I'm always wasting bananas. Thanks for showing me how to save them
How much time its good?
The thumbnail looks like you're snorting them
😄😄😄
That was actually a pretty clever tip. I use that method with a lot of my other frozen fruits that I buy from local farms. Definitely cheaper then buying a machine/pump.
Put the bananas peels in a pil cover with water, let sit for a couple hours, water your plants, lots of nutrients for the plants!! THEN composite the peelings!!
If done correctly, you'll have ripe bananas for 2 to 3 months and will stay good for use when stored in the freezer over the long term
You are a genius?
How long will the bananas keep in the freezer, months?
I read they last about 3-4 months. But as long as they aren’t squishy or oozing before you use them, they are fine!
Great way to cryovac. I've never though of doing that. Thanks. 👍
Good and helpful information. Thx from Australia
Are they black when you freeze them using this method
Yessssssssss
Suck the air out
No one ever says how long they keep on the freezer
Genius...
Do they taste the same once they’ve been frozen?
How can I keep my bananas from going bad so fast? I have small kids & I’ll buy a bundle of bananas & they are brown within 2/3days .... also they are green when I buy them I’m confused
they'll ripen slower in the cold, so ill throw mine in the fridge once they get freckly, Then If they get too ripe, ill peel them and put in the freezer for smoothies:)
wooow thanku so for the amazing idea for keeping bananas long in freezer. hope to hear more God bless.
Thank you.
Great video ! Suggestion for your organic banana peels : wash thoroughly, place washed peels in pot and gently boil for 15 minutes . Place in container and refrigerate . 30 minutes before bedtime drink warm or cold banana liquid as the nutrients in bananas help with sleep .
so shouldi keep them at the top or bottom of the refrigerator?also can i use tupperware insteadof zipper bags?
Ameer Qan I'm sorry I should have been more clear . After you bring the water to a boil , place the peels in the water , turn heat down and simmer for 20 minutes . Strain water into a pitcher and sweeten with organic stevia or your favorite sweetener. It's delicious and loaded with potassium which helps with sleep.
Gregory Wheless no no no I just wanna you answer my question
Ameer Qan use ziplock bags because as she shows you can suck ALL of the air out . Then you put them in the freezer not the refrigerator. Freezing them makes them sweeter . Hope this helps .
Ameer Qan one thing I left out I wrap each banana in clear film like saran.wrap once I get about 8 wrapped I put them in a gallon size storage bag , suck all the air out and freeze them . When you're ready for one you can take one out microwave it for 45 seconds and it's ready to use on oatmeal , toast or whatever . Hope this helps . Happy , healthy , eating ! Take care !
Is she a sports commentator?
But, they turn dark and gross looking. Are they still safe to use? Won't they make my smoothies taste slimy and gross??? 😬
The bananas should look exactly the way you froze them. If they’ve gone brown or soft it’s because they didn’t freeze well. Try putting them in the back of your fridge or on the bottom. They will always go mushy if they defrost, but honestly it won’t hurt you to eat them. Just use in smoothies or banana bread.
That is so smart you just saved my life thank you so much for this video
I use a straw to suck out the air.
How long do
I keep them in the fridge because last time they froze and didn’t look the same or taste the same
Hyper
AWESOME ♥️
you are awesome☆☆☆☆☆
thank you:)
so shouldi keep them at the top or bottom of the refrigerator?also can i use tupperware insteadof zipper bags?
I have 3 bags full of bananas forming a huge ball that I can't event separate :( help!
Can I freeze avocados the same way? Also how long will they last if I want to use one banana at a time? Thank you
are they for smoothies ? or will they be fresh when defrosted? ?
Great video! Super helpful, Thanks!
Thank you I like the tip of getting all the air out
I love you so much thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤️❤️❤️👍
I'm tired of brown bananas
I freeze bananas as well. Do you know how to freeze sweet potatoes? If you do would you do a video on it? Thanks
Let me know if you ever find out! Thank You!!
can you be more specific...how do you like to prepare them? Ive frozen sweet potatoes in a stew or soup but never on their own. I would freeze them cooked in the skins the same way as the bananas. I would freeze them individually in smaller zip lock bags with the air sucked out.
I steam the potatoes then smash them up. I was wondering if I could freeze them after being cooked up like this?
yes you can. It will freeze just fine. I pureed a bunch of pumpkin after thanksgiving and froze it for soups/stews:)
Thank You!
