You are right about the cameras. The iPhone really has outdated cameras and cannot reach the Samsung cameras. Thats been always that way. And it will stay that way. Only the software on an iPhone is slim that makes it fast without good hardware. But youre right, there is no better hardware than in a Samsung phone. Better Cameras, better bigger Software.

I've seen many people complaining about inconvenience because they can't use fingerprint or face/iris scanner when the phone is lying on a table -- so this is a great little hidden gem.

Thanks for mentioning how the blind could use that cool feature for unlocking the screen... Not enough on UA-cam talk about it! :(
I have no idea how many would watch the type of video I'm about to describe, would you be willing to do a demo of the "Voice Assistant" screen reader that Samsung has for us blind/visually impaired folks if you haven't already? The Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab E, and the Galaxy A8, were the first devices it appeared on in Samsung's phone/tablet line up.
Going through the tutorial would be nice as an addition to your findings/view of the product, though it's not required to show on camera of course. :)
NB. Voice Assistant is the newer name for Voice Assistant, formally called "Galaxy TalkBack,") similar to Google's own screen reader simply called "TalkBack":

Also, before I forget, Galaxy S8/Note 8 and later, you hold down "Volume+Power" to start and stop the screen reader, while on older devices (except for of the "J-Line," it's the "triple-click-home" command.
Below, is a list of all Voice Assistant Gestures, followed by the original Android Central article where the below list comes from.
Swipe with two fingers on the Lock screen to unlock, or bring up the pattern grid.
Single tap anywhere on the screen and the Galaxy S7 will speak aloud the item that you're tapping on and highlight it with a blue cursor box.
Triple tap with two fingers to have voice assistant read out the information displayed in the status bar.
Swipe left or right with one finger to move the cursor to the next item or icon.
Double tap on an item to select it.
Use two fingers to scroll through a page or menu. With Voice Assistant off you typically use only one finger to scroll, but with Voice Assistant turned on, you'll need to use two so your phone doesn't misread a tap as a scroll. This works for vertical scrolling on a menu or website, or horizontally to switch between Home screen pages.
Swipe three fingers up or down to change the Voice Assistant
Swipe three fingers left or right to toggle through Voice Assistant options on any screen. Swipe up or down with one finger to activate/adjust the settings:
Media volume: increase or decrease volume.
Speech rate: increase or decrease speech rate
Punctuation: include or omit punctuation in voice feedback
Dark screen: enable or disable screen display
Large cursor: enable or disable a thick border around the focus box
Notification bar: open or close notification bar
Swipe down with two fingers from the top to pull down the notification shade. NOTE: you must have Notification turned on (see above)
Tap and hold when typing with the keyboard to have Voice Assistant use the phonetic alphabet.
Tap with two fingers to temporarily pause the Voice Assistant during playback.
Double tap with two fingers to start or stop music or a video, or to answer a phone call.
Editing text
When using the keyboard with Voice Assistant on, menu are completed with gestures.
Double tap and hold with two fingers to enable or disable selection mode.
Swipe upwards or downwards with one finger while in selection mode to select characters.
Swipe left with two fingers to cut the selected text.
Swipe right with two fingers to paste characters.
Swipe downwards with two fingers to select all text
Swipe upwards with two fingers to copy selected text.
Swipe upwards then downwards or downwards then upwards with one finger to move the input cursor to the first or last position.

A word of advice. I had direction lock on in my Note 8 and today after software update the phone stopped working. I remember the direction code but it wont open the phone anymore. I cannot go inside my phone and it is frustrating. It still can receive calls but it won't open the phone. I would not recommend having the 'direction lock' on the device.

iris on the n7 was awesome.. worked I! a dark room it was just a bit of a clumsy & the whole implementation seemed a little rushed with the whole 2or3 step unlock with power. hold at right distance & then your in, the front fp scanner was much easier but now w85h that option gone I do wonder if the y had simplified it to look at just 1 iris as I've yet to get my n8 delivered yet or spent any time playing with my m8s s8+, guess I'll just have to wait &fi

FaceUnlock swipe pattern, Is it Contra on NES for GodMode remaining left, right, A,B,A unlimited health and ammo. Donkey Kong Country for SuperNES was pretty clever use of the use of the added buttons of the SNES Controller letting B.A.R.R.E.L. cheat on title screen.

