Thank you for all your awesome videos! I just got a 2011 CC Precident and plan on doing this. When hooking up the main power and ground for the relay, you went straight off your batteries? Wouldn't it have to go through the voltage reducer? I also got the 8 gang switch per your recommendation, so I have the same setup. Sorry for the noob question, I've never really wired carts before and don't want to jack anything up. I also have a lightbar I was planning on running right to the 8 gang, but may purchase a new harness being its the safest with the relay.
@Fentertainment Thank you for the quick response! Okay, great; this is what I figured. I also did get that blue 48 to 12v reducer you liked and recommended. That will be going to the 8 gang pannel. Just wanted to make sure that 8 gang could handle the load going straight to accessories without a relay after you mentioned the relay was the safest bet. I've watched so many of your videos, and you're truly inspiring. I'll send you before and after pics of the cart once all are done. Installing a 6" lift and 23s tomorrow morning. 💪
I have a electronic siren megaphone, so would it be a simple setup to a golf cart batteries? Do I connect it to just one battery or do I put the neg on one side and the positive on the other side battery?
@Fentertainment the horn is a 12v I forgot to mention and I have 4 batteries in the golf cart but can't remember what kind but anyway so would I just hook it up to one battery then right? How bad would it be if I just put the horns two wires on one of the batteries?
@@kratos7893 Technically you can. However whats going to happen is that battery is taking on more of a load than the rest and the batteries will need to be replaced sooner. Thats why we always use a 48 to 12v converter. The the the accessories are coming off the entire pack.
@Fentertainment awesome sauce thanks for the info, I found this on Amazon "DC 24V to DC 12V 10A 120W Step Down Buck Converter Voltage Regulator Reducer Power Converter Mini Module Transformer" for the battery to that, what gauge wire should I use? Will 18 gauge do?
I have everything wired up through the relay into my 12v fuse panel using the 30a fuse provided (cut the fuse off the provided power wire which was too short anyway and used it in the fuse panel). Extended ground from compressor to fuse panel. Bought a momentary horn button and installed the blue/white wires into the button. NO HORN! Not sure what else to check relay may be bad I guess
Excellent video, detailed and to the point!

Your 8 gang switch panel will need 12v input either 12v dedicated battery or voltage reducer. Then all your accessories will run to that.

Need 12v. Get a dc converter and hook it to that.
