I think it’s interesting he says don’t be daunted by this project. He lists so many little parts with names I haven’t heard of. It already feels overwhelming. I think he mentioned some way of shutting off the fuel line and burning off any fuel in the carburetor, for future use. Looking to buy a cleaning kit or some type of sonic bath. Idk if I’ll ever get my generator running again 😊
I have a generator which sat for a few years on old gas. It now starts up with starting fluid only, but only for a few seconds. Is this likely a gummed carb? Or wouldn't it run at all even with the starting fluid if that were the case?
“Though it may seem daunting cleaning a carb is not that difficult…” yeah, unless you have a Honda eb10000 on which the engineers hide everything behind walls, wires, baffles, etc. which are screwed in with bolts that have a hardness one step above butter sitting out in the Florida sun for a day, and strip (not in a good way) when you try to loosen them! F$&@ I hate Honda!
Great video! Watched this and fixed my generator. After cleaning the carb, it started on first pull after 14 years of inactivity!
Great presentation, straight to the point, well produced and no annoying music! 👍
That stressed me out so much lol. Thank you for the step by step, there are a lot of parts! *save video*
Thanks for the help with my snow blower carb. Got it up and running and ready to work. The Hippa carb cleaning tool kit looks nice.
