survival because its at a major city so you can take a carriage to riften and easily access the house from the secret entrance in the water in less than 10 seconds
My favourite house is Goldenhills Plantation for its money making and Alchemy abilities, but man I can't wait to get my dragon flying license with Bend Will because in Survival Mode it's such a time dump to get there.
the one problem I had with the otherwise beautiful Tundra Homestead is that if you put armor on the downstairs manikens, they would initially show that they are wearing the armor, but if you went back upstairs and back downstairs again, the manniken would not be wearing the armor you just gave it. It would still have the armor, but it would not be worn.
Personally i like the Tunda home the best. Plus there is a separate mod that allows you to make it bigger, with a 2nd floor and expanded living space with so many rooms. Plus the basement is also expanded with plenty of displays for armor, weaps, etc. And it also adds a 2nd home next to the main home for followers. Only thing missing i believe is Staff Enchanter. But i just added this mod, and haven't explored everything yet. So it might have Staff Enchanter as well.
I just started playing, spent 5k on breeze and after that got tundra, lemme just say tundra is incredible for how small and compact it is, its got nearly everything u need while feeling comfy af
I was surprised how much I loves blood Hill manor. not really into playing ad a vampire but it's great to role play as a van helsing type vampire hunter that took over a ex vampire castle.
Illia is the only follower I've never been able to have as a follower again once making her a steward. But her character was flawed like that since skyrim came out with this bug even after dismissed. Mod I use works around the bug though.
Shadowfoot Sanctum: A home for bald daedra's servant. It make your another way to thieve guild. Tundra Homestead: A base between Whiterun and Heljarchen Hall. Dead Man's Dread: Little meanless ship house Gallows Hall: Grab the treasure in here and can be forgotten. Farm House: Farming house, yet I still can't find a fine comrade for rule this place. (Update: a very good place for harvest milk and butter) Nchuanthumz: I had terrible experience by dragon appear inside the entrance, and that is meanless go to here. Hendraheim: A house between reach and falkreath. Bloodchill Manor: Armor display museum. Myrwatch: True hjaalmarch home.
I decided for my mage and what I wanted to accomplish as far as collecting (only been playing for about three months) this was the best spot. The storage isn't the best but that's because of location rather than it not being there. Unless chests, satchels, and long boxes run out of space I make it work. I dont have any interest in staffs but I found Myrwatch just for the items and now that I know there's a necromancy home I'll use that for items as well.
I love Hendraheim; it's location layout, everything. And right behind it is one of the largest ruins in the game. just climb over the mountain at one end. One of the most stunning views in Skyrim.
I just got the anniversary edition. Also I don't think that the upside down boat was inspired by the companions building, think it was a quest for the mead hall.
Unfortunately the player home I suggest is a mod. It is called "Storm Watch Castle" its fantastic. I wished it was a non-mod/vanilla because it is huge and has alot of manquins

