You are touching upon one of the core problems with Elite. Too much of the immersion is just text based, and not actually in the game world.
Given that there'd been an entire Galnet plot thread centered around Achilles bots just a year or two before it dropped, I was surprised and disappointed when they were nowhere to be found in Odyssey outside of adverts. In fact, I think it's my only criticism of Odyssey that's still valid today.

Wednesday booked for the live stream, Thursday for smacking Titan. Will be interesting if vacations impact the speed to make the Titan blow up even sooner..
My bad Mr. Buur. I parked my corvette full of explosives on their station. We had plans to use them to make the new classified anti-thargoid weapons but there was a small mishap with the cargo. Nothing to worry about.
Okay. The Achilles attack was the Thargoids, using their sleeper agents, obviously. There have been subtle warnings from the devs that the thargs aren't going to be so easy to deal with in the near future. Lemme put my tinfoil helmet on here...
The Thargoids are going to become one of the Powers in the new powerplay. They've got something up their sleeve to make their last (few) Titans unbreachable and they are going to use all of the hostages they took (And released) to be their "ground" forces, backed up by various Danger Daffodils when needed. I don't think this war is over by a longshot. I think it's going to move into an Espionage and Influence phase, and we might not even get to fight them directly any more, or at least, not on anything like our own terms.
Salvation agents trying to plug Salvation into the main control frame to for then him to have full control of Achilles robots.

Would be cool if the Achilles security androids make it in-game.
Laziest way to do it would be reskin a human and swap the voice lines for something more robotic.
Maybe even add them to space station interiors as police forces, always striked me as odd that none of them have any obvious peacekeeprs, in what is essentially a space-airport
There are guards on the concourse. The struggle is quite a few of them are also the people shouting about asking passers by if they want to murder people for money.
When CMDR Burr was discussing the lore sites in the first part, what were the images he was using and where were those biologicals located?
I don't know that location, but I can tell you they are Electricae, one of the rarer species. The codex will give you some places to start looking. 1Km colony range makes them quite a challenge to catalogue though.
Could this finally be the start of the Consortium storyline?

War coming to an end? You wish. Is thatg homeworld found? No. You think titans go down and thats it? Can hardly believe that. Thargs have their own "bubble" for sure, which means: more titans, space stations, surface settlements. There's a MASSIVE field to expand the lore and story.

Since theres absolutely nothing new for us normal explorers, i haven't touched the game in months ... sadly.
Intriguing inter-corporate shenanigans ahoy - should Achilles become a new power in powerplay 2.0? are the nasty nasturtiums sleeper zombies about to rise up and in one voice shout 'Arflarglelagle blip'? Only time and the French lore masters can say...
Of course Sirius attacked Achilles; Achilles not only broke Sirius' monopoly on Frameshift drives but made the Sirius drives all but obsolete. That was BOUND to piss Sirius off.
I love the flight and combat mechanics as well as some of the ship designs, but unfortunately Frontier won't put any real effort into improving the game... Looks like a dev spent a couple hours designing the Python MKII and they expect players to return to the game for it... Not happening... They would need to do something significant like base building and custom ship design to get me to come back...and we all know that they have no intention of making any major improvements to the game other than doing minimal BS to try and draw players back... 💥
Base building would be sweet. There is plenty of real estate out there that is pretty much useless in this game. Let the players build up all the non-Colonia and Bubble areas, bring some life to a very much dead and empty galaxy.
