Just remember distributed forces. Such a method basically vtol is going to be optimized for distribution. Meaning you need to be in the cone of its effective wake to be affected.

wasn't it four Banished Dreadnoughts that took out the Infinity in a surprise attack when its shields were down? Even if it took "4 minutes" to take out Infinity it required an ambush assault by 4 dreadnoughts to capitalize on the Infinity's more vulnerable state. Infinity was humanity's greatest and finest ship to date, but it's war and the Covenant have lost even bigger ships like the 'Long Night of Silence' during the Fall of Reach battle. That super carrier was 29 km long, the UNSC had nothing in its fleet or numbers to counter it and required a nuclear bomb to go off inside of it to be destroyed. It requires significant things and circumstances to take down monsters of capital ships like the Infinity and 'Long Night of Solace' and they at least go down spectacularly.
How many hours and narration rough drafts does a heady info dump like this require? Probably something absolutely ridiculous. I have been waiting for this comprehensive and “complete” Infinity breakdown. Albeit, your voice has a borderline monotone property to it, I really enjoy your meticulous gleaning of all the tiny intricacies of the plethora of Halo-verse space vessels coupled with how you expound these details. Keep up the hard work.

So you don't confuse them with the SCT-4827 "Pulled this s__t outta my A__hole" class 9 lifeboats.. and people think star treks technobable is bad?!🤣 In the Halo universe this letters and numbers crap is so redundant that it's pretentious.
CORRECTION: Humans have indeed forged metal alloys under accelerations higher than 1 standard gravity. Spin-forging can exert an arbitrary amount of acceleration onto an item being forged -- tens, hundreds, even thousands of standard gravities. That said, the effect is not noticeably different from simple pressure-forging. What we HAVEN'T been able to do yet is forge metal alloys under accelerations LESS than 1 standard gravity. We can't add to the acceleration of Earth's gravity, but we can't cancel it out.
To answer your question, there are anti gravity generators inside of the ship to bring an artificial earth-like gravity of 1G’s. Now I can’t explain the minute details of how they work but I think that’s what they use.
Hey so could the reason we see light lines following mac rounds be because they are continually accelerated by lasers/ proton rays? Kinda like smacking a solar sail on the back of the Mac round?

FANTASTIC JOB BRO! I was working while listening to this, and I was really into it.
Almost two hour breakdown for Infinity. A surprise to be sure, but a welcomed one.
Hell yeah man, epic, thanks for the great, super cut. Awesome watch as I do stuff around the house.
exactly! Thats what I do too!
I'm waiting for the UNC to surpass The CSO-Class Supercarrier
In most ways the UNSC Infinity does while only half the size it maximizes its utility. One of the things from a Navy standpoint is that this is one of the few large scale ships that actually makes sense for its size. It's capabilites and mission justify
Sounds like I'm getting a briefing from a Smart A.I........I love it!
Did well on the description of materials science and engineering here, couldn’t have said it better myself with my MEng and EngD in materials engineering of aerospace applications 👏🏻
I've learned more about science from this channel then school
What is the deal with the face at 1:10:16?
I love your videos, keep up the incredible work, much respect to you for the lengths you go for these videos. 343 would really benefit if they hired you.
This is where the fun begins
Fun fact the Infinity is about the size and Tonnage of Bretai's command ship from SDF Macross.
the infinity is the coolest thing to come out of 343 halo up to this moment.
Dude how are you this smart in all this knowledge? are you a freaking scientist or something IRL who does these videos in his spare time? Honestly I couldn't even understand half of that technobabble and I've got a pretty good grasp of a lot of knowledgeable stuff.
Who would win? Humanity’s greatest ship to date or a couple rammy bois?
wasn't it four Banished Dreadnoughts that took out the Infinity in a surprise attack when its shields were down?
A giant battering ram with engines driven by space monkeys.
Crazy how one guy knows halo lore better than the company that makes halo.
Anyone who's seen halo infinites opening cutscene knows what I'm talking about^
@@calebfletcher7528 I don’t understand
To quote Johnson “it’s tough but it ain’t invincible.”
This guy might become the “next” dr. Halsey
There was so much potential with the infinity. To just destroy it off screen is crazy.
Jesus, a 2 hour video lol
Done went and made a feature length film about the Infinity
I laughed when you said " by forerunner standards she only classifies as a destroyer" lol
I am also wondering how the lower decks did not get crushed when it crashed on the shieldworld.
It didn't truly crash. It did it's best for a smooth landing...
1:10:16 has a...ugh...unsettling image.
Man kind at that time was enjoying the abundance of resources thanks to the discovery and mastery of ion pulse energy that goes beyond nuclear energy and cleaner.
Love it. I feel like im getting my daily fix of material science again!
Two hours!? Lemme put the kettle on. This will be a ride. 😍
Seriously a dope ass narrative intro!
Could a type of centrifugal forging be used to increase density of a material.
an amazingly in depth review of this beast & thank you for it but it does has me wondering about what the next version of unsc ships will be upon the unsc full investigation of the ancient human ship?
I haven’t watched the first one yet, what’s the difference with the super cut?
Supercut is basically extended version
RCS: travelling through space and mind her business
Infinity: boop...BOOM
Breakdown on the Infinitys Breakdown?
The details you talk about are incredible u should do the covenant CSO supper carrier
Supercut video feels a lot like an engineering class lecture I don't mind pay attention to for 2 hours
1:10:16 why?
there is it!
So you don't confuse them with the SCT-4827 "Pulled this s__t outta my A__hole" class 9 lifeboats..
and people think star treks technobable is bad?!🤣 In the Halo universe this letters and numbers crap is so redundant that it's pretentious.
Yo is this Kenshi music you got in the background? Nice
In the video time line 4:05 the pictures when they build the ship do it build on earth or space cause i’m confuse what a great picture
43:36 given that the Mag Lav at Tallahassee produces 45 -90 Tesla and a 120 Tesla magnetic field
Thank you for making this!
All of this history, all of it, just for it to be fucking dunked on in Infinite lmao
Would cold welding apply to titanium alloys? Could help avoid granularity in joined sections of armor.
This was awesome. You should be writing for 343 buddy
My real question is how did the ship manage to get gravity inside without being a big spinning wheel?
To answer your question, there are anti gravity generators inside of the ship to bring an artificial earth-like gravity of 1G’s. Now I can’t explain the minute details of how they work but I think that’s what they use.
Damn man, been away from this channel for a bit. Shit looks really good, even your voice has changed since then
Hey so could the reason we see light lines following mac rounds be because they are continually accelerated by lasers/ proton rays? Kinda like smacking a solar sail on the back of the Mac round?
You deserve far more subscribers
Hey bro nothing but love but your Broadsword and Pelican images are swapped 😅 (around the 1:11:00mark)
Ive always really wanted like a forerunner sage style pov chapter of what the Didact was thinking as he scanned infinities systems and learned about the modern era
The infinity registers as a mere destroyer to the forerunners
Don't know if it's possible to have this information in written form as might make it easier to refer back to for people to use in the future. Just an idea for the future?
I've been looking forward to this
And I’m supposed to believe it died in under five minutes to 4 ships.