Some of these places I like, but if I had the chance to build my own house, my own settlement than I would take that over a already built home that should one else has already made, thank god that Fallout 4 had settlement build in it, because I loved that and here is hoping Elder Scrolls 6 has settlement build in it also.
My only complaint about Myrwatch is that I can't display the Amethyst Claw (the one that's broken in half), so I have it in Bloodchill Manor; not having a bust for Mirrak's mask is forgiven because that's what mannequins are for.
My favorite house is Bloodchill Manor. I am just in love with that house. Now the reason Bloodchill Manor is my favorite home, it is hidden, not out in the open and not only that no one knows about the home instead of that one dawnguard who was drunk so probably not really going to remember or bother the character at all. The other's homes no, just no. First off there is a civil war going on, so I'd rather not be near that at all. Or even close to it. That is indeed a death sentence to me in the cities. Not another home, the one near a mage Toward and the forsawn, hell no. You never know they might decide to attack, not only that there literally is a bear right down from the tree. The one near Moral, sure is great and everything for a mage but not really. A vampire was easily able to trick everyone. Even after dealing with the threatened me not to think being near that place is smart. Seeing how easily vampires were able to live close there, probably feeding on people while they sleep. The pirate ship house, is good but it would have been better if you could actually go sailing the sea and actually get crew members which you can't so it is a no go to me. Now for the necromancer house, I do like it but the only problem is, no. The house had the owner's soul there, if my character dies nope I don't want their soul being trapped in there and not only that it is kinda creepy with the dead bodies, (I am a black woman and black people don't do that.) So I will complete the quest but never live there. Now for the Dwarves house even after fixing it and everything. We all know bandits love attacking that place and getting rid of the machines and some bandits might still be able to do it. It is a nice house with lots of rooms and space but no, it is not for me because there is too much space for anything or anyone to hide. So the house that is the winner for me is Bloodchill Manor because really no one would probably dare come to it, but then again there is a bandits camp right down it if anyone is a vampire and needs to feed real quickly and they don't come near the house either so therefore that house is a winner to me. But that is just my opinion and why I won't go to other houses. I am not saying Skyrim players shouldn't. I say, what ever works for Skyrim players do it. But personally I won't never live or storage anything in all those houses instead of Bloodchill Manor. But that's just my opinion I kinda wonder what new house gets used the most though.
it's just breaks my immersion when the courier greets me right outside the cave. Like he had to climb up the mountain just to deliver me a letter from Calcelmo, asking for a single dwarven arrow. Now that's what I call a great delivery service lol
I don't understand why people complain about homes costing money. Especially if you're a thief or assassin try some alchemy sell those potions Within 1 hour you'll have 250,000 septims. Stop complaining money, it is not a problem in Skyrim it's literally the easiest way you can solve a problem.

As a disgusting Skyrim/Fallout 4 survival mode goblin, I sometimes I am locked out of content due to bugs, so getting all these new buildings to use after getting permanently locked out of my houses/areas makes me happy Edit: I love how he just didn't care about getting the staff if worms. A free dead thrall at level 1 will change these silly challenge runs forever
All houses and decorations are free if you can quickly place the Gold in a draw or cupboard ect...As long as you put all of your Gold in one of those stashes I've mentioned before he finishes his speech after you accept. Rinse and repeat for your decorations. It's an idea to make sure your stood next to a d facing one of those stashes. Just quick save before you start incase you miss time it and that can be easily done if you have never tried it before. ;-)

You can make potions worth like 4-5k if you have full alchemy perks and the windstad manor with the fish hatchery. Salmon roe bro. Look it up.

For the Shadowfoot Sanctum you don't have to exit from anywhere. You can just fast travel from it as if it were outside.

In the dwarven home: in the kitchen, it's not a bath but more like a giant sink. You did miss the baths of the house that even have a sauna where you can turn the steam on and off, which is pretty cool.
You missed quite a few secrets of Shadow Sanctum, my favorite home personally...
Hendraheim isn't a "boat turned upside down", the mead halls like Jorrvaskr are inspired by Norse architecture, Viking longhouses.
Little tip for Myrwatch: if you are tired of the leveled chaurus, note, and bottle respawning every time and are playing on PC, open the console command, click on the corpse/item, and enter "disable", it will prevent it from coming back.

Love this video. My favourite house is Hendrahome because it's compact, beautiful, and has the best lighting in the display area (why are most display rooms so dark??). However, I also make use of Goldenhills, Gallows Hall, and Myrwatch for practical reasons.
Goldenhills Plantation: the contents of the house respawn, including food and soul gems. Combined with Gallows Hall, this is a source of infinite black soul gems. If you get this house asap, you have a ridiculous amount of money. Also, a correction. After you finish the quest you can dismiss your steward and reclaim them as a companion if you wish. I typically use Faendal as my steward.
Hendraheim: You don't need to wait for the courier. You can just go there and attack her and get the home whenever you want.
Myrwatch: the forge in Myrwatch is an "All Forge", which means it's the only forge in the game that can forge anything. This includes Nordic Hero weapons (Skyforge only).
I never knew there was a place for necromancy. I made the H place my main for my mage once I learned about it (moving was a bitch) after initially living in the tundra homestead on that save file. As far as cuteness and storage goes that's still my all time favorite. I ultimately decided on the H place over Myrwatch because H had a spot for dragon claws and I WANT THEM ALL.

