Being a navy veteran this song sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it.I was proud being in the navy!!
@Justice Ryan my grandpapa was in the Navy he was a medic officer but now he's retired Navy
became a MARINE 12/10 /1969 at the age of 19....i'm 73 now.....EVERY time I hear that song my eyes tear up, and the shivers go up my spine. nothing against any of the other branches of the service BUT... the words tell you exactly what we do AND what we have done for the last 248 years. SEMPER FI my brothers!!!!

You can tell who are Marines in the crowd and who’s not. I still stand when they play the Marines Hymn!

It brings back lots of memories of boot camp when we had to learn all four versions, and when I became a DI it was my pride to teach the recruits the Marine Corps Hymn, I am looking forward towards going to Parris Island in April for the Di, reunion and c how much Parris Island has changed
3 versions? Perhaps you mean 3 verses of the Marines' Hymn.
It changed a lot from when I was the at receiving greatting recuits

As always WELL DONE... Any time I try to relate a U.S. Marine Band to their ability to lift the feeling of pride and resolve, I think of the Bagpipes of the United kingdom.