I've been hoping for some details on the Note8, durability without a case? And most recommended cases that provide full protection- including a screen protector that doesn't impact spen performance, can guard against a screen impact center screen (not the beveled edges that help deflect screen impact.)
I've had a couple occasions where the phone lands directly mid screen on a rock, or something in my pocket causes screen damage. I participate in competitive shooting sports, and am a member of a volunteer fire dept, and search and rescue and have run into screen damaging situations.
I bought the folio case when I got my Note8 but it makes many features of the Note8 impossible w/ one hand. It blocks the screen camera if flipped back to view the screen, and just tends to get in the way a lot.
So a Note8 solution that provides proper screen protection, slim device protection for the rest of the device, and doesn't block any port or button access? When I got my S7 Edge, on release I bought a case that wasn't too bad, but the port to plug in my headphones was too small to plug in my DJ headphones. This sucked because I would be using mobile DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) mobile programs to mark cue points in songs, run a planned set to double check the flow, or when I needed to hear the finer details when making mixes or remixes. So headphone port access, s-pen access, along with 360 degree protection and hopefully not impacting wireless charging, NFC, or use with a charging/stereo system? I've gone through a lot of reviews but the quality isn't as well informed as your videos. Hard to trust the opinion of someone who says "Um" every other word.
Would be nice if manufacturers backed their devices warranty for any damage like cracked screens or back covers. If it is a noted feature of the device, improved durability, then backing that statement up should be a understandable request.

I've done this before but if you restart your phone you have to do the direction one if its selected so if you forget your screwed
This is awesome, now some dev pls come up with a mod, which would switch the unlock method based on your environment, like in office where my phone is placed on a table and it's impossible to lift phone everytime,!
LG phones have something similar called Knock Code. Unlock by tapping patterns

I did this to my s7 edge. Then after a while when i tried to unlock it, it failed. The problem was that when i swiped one time, sometimes it thought i swiped twice or even a third time. Only a restart helped.

Cool trick, but I'm good with "none" which requires a long press on the home button. Haven't run into any power button unlock issues causing pocket dials. Only downside is, by using "none" the little notification icons disappear from the always on display.
Even though people say the fingerprint reader is inconvenient, after the first day I hit it with no problem. And I have small hands.
That beats this method even if the user is blind. It takes doing just 1 thing instead of having to activate the screen by touching the home button or pressing the power button then unlocking it with the direction unlock. So much easier to just put my finger on the fingerprint reader

This can also be done on other Galaxy Phones that are Nougat Version. You can access it through Accessibility.

I generally just Swype, but you MUST have security for any of the pay features. Frankly, no one accepted Android Pay on my last phone, so I got rid of it. But Samsung Pay works anywhere. I would like it to be easy if I do it.

Hey Jimmy, it looks like this thing sucks. Apparently The Strokes that I made didn't agree with what the phone recorded So now I can't get in with this method and it overrides all the other Biometrics. I cannot get back into my phone now. It wants to see The Strokes that it thinks I recorded and apparently it's not the same as what I thought I recorded and I can't get into the phone. Face unlock and fingerprint unlock are now overridden and I can't get into the damn phone. What's up?

OKAY! SOLUTION FOUND! GEES FINALLY! After searching and searching the web and not getting anywhere I was gonna factory reset my Note 8 and then go ahead and restore my backed up software. Then it occured to me moments ago to check Samsung's Lost prevention site "Find My Mobile" "findmymobile.samsung.com". I've played around with it at various times throughout the years just to make sure that it'd work if I needed it- and it certainly did this time. Simply highlight your device and then scroll down to the header unlock. You're then prompted to enter your Samsung account password- Wallah! Your device is unlocked and all security methods are wiped from your device necessitating you to enter a new whatever. Iris, fingerprint, etc. Anything security that you'd like to add again. Lmk how it goes for you and hoping you haven't wiped your device before reading this.

I currently have the s8 and I use the fingerprint scanner, the Iris scanner , and the direction lock and I can unlock my phone by using the fingerprint and the Iris scanner but I can't use the direction lock because I forgot it and I'm trying to take it out but I cant. This is pretty awesome tbh. I had a sequence unlock on my S5 while it still had KitKat thanks to some Xposed module, it used volume buttons though.

find out 8f I stick with fp. or go signature with the s pen & keep iris for web sign in on samsung browser which whips chrome anyway. My Galaxy Note 8 does not have the "direction lock" choice. It only has swipe, pattern, pin, password and none (and the 3 biometric choices)
tried. decided didn't like it. so how do i turn it off?. tried just sliding to off. but it still requires the directionsl pattern. HELP

G Purpose there's an option called "clear credentials" under security. Click it and clear it. All your security options will reset. You may prefer the security option you want after that.😊😊