Tundra Homestead is one of my favorites. It has a garden in the back where you can grow alchemy ingredients and you do not have to buy the house to use the garden.
I will say survival mode really colors my opinions on the houses, if I can't get to it quickly I wont use it. Goldenhills is an amazing home for alchemy ingredients but it's far from carriage points or docks so I can't use it on vanilla survival saves.
I live everything about survival appart from the no fast travel, so I modded that aspect out of the game 👍🏻
Skyrim was made with fast travel in mind so until I find a mod that adds more cart point. I'll be keeping the fast travel

Late to the game lol but my favorite is definitely Bloodchill manor. Couple things you didn’t show:( and so sorry if other comments already mentioned this) Also please excuse my spelling mistakes
Hendraheim there is an entire smithing area off to the side of the house on the outside.
Bloodchill manor- if you leave and come back after the quest is over they removed all the dead bodies, took out the large dinner table in the display room,and instead added mannequins all around which is super nice. They also added mannequins to the master room and kids room. In my opinion this house is the absolute best. I love the ambiance (yes there could be more lighting but like you I walk around with candlelight spell and problem solved), all the many displays throughout etc.
A big thing for me is storage near anything I’m crafting/enchanting. I like to separate all my items/ingredients and I love how there are like 3 separate chests and a lockbox right next to the smithing area to organize everything to make it all easier. Same with enchanting room.
Also love how they made this home human AND vampire friendly so if you want the vamp experience you can sleep in coffins, and if not there are beds.
All in all my top 3 are: (in order)
1. Bloodchill Manor
2. Myrewatch
3. Hendraheim

As someone who spent a lot of time in dwemer ruins and has the Aetherial Crown, I am getting that dwemmer home.
I can deal with the absolute massive area but there's no fast travel point, which is my main gripe with using it.
i love the goldenhills plantation home due to the many plots to grow ingredients which also get auto farmed and placed in the pantry outside the alchemy/enchanting room along with the almost 600 gold per day that can build up, also the food, ingredients inside the house also respawn after x amount of time away from the home (not sure of the fish barrels outside)
Is there anything you have to do for the planted items to get auto collected? Do the ingredients get collected at the same rate as if you collected it or is it a bit slower? I love having a bunch of crops going for different potions and for power leveling Alchemy so the plantation sounds like a great option.
@@mournclaw4476 You need to have the farm fully upgraded to benefit from the collecting part: chickens make for auto eggs, goats for milk, and farmhands for ingredients. Your steward collects the money for you, and if you have a wife living there you could have her as the store to sell harvests too, if you don't want to use it for cooking and/or Alchemy.
What i love about the tundra homestead above all the others is the amount of inventory there is
I like to organise my bits next to where theyre needed and it just has the perfect amount. The other homes are missing 1 or 2 chests/sacks/barrels next to where i need them
The plantation offers the most utility gameplay wise. I can hold all of my pets there, plus Vigilance can be set to guard the farm. If you have adopted, then the children can either find a pet of their own or can adopt a stray the player brings home - reopening the pet slot for a riekling follower or that goblin.
How can you hold all your pets? Hire Vigilantes and such?
@@bradhedgehog12 firstly, aquire the plantation - fully upgrade and hire steward - basically finish the quest in its entirety.
Secondly, go get Vigilance and come back to farm. Talk to him and the option to guard the farm should appear. Select that and wallah.
Thirdly, you must have a kid inorder to aquire Meeko as a pet without filling your pet slot.
So aquire a child and tell them to go to the plantation THEN go to Meeko and bring him back to the farm.
Let the kid adopt meeko, simply by leaving and coming back indoors until the dialogue prompts, usually happens first try but this is Skyrim so.. yeah.
Fourthly, gather the rest of these animals and send them to the farm.
You want to save either the riekling or goblin as your last pet followers because once dismissed they head back to their place of origin which is far a.f.
The riekling is top tier due to it being able to equip giants club.
That AND it can wear enchanted rings and necklaces (o.p. fortify health/stamina enchantments)