Bananas last forever just in the fridge. They do turn brown but that doesn’t affect the banana itself. Anything is better than leaving them out and letting them over ripen and have to throw them away. Great video by the way.
Oh my goodness! Thank you for a great and effective video! Also, thank you for keeping the answer under 2 minutes. Some guy took almost 13 1/2 minutes 😳 #forwhat
Fantastic Thank you!!
:)
I have a vacuum sealed just like you do. I use a straw most of the time
awesome!
so shouldi keep them at the top or bottom of the refrigerator?also can i use tupperware insteadof zipper bags?
Ameer Qan yea you can keep them in tubaware and you should keep them in the freezer actually! Anywhere you want in there. This girl is stacking up the bags of bananas, which is why the bag is best for her case. It saves a lot of space.
what is preserving them while they are freezing? Can you soak them in Fruit fresh first then freeze them? I actually dehydrate mine and make banana chips YaY
Would love to see a video about composting. Do you cut up large things, like the banana peels, before burying them? Do you compost right into the ground, or do you have a commercial compost container? How often do you add to your compost? Daily, or do you freeze scraps/peels/etc. until you have "enough"?
Ill make a video on this very soon:)
Literally the only way
I like to chop them first. But that’s just because I have a tiny one person blender.
I made the rice stir fry recipe that you posted. I added ginger, pepper, onions, garlic, but it was so good! It was even better after a day or 2 in the frig. So cheap and so good. I will be making it regularly. Thanks!
awesome!!! thanks so much for sharing. I love what you added to the dish...yum!
hmm..so basically freeze dry them kinda ? question...do u or anyone else out there know how to save a banana that might be a lil black or leaky? ive heard of the dryer method ...u put it in rice or something an then use a dryer to suck the moisture out or whatever. if anyone has any tips....that would really help TY :)
Those other videos out there are so long & involved! Thank you for such an easy 'get to the point' video! You're fabulous!
Nobody told me the banana turns into a dark, mushy mess immediately after defrosting. Freeze in small portions. Lesson learned.
So, I'm watching this is the year 2021, and I feel like a banana freezing idiot fir all theses years; it so simple, it's brilliant! I have a freeze dryer and I'm going to go try that now. Thank you. 💜
Will my dogs get sick if they get in the compost? Right now I just have mowed up leaves and grass in a pile, I'm afraid to add food to it. And I'm not trying to build something around the pile.
I am going to try this way because the previous one the bananas started to get black after about 1 month when the video said it will last between 3 to 6 months
Step 1 - Peel the banana
so shouldi keep them at the top or bottom of the refrigerator?also can i use tupperware insteadof zipper bags?
This is bananas!
Thank you for this great info.
I freezing banana right right now.
All the best for corona lock down guys.
Thanks!
If you freeze them on a cookie sheet for a few hours first, will they still stick together and turn brown?
Thank you so much!!Can I cut them in half?
I tried this and I agree! This IS the best way to store bananas and I will never do it any other way again. Thanks so much!
Do they separate easily while they are frozen
@@islamicuploads6557 Yes no problems!
Awesome!!!! Can’t wait to try this. 👍🏼
Thank you very a Great tips
Will they turn brown though?
well done...easy and simple...great !
They any good when you unfreeze one?
They turn icky very quickly after defrosting. Freeze small portions.
Nice video!
Brilliant
Great! Thank you!
They any good when you unfreeze one?
Will they not be all stuck together??
They probably will be, but they’re easy to pull apart in my experience.
Yooo I'm deaddd lmaooooo
I freeze anything I am not using that very moment. Im not raw, but I incorporate it in alot of our meals. But I freeze onion peels for stocks, peels from celery, carrots, apples etc for oil replacement etc, and I freeze my egg yokes for later. but my pulp when I juice, most apples and carrots I save for muffins later, or for slaws.
that's awesome! your very resourceful:)
I love that trick at the end! Saves space and keep them fresher.
ewwww, is it very hygienic to get the air out in this manner????
OMG!! Shes not preparing food for the public. It's for her, and her family! Try it. You'll like it! 🌈
Yea, it’s perfectly fine. A little less hygienic to blow into the bag, but still fine. Depends on how prude you are, I suppose.
