The earrings with the “hoopy skirt” are India jewelry and are called jhumka earrings. This type of jewelry is typically used in India weddings. You had a lot of that type of jewelry.

You should make yourself a board with sm nails staggered all over it to hang your necklaces on as you untangle them. It would make it easier for you and us to see them hang. And maybe a dowl tree for bracelets as you get them out.
Hi, Cheri. The pearl earrings at 22:16 are supposed to be rolls of toilet paper. I've seen them before. A leftover bit from COVID. The ring at 53:55 looks like silver and appears to have a sodalite stone. The earring stone at 1:11:54 could be fluorite, spinel, amethyst or even purple garnet. The "cut" of the amethyst and blue topaz stones at 1:55:26 is called a briolette. The little rings to which the spring rings fasten are called "jump" rings.
Hi Anna, Aren't those diamond earrings stunning?! I need to list those on eBay asap. AS for the earring stone you mention on 11:11:54, I took a look and its the bell shaped Indian jewelry. It tested as glass. Otherwise, if it did test on Presidium, spinel is much higher up than Garnet (which tests in the amethyst range) so I'm not sure of there could be such a wide range on what the stone is. I'd never order grab bag again. Craft, no. I'd stay away from "fashion" too. I really don't know if they are called anything in particular. I just type in "jewelry" then I look at the pics very carefully. If I can't see enough good items to get excited about, I move on. Have you had good boxes from them?

The pink pendant is a rose l think in resin in a silver chain. I had a pair of earrings with the same rose, slip on’s that I bought in the south of France in 1975😊

I haven't finished watching yet 🙂 something to look forward to. I watch for a bit here and there throughout my day when I have a little down time. In between work orders, shuttling kids around, and household stuff cooking cleaning etc it is so calming to sit and listen to a soothing voice describing such pretty things. Some jewelry pieces are such works of art even if they don't have a high monetary value.

Part of the fun, but also part of the challenge for the content creator. I have an idea for a much better system 👍🏼😁 which will have a better flow and the vids will be shorter. I’ve seen many UA-camr’s go through this the same process; trying to figure out a balance with the pieces you need more research on while continuing to offer pieces to them as well. Thanks again. @1:09:55 The big green stone chip pendant is testing in the nephrite area. It could be nephrite chips. The pendant design did not turn up as anything in particular. Not a money sign. I think it’s supposed to look Asian inspired.

@1:42:10 The silver tone Monet chain necklace has a patented (in 1976) clasp that was the predecessor to the modern lobster claw clasp. They had also patented another similar clasp in 1959. The modern lobster claw clasp was not patented until 1992, so anything with a modern lobster claw clasp is not vintage. You would have to do some more research to determine the exact age of your Monet as they used that clasp design for many years.

You should test the stones & metal in the Indian earrings with the pink & green stones. I have a pair that are 22kt gold with Emerald & rubies.

I haven't finished watching yet 🙂 something to look forward to. I watch for a bit here and there throughout my day when I have a little down time. In between work orders, shuttling kids around, and household stuff cooking cleaning etc it is so calming to sit and listen to a soothing voice describing such pretty things. Some jewelry pieces are such works of art even if they don't have a high monetary value.

I just use regular wipes, usually generic brand because they cost less. The best ones I found were at on of those Dollar type stores and it was alcohol wipes. Would love to find those again.

Test 35:05 bell earring for ruby. Some Indian jewelry is a bright gold color because of the purity. They use 18K & 24K gold in their fine jewelry.

@1:42:10 The silver tone Monet chain necklace has a patented (in 1976) clasp that was the predecessor to the modern lobster claw clasp. They had also patented another similar clasp in 1959. The modern lobster claw clasp was not patented until 1992, so anything with a modern lobster claw clasp is not vintage. You would have to do some more research to determine the exact age of your Monet as they used that clasp design for many years.

I use the magnet first. Then the loupe to look at it closely and look for variations or not. If I have to, I use the gold acid testing solutions.