Be careful in adopting and making sure the children's room is separate from the master's-it bugged both kids I first tried to Tundra Homestead. Both girls ended up stuck where I asked them about adopting them with their "I need to get my things and I'll meet you there" line the only one that comes out
Yeah, I had lots of problems with Tundra Homestead and family. I had married Ysolda, adopting Sophie and Lucia. Ysolda wants to establish a store after marriage. But the first house I moved her into was GoldenHills plantation, she would not start the store. I figured it was too far from a major town so I moved her into Tundra figuring it would be close enough to Whiterun. Sigh after a short time in Tundra Ysolda told me I had to leave and she would not let me sleep in a house I purchased. So figuring modern family politics should not be part of a medieval world setting I left and built a Hearthfire home. I went back to Tundra and told Ysolda to move there. Sure enough, she did, but only one of the girls showed up there. Sigh, I went back to Tundra and found the other one piddling around there still. So, I told her to "go home" and, she started off towards the new Hearthfire home on foot!!!! So, I walked with her, slowly! Every so far it seemed like she got lost and I would go back and tell here to go home. Finally I walked her to the new home and got the kids in bed. Once having slept at the new home things settled down and Ysolda started her store. I'm betting that NONE of the Anniversary edition homes actually work with a family. Ever since I got Skyrim 8 or 9 years ago it seems I have battled as many bugs as bandits, bears, undead, and dragons.
I tried to move one to the Nacharthumz and well she just stood in town an never left lol I honestly forgot about her till I built the Hearthfire house just because I wanted hawk ingredients and she popped up there asking for a allowance 😂

little tip any house you can buy from stewards if you're near something you can store something in once you buy it if you're fast enough you can store all your gold and get the place for free you'll just have to pay for any renovations you just have to talk to them when they're right next to it and you can open it before they take the gold
Hendraheim is my favorite as far as looks and displays so that’s where I’ll set up all the unique items. Golden glow farm for utility and Myratch for forging because as someone pointed out it’s the only place to forge certain weapons

My favorite newbie house is the one that starts off at a fake dinner party for vampires who put on an act of “normal” humans at a regular dinner party until they surround the Dragonborn and attack him. Love that house. That and the one set for a necromancer.
I realy like the dwemer architecture... thats why Markarth next to Riften is my favorite town. But everytime someone does a Dwemer home it comes out to have way to much open empty space in my opinion... :D
Question have you been having problems with moving children into that house
And more then just Beds for you your spouse and kids but maybe additional people. Like you can Hire Servants or Guards maybe both for it.

I own every home in skyrim se I have house Carl's in the city homes and Lydia is one of them and she is also my follower if I ask , the hearthfire homes all have house Carl's, stewards , and bards , when I'm out saving the world I come home to a full house two are sleeping the bard is using my stuff or eating, they never sleep , I can also use the house Carl's or stewards as followers, right now serana is follower at the moment, skyrim is still fun and I've been playing it since 2011
The cave with the ship is also a bonus home in ES 4 Oblivion. Almost identical setup with a secret door into the bedroom of the regional countess. The staff of worms also comes from ES 4, there it is the staff of Mannimarco, the end boss of the mages guild questline in that game. It has the same design. The dungeon area in the vampire home is also borrowed from ES4 where that is incorporated in the dark brotherhood bonus home. Maybe you could unlock this feature with sombody you have to "recruit" to dwell there, as sort of easy vampire snack. Also perhaps you could get particular stewards for these homes, normal followers do not offer this function.

