Later I can blitz them into smoothies, or even stir them into my oatmeal, bake them into cookies, breads, and muffins. Keep watching to see how to freeze bananas and turn them into deliciousness later!

If you pre freeze the bananas on a tray before you put them in a bag they won’t discolour. Thanks for video. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

Here is a tip, don't toss that perfectly good zip lock. I only buy the heavy duty freezer bags and wash them and reuse them. Each bag gets used until it gets a hole in it, which happens to be a long time. I am glad you reused it in this video but you imply you toss them in other instances. Please help save the environment as well as your wallet.

Tip: The brown spots, even streaks, on a banana are good: They mean the fruit is ripe, that the carbohydrate has turned to sugar. This not only makes the fruit sweeter and more palatable, but a ripe banana is much easier for a baby to digest. A brown banana may be less attractive and mushy but it is still edible. Experiment for yourself as to how dark a fruit you'll feel comfortable eating.

Thanks for the tips: I cut mine in smaller pieces so my small blender can chop them easier. I use kid size snack bags & remove as much air as possible. I do this for bananas, apples, strawberries, dark sweet bing cherries & avocados so I can stack the packs relatively flat in the freezer. This way I take what I need & avoid reopening a larger bag. To avoid discoloration of the fruits I spritz them with lemon juice before freezing or lightly brush the fruit with diluted pure ascorbic acid (vitamin C) & water. Helps me enjoy year round fruit when it is sweeter & cheaper.

Same comment as some others: leave the bananas on a tray and put then in the freezer for about two hours. Since the bananas are not touching each other they will freeze totally separated. Then once they are hard, you can put them in freezer bags for long term. I usually try to use my frozen bananas within two months of freezing.

it's glad to know that you can freeze them easily. Are you juicing or using a powder protein shake? I just got a Ninja and started juicing and so far, it is fabulous!!! My first one was kale, spinach, banana, celery and in place of water I use raw mango juice and pineapple Juice...I could have drank that stuff all day long! I friend told me to be careful about over juicing, I am guessing she meant it could lead to diarrhea. This morning I made one with kale, spinach, watermelon, banana and did the same juices in place of water. then my friend stopped by and I made one for her with kale, spinach, red grapes, watermelon and again, the same juices in place of water. Oh and of course, some ice cubes in all. So, If your juicing, I would appreciate any ideas you might have or advice on any fruits/veges that might work better together etc. I have many other fruits and veges that I have bee prepping and freezing already.

If you put them in a seal a meal bag for 12 to 24 hours with air in...Then in 24 hrs remove them and take the air out the banana never changes color...Other wise I do them exactly the same way😁...I lay them flat to freeze so they come apart easier after being froze also it helps to get the air out😉Thx Shey

Best way is slice them, lay them glat on a tray, freeze for a couple hrs and yhen throwem into bag. They wont get discolored or stick to themselves and easy for blender to crush.

Package one banana in one disposable baggie - no cookie sheet required - they keep for many months, the brown is not a sign of deterioration but of oxygen coming into contact with the surface - a good thing.

Nice, I do this with all my fruits, visiting about bananas... I usually get some kind of mixed fruit tray from the store (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry), I then put that into 12-14 mini ziplock baggies (they look like an 8th of ganja) but instead (seeing I dont do that stuff), they are my satchels of fruit! I then store those into a gallon freeze protect ziplocks and then I store. I get about 2 weeks worth. So then each morning I pull an 8th out of the freezer and throw it in my "Ball Wide Mouth Jar 2 cups" of yogurt and its off to work with breakfast! And my job is done-zo-washington here!

You can seal them up around a straw. You suck the air out with a straw, then remove straw and seal rest of the way. Should eliminate the discoloring.

Hey, I squeeze some lemon juice in mine to stop them from turning brown. Don't use much or halves will freeze together. If I remember, after putting them in I'll take them out just to make sure they aren't frozen together. I don't take them out yhe bag, just hold them in your hand feeling that yhe all have a gap between them. Other than that, I live my Vitamix...
