Matt, I am a 59 yr old man. Don't work on much any more. You gave me the confidence to try and fix my Champion. It is a slightly different model but I followed your video. It works again! Thank you very much for taking the time to make the video and have it available for use. Hope you keep up the good work of helping others. It is very much appreciated. Thanks

Why didn't you put the float bowl and jets into the ultrasonic cleaner, I usually fully dismantle the card then soak all the parts in carb cleaner over night and if necessary use some scothbrite in the bowl if any heavy corrosion is still present, then place everything in the ultrasonic cleaner for several hours remove and blow out with compressed air, reassemble and 99 percent of the time they perform like new, seems like you did more of a quickie clean, I'm sure if you put a little more time into it you would of had better results.

Hey Matt - Just watched the video, and you did a great job explaining the cleaning fix. This will also help if/when I simply replace instead of fix.. Thank you!

(Not my PIC.) I was able to remove and adjust carburetor, someone said to adjust all in and 6 whole turns out, fired up and worked like a Champ(ion)! Hi! Hi!. The adjustment of the little screw made all of the difference! Even a new carb that's not adjusted will surge. I put 3 new carbs before I figured that out. Oh! one more thing, be sure and use fresh fuel and put a small fuel filter as the fuel tank filter appears to break down from fuel with Ethanol, will disintegrate and plug jets. A good precaution if you ask me.

Just fyi, not trying to sharp shoot your video, it took a few other videos to make sure, predator engine video showed where the low idle jet was , checked mine on my Champion, and yep there it was, cleaned it too along with what you showed how to do..... drained the old gas and when the good gas got to it, it finally ran with the choke open and no more surging, the low idle jet has more to do with it running at 3600 rpm than you would think it should ..... hope it helps

My champion is identical to this one and it doesn't have low idle. Maybe that's why he didn't show it

Any reason you wouldn't throw the jets into the parts washer?

I am pretty mechanical but I do not know how to adjust the carburetor I have a champion 3100 in further it is a pain in the ass to start but once it gets started it runs fine I was thinking about cleaning the carburetor but not sure if you need to know how to adjust the carburetor to clean