I have like 5 or 6 if these homes but still I always only use Tundra Homestead. The location an how everything's all right close by makes it the perfect adventuring house. Pluse it cost just as much as Breeze Home fully upgraded so it's not crazy expensive like the houses in Markarth an Solitude. All of these render the Hearthfire homes pointless.
I have not played the anniversary edition yet, but out of the houses that you have shown, I like the vampire house .
Honestly as cool of an idea as the pirate ship home is. It’s way too dark. Takes 3 loading screens to get too. And all the displayed items get thrown all over the place when the ghosts spawn. So if you wanna use it as a player home it’ll take forever to look presentable. Easily the worst player home.
Gallows hall would also seemingly have this issue given the items flying about the room. But it’s only like 3 items so it’s pretty easy to clean up.
My thing about a home is that I don't feel like running around to much for access. That's why I tend not to like the big homes with all the halls and levels. IRL I prefer ranchers (as do most according to price tags) because having to run up and down stairs is the worst. It's kind of like the minecraft mentallity too where you start thinking....what's the point of building some huge lavish house and making decor like tables and chairs. You're not going to sit in them. You're not going to actually eat dinner at the table lol. So you come to an understanding that video game homes are mostly used as a storage area. You want ease of access. IMO.
For that reason I'd go with the Hendrahiem home (companions upside down boat style) Half the other ones have horrible lighting btw. The only reason I'd ever pick a different one is if I'm in the mood to Roleplay and match the home to the character build. So if I were to make a mage, I would do the tower. etc...
I know this is probably an unpopular opinion but I kind of enjoy the home you can buy in Windhelm. It's just nice and cozy and interesting. Sometimes you're just content to play the game and shove all your goodies in a chest to get on with it vs all of the displaying.

I never use the bug jar style storages because the items NEVER stay in place. It always somehow winds up at the main door. (They really needed to turn off physics for these displays).
Love the vibe and available tools at Tundra Homestead, but Myrwatch is probably the most compact with everything included in one small nice spot.
I love the house in My watch and in the plantation the "farm house" you can add so much to the farm including farmers who place everything from your garden into a cabinet. You make money from the plantation as well
Thanks for a great vid. You didn't mention what i consider the best part of Goldenhills, the passive income. After spending for the upgrades your Steward will accrue profits from the farm. If you plant only Blisterwort you can expect about 6k per week. You collect it from the Steward whenever you visit. You'll recover the upgrade costs in less than 2 weeks.
p.s. The cat's not gonna listen anyway, they do what they want. If they added cats to Skyrim they'd probably just wander off.
Get Jenassa from the Drunken Huntsman shop in Whiterun as best early follower. She'll carry you. Then marry her. She owns a shop with passive income. Then make her the steward of Goldenhills. Watch the money pour in every time you visit. And she can protect the plantation.
Also didn't mention how they harvest the ingredients for you each day you're not there an put them in a pantry by the enchanting and alchemy room. Also you can turn the child's room into a tiny gallery.
But is Goldenhills giant-proof? The _Hearthfire_ manor in Falkreath (I forget its name just now as I haven't been able to play in weeks) certainly isn't... every time I tried to start a dairy by having my steward buy cattle I'd come home to find the cows slaughtered...!

Designer of tundra homestead and hendraheim: we have room for alchemy table, enchanter, crazy display and all those fancy stuff. But you need to share a room with your kids though.
My favorite is bloodchill manor, it's a bit more spacious than the tower (which is my second favorite). My least favorite is probably the pirate ship, too much space and not enough of it is useful.
Myrwatch definitely fulfills my longing for wanting actually live in a Lighthouse so thats dope

My favorites are the plantation and the warrior themed one. I just wish there was more. I want there to be a castle or big mansion that is themed like the solitude house and has more than 2 cjjld beds. I have a multiple adoption mod and i have 2 sons and a daughter. Well, as a survival player you need to change the list drastically, the tundra homestead and dead man's dread go to the bottom of the list and shadow foot sanctum and myrwatch are at the top because fast travel is disabled
Hendraheim is the house i go for every character i play regardless of roleplay. Its just such a cozy house and i love its interior design. Plus having enchant and alchemy tables inside as well as full smith setup outside is perfect. Also the number of plaques for weapons and mannequins is just amazing honestly. Easily the best creation club house imo
Again no that isn't it for Dead Man's Dread. You again missed the ship's map, so I'm Just gonna explain what it does. The map in the map room enables you to fast travel to any dock on the coast you have been to, including Raven Rock.

