Any tier old enough to remember trying to find some size 16, much less smaller, dry fly hackle on one of those old low grade rooster necks from India knows Doc Whiting's contribution to modern fly fishing is immense and deeply appreciated.

LOL. I wanted to know where Coq De Leon feathers came from, on the bird. At 8:26 he says "Dr. Whiting" My eyes bugged out, not realizing who I have Been listening to all this time. Holy Crap! I am new to fly tying and almost everything I get I get from Whiting's. Thank you! for all you do and have done. Really cool video and absolutely beautiful birds. Looking forward to buying more stuff to keep the farm growing!

This is awesome. Super cool to hear him tell his story. What a legend. The birds squaking the whole time is just too funny lol. Love it. Hope to visit your shop one day. I would get lost in it and go broke! But I would be a happy man. Cheers. 🎉

I've been raising chickens for years for both eggs and meat. I'm gonna have to start looking at getting some good hackle birds as well so we can use the entire bird

Does the meat serve for food, or does the rest of the bird become waste? I enjoy using these great birds feathers for fly tying. I have a lot of respect for you genius in breeding special genetic hackles.
