The Covenant Assault Carrier is very underrated and downplayed alot in versus discussions. Some people even say Earth nukes today could destroy one in atmosphere which is hilariously downplaying it unfairly, they often forget the nukes the UNSC use in the future are alot more advance and made to be more powerful in space then nukes are today and often they are shot down by Covenant intercepting fire. In truth the Assault Carrier would be a beast in real life to the point even multiple dozens of Tsar Bomba tier blasts would be snuffed on it like smashing a stick of TNT against a thick reinforced concrete wall. It may not be as durable as say a Imperium Battleship or some Star Wars EU ships but it's more durable and has raw power more then most give credit or consideration for. Don't downplay the capabilities of the Covenant Assault Carrier's strength and durability in versus discussions because that's very low and not being truthful.
With the exception of the NOVA bomb most UNSC nukes aren’t that high yield and are capable of damaging or destroying covenant ships fairly effectively. The pulse laser turrets would most likely intercept any modern delivery system though.
@@alexalbrecht5768 Yeah those missles are moving at sublight speeds in space while missiles today are only high super sonic to low hypersonic speeds. Comparing modern nuclesr missiles to UNSC space missile nukes would be like comparing a good processing home computer to a super computer.

I absolutely adore the CAS carriers. Can't wait for more covenant ships and weapons. On that note (unless I missed it), I would love to see a video on the effects of glassing. The Covenant use it so regularly that it can hardly be classified as something like a nuclear deterrent and MAD. Still a WMD but they use it so much and we have seen various effect from it. Such as the burning of New Alexandria on Reach were the burning destruction is more spread out visibly but then we get digging effects like Harvest and Kholo where its more centralized on the beam.
Both the design of human and covies ships are next level when it comes to sci-fi. Both easily identifiable extremely unique and just cool AF. I personally like the human ships a little better the frigates in particular are something I can't take my eyes off of

The CAS Assault Carriers gives off the same terror as those Alien ships from the first Independence Day movie did. Colossal, imposing, and nigh unstoppable.
Wonder if we could get one regarding the Punic class Supercarrier since it was Humanity's biggest wartime warship and a ship so powerful even the Covenant feared. A ship that in UNSC service it's size was only surpassed by the Infinity when it came onto the scene. Lore on it is unfortunately rare but there is a fair amount out there depending on which sources you would consider reliable.
If a UNSC Slipspace reactor like the Spirit of Fire's is powerful enough to cause a star to explode destroying a Forerunner shield world in the process, imagine what the full capabilities of a Covenant Slipspace reactor from a Covenant Assault Carrier can do in energy output. A Frigate's slipspace reactor vaporised half a Super Covenant Carrier's main body that was in it's radius.
It didn't vaporise it. As Kat explained, in the intro to the mission, the slip space drive on the civilian ship worked fine, but only teleported half of the ship because it was mounted wrong. That's the same of what happened to the supercarrier. The middle section was teleported, breaking the ship apart. The slip space drive worked as intended
@@thorshammer7883 no, the star inside the shield world did explode. The slip space drive caused the reaction to take place, but it was only really a catalyst to the explosion, with the star doing most of the work.