Dead Man's Dread is the one piece of CC content I regret buying; it's one redeeming quality is the tribute to Cyrus from The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard (Howard's first TES game, if I remember correctly). As a home it's inconvenient, and Dunbarrow Cove from Oblivion did the whole 'clear out skeletons from a pirate ship in a cave' already and did it better; Dunbarrow Cove had multiple trainers, spell merchants, a training chest for the security skill, and wasn't too big or smalI, and you could send your pirate crew put to plunder. DM'sD feels empty by comparison.
Goldenhills is such a great money maker; once you plant your crops, just come back every couple of days and you can get thousands of gold, as well as your spouses shop gold.
I’ve had that house for maybe an in-game month, and I’ve made enough to purchase Proudspire from just the plantation and spouse shop gold alone.

My fav home in creation club was myrwatch and hendraheim but without AE its Hjerim, Dawnstar Santuatary, and Sevrin Manor.
You can use your follower again when your plantation is complete.
Hendraheim, Myrwatch, and golden plantaion are my top 3 creation club homes but I get ever single one so have mutiple rest stops to unload if uncumbered with all inventory maxed comanpions

Same here! It's my adventuring home, it's just the right size to dump all my loot off before heading out again. It's cozy an everything's right there without walking all around. The gallery isn't the biggest but still big enough, only gripe is just the 1 chest down in the gallery.
Least favorite -- Falkreath home. Trophy room is totally lame, and the Armory weapon racks are bugged -- you can place weapons in them, but can't remove them.

I like hendraheim but it’s located on worst area. I would like if it just located like Norse ways close to waters like close to city of dawnstar. Dawn star is very Norse-like. Traditional ways of using boats and ships and you row into waters for raiding and plundering. Come home and sing a song of battles. So what I’m saying is Hemdraheim is very Norse longhouse and should be close to waters or somewhere else that are very Norse-Viking ways. Your opinion???
Bloodchill has the most mannequins I think. You don't see them in the video because I believe after you fight the vampires and get the house, you need to leave the cave then come back. The dinner table up top in the display room will be gone and there will be a ton of mannequins up there.

You can use the ship Dead Man's Dread to fast travel to any port you have visited. Use the chart/map on the table to fast travel.
A little late but i think shadowfoot is the best for survival because its at a major city so you can take a carriage to riften and easily access the house from the secret entrance in the water in less than 10 seconds

My favourite house is Goldenhills Plantation for its money making and Alchemy abilities, but man I can't wait to get my dragon flying license with Bend Will because in Survival Mode it's such a time dump to get there.

the one problem I had with the otherwise beautiful Tundra Homestead is that if you put armor on the downstairs manikens, they would initially show that they are wearing the armor, but if you went back upstairs and back downstairs again, the manniken would not be wearing the armor you just gave it. It would still have the armor, but it would not be worn.
Personally i like the Tunda home the best. Plus there is a separate mod that allows you to make it bigger, with a 2nd floor and expanded living space with so many rooms. Plus the basement is also expanded with plenty of displays for armor, weaps, etc.
And it also adds a 2nd home next to the main home for followers.
Only thing missing i believe is Staff Enchanter. But i just added this mod, and haven't explored everything yet. So it might have Staff Enchanter as well.

Illia is the only follower I've never been able to have as a follower again once making her a steward. But her character was flawed like that since skyrim came out with this bug even after dismissed.
Mod I use works around the bug though.

The Heindrahome, for whatever reason, once I put a weapon on one of the racks, I cannot take it back off!

Hendraheim is great but there’s not enough storage for potions, soul gems etc.
I decided for my mage and what I wanted to accomplish as far as collecting (only been playing for about three months) this was the best spot. The storage isn't the best but that's because of location rather than it not being there. Unless chests, satchels, and long boxes run out of space I make it work.
I dont have any interest in staffs but I found Myrwatch just for the items and now that I know there's a necromancy home I'll use that for items as well.
I love Hendraheim; it's location layout, everything. And right behind it is one of the largest ruins in the game. just climb over the mountain at one end. One of the most stunning views in Skyrim.

Goldehills is extremly glitchy but its a must for every playthough for passive income.
Farmhouse is almost essential for character that only heals with potions and use alchemy.
Unfortunately the player home I suggest is a mod. It is called "Storm Watch Castle" its fantastic. I wished it was a non-mod/vanilla because it is huge and has alot of manquins

Some of these places I like, but if I had the chance to build my own house, my own settlement than I would take that over a already built home that should one else has already made, thank god that Fallout 4 had settlement build in it, because I loved that and here is hoping Elder Scrolls 6 has settlement build in it also.

