@@Emyay01 my note 8 stopped at Android pie, but the 8 and the 9 are very close. The 9 has Bluetooth in the pen which is awesome also a bigger battery. I can't remember if the 9 removed the headphone jack or not tho

Randal I am a HEAVY user... I use all my phones to the fullest unlike most reviewers. I've had this phone since Tuesday and it last me from 8am to about 1 or 2pm and then I have to recharge.... the quick charge makes it less of a chore. But if I was a light to moderate user is expect it to last all day
Randal I expect this battery to deteriorate over time tho.

For the s pen translate app, you can click on the icon on the left and it will allow you to highlight/translate full sentences or phrases.

Just wanted to say that I really appreciated your video. I'm new to the Samsung family and having someone walk me through the settings and menus is nice. One neat trick that I did, that you didn't discuss is the ability to move the "back arrow" to the left side of the home buttons. It points to the left, so to me this seems more natural. Display > Navigation bar > button layout.

When the screen is locked and off, where the Always On Display is displayed and you pull the pen out to write on the screen, what you missed is that when you save you also have the option to PIN that note to your always on display to easily remind you every time you check your phone.

When you have multiple apps in window mode, just tap and hold the group icon. You can then dismiss all the apps at once by simply dragging the icon to the top of the screen (it should show "delete" or something).
The brightness slider on top one was exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you for your indepth video on the Note 8. It's been very very helpful...when I could keep up! It's obvious that you know your way around the phone, but for some (me anyway), it's a challenge following you. Not everyone is as skilled as you are in maneuvering around this device. Perhaps slow down a little or add some screenshots of what you're moving onto etc. I also got a bit of a kink in my neck from having to tilt my head in order to view the phone because of the angle you're holding it at. But overall this is one of the best ones I've seen so far. I do like that you have a nice presentation vocally while explaining everything. Thank you so much.

I'm still rocking my Note 8 after 15 months & this thi g is where it's at. The battery life could be better but that's th he only thing that is not a 10.

tyler waddington same here, just put it up to my ear and no sound is coming out of hole on the top right of phone. Only sound comes from the bottom right of my note 8

search on Google for pixelnavbarwpress and click on the fist result. after installing the apk and restarting your device you should have the pixel navbar. works on my s8 just fine

Got my note 8 and managed to switch off bixby and using Google. But because I have a password and iris for security. How do I set Google to work without unlocking my phone.

really it depends on u. if ur not big on customization features then I'll say no. and if your not gonna use the s pen I'll say no again. or if u are big on custom. and no use for the s pen then get the s 8 plus.
If you want to get the most of out of your money get the note 8 is pretty much the same price and it is a fully loaded machine unlike iPhone your paying for the little apple logo on the back of your phone

Switched from a regular iPhone 6 (used that for about 4 years now) and have never used an android phone before.😂 your videos have been helping me big time with this confusing ass phone
I got a note 8 and love it, it's more meant to be a regular phone, I use the s pen all the time, but then again I use it for art and tattoo designs. It's the best phone of its kind using a stylist. I've had notes, and regular Samsung galaxy phones, I love em both.
Does the always on feature affect the battery life badly?

When you hear some1 saying s8/s9 plus is a note 8/9 without a pen ...just know that person never used a note variant ....I don't know if that's only me but these note are very different from the s series

I was a little dissapointed in the brightness of the note 8 when I first got it, it was looking dimmer and yellowish compared to my LG V20. And it wasn't as bright as the Note 7. Now I finally can see why they rated the Note 8 the brightest screen ever. There is a way to increase an additional 10% brighter. First make sure your brightest slider is all the way to the right, uncheck auto brightness, turn off blue filter. Now go to settings, device maintenance, performance mode, and choose High Performance. It will increase an additional 10% brighter passing the brightness slider. My screen is white as snow now. I love it!

Palm swipe to capture is awful. Just saying this from using an S5, it tends to move whatever's on your screen (if you're in gallery, on a webpage, etc)

Instead of hearing you pronounce it, you could've just hit the speaker icon next to the translated word, and the phone will pronounce it for you.

actually not, u in Spanish is /u/ in Jugar and Juan. OO in English is either [ʊ] (good) or [uː] (cool) - none of these exist in Spanish -. J is [χ] because next vowel is /u/. Besides, most people here will not understand the difference between /x/ and [χ], i.e. velar and uvular