I like number 1 and the small one near whiterun
My only complaint about Myrwatch is that I can't display the Amethyst Claw (the one that's broken in half), so I have it in Bloodchill Manor; not having a bust for Mirrak's mask is forgiven because that's what mannequins are for.
My favorite house is Bloodchill Manor. I am just in love with that house. Now the reason Bloodchill Manor is my favorite home, it is hidden, not out in the open and not only that no one knows about the home instead of that one dawnguard who was drunk so probably not really going to remember or bother the character at all. The other's homes no, just no. First off there is a civil war going on, so I'd rather not be near that at all. Or even close to it. That is indeed a death sentence to me in the cities. Not another home, the one near a mage Toward and the forsawn, hell no. You never know they might decide to attack, not only that there literally is a bear right down from the tree. The one near Moral, sure is great and everything for a mage but not really. A vampire was easily able to trick everyone. Even after dealing with the threatened me not to think being near that place is smart. Seeing how easily vampires were able to live close there, probably feeding on people while they sleep. The pirate ship house, is good but it would have been better if you could actually go sailing the sea and actually get crew members which you can't so it is a no go to me. Now for the necromancer house, I do like it but the only problem is, no. The house had the owner's soul there, if my character dies nope I don't want their soul being trapped in there and not only that it is kinda creepy with the dead bodies, (I am a black woman and black people don't do that.) So I will complete the quest but never live there. Now for the Dwarves house even after fixing it and everything. We all know bandits love attacking that place and getting rid of the machines and some bandits might still be able to do it. It is a nice house with lots of rooms and space but no, it is not for me because there is too much space for anything or anyone to hide. So the house that is the winner for me is Bloodchill Manor because really no one would probably dare come to it, but then again there is a bandits camp right down it if anyone is a vampire and needs to feed real quickly and they don't come near the house either so therefore that house is a winner to me. But that is just my opinion and why I won't go to other houses. I am not saying Skyrim players shouldn't. I say, what ever works for Skyrim players do it. But personally I won't never live or storage anything in all those houses instead of Bloodchill Manor. But that's just my opinion I kinda wonder what new house gets used the most though.
it's just breaks my immersion when the courier greets me right outside the cave. Like he had to climb up the mountain just to deliver me a letter from Calcelmo, asking for a single dwarven arrow. Now that's what I call a great delivery service lol

Tbh I hope the Dwarven home gets fixed so you can Have your Spouse and Kids in there. And them Dwarven Drones And bandits are removed for good.

I don't understand why people complain about homes costing money. Especially if you're a thief or assassin try some alchemy sell those potions Within 1 hour you'll have 250,000 septims. Stop complaining money, it is not a problem in Skyrim it's literally the easiest way you can solve a problem.
Making the Pirate Ship the worst home is an epic fail imho. I wasn't actually sure which one I liked the most until you showed the last. Mages Tower, awesome
At least however your game family can be at the Pirate Ship. I can’t seem to have em at my Dwarven home.
As a disgusting Skyrim/Fallout 4 survival mode goblin, I sometimes I am locked out of content due to bugs, so getting all these new buildings to use after getting permanently locked out of my houses/areas makes me happy
Edit: I love how he just didn't care about getting the staff if worms. A free dead thrall at level 1 will change these silly challenge runs forever

It would be nice if the houses (larger ones preferably) came with some interactive characters instead of just me myself and I. :)
All houses and decorations are free if you can quickly place the Gold in a draw or cupboard ect...As long as you put all of your Gold in one of those stashes I've mentioned before he finishes his speech after you accept. Rinse and repeat for your decorations. It's an idea to make sure your stood next to a d facing one of those stashes. Just quick save before you start incase you miss time it and that can be easily done if you have never tried it before. ;-)
Shadowfoot Sanctum is actually perfect if you want to roleplay as a nordic fantasy ninja turtle.
