I've recently watched a few other channels to learn more about Audacity but this channel is by far the best and most instructive. Subbed.

Another quick way to select all which I use, is to double click in the blank area of the sample window, in that area just below where it says "32bit float" and it will select all. I also highly recommend clicking PREVIEW before committing changes as with really large sample, the change can take a while and then if you don't like it, you just wasted a lot of time. Where as preview will give you a short sample of what it will sound like without any long delays.

You should have ncreased the sound first before adding effects. It can hardly be heard.

I learned that if you try to change the pitch of an audio too much, the pitch automatically gets lower, I don’t know if that’s just me but it is a nuisance for me.

Thank you very much for sharing this info, you literally saved my business life. I have a great voice-over made by AI but it was too fast ..... after watching your tutorial I made it perfect (I changed the TEMPO and it does not affect the pitch).
Thank you again and greetings from Italy !!!

What settings do you recommend to change the pitch of an out of tune piano close to standard tuning?

Amazing tutorial very helpful! It will save me so much time. As a language learner, I like to take an audio sentence, have it play at normal speed on a loop then -40 tempo in audacity a few times, then -30 tempo a few times and so on (so that I can play the audio at reduced speed) and practice pronunciation as part of an anki card. Is there any way to create such a file efficiently in Audacity? At the moment I'm manually copying and pasting each different speed section in Audacity. It would be amazing if Audacity could do this for me...for example one sentence normal speed, 3 sentences -30 tempo, 3 sentences -20 tempo.

I lowered the pitch of a soundtrack but now it has a low base sounding rumble. How can I clean it up?

Hi. Thanks for sharing. Just a remark: audio files' volume are too soft.

I have some old recordings digitalized from tape with pitch oscilations and It's possible to solve this with Sound Forge and its plugin "pitch bend", wich is a pitch shift in a graphic control... but I wanna find an alternative in a freeware.
Is there an Audacity plug in equivalent to Sound Forge's "pitch bend"?

why does changing both pitch and tempo separately cause cracking and popping sounds/tearing to the audio? changing them both via change speed function doesn't cause this.

Would pitch be used to chang the bass in a song from say 40 hz to 30 hz. If yes how could you know you're doing it correctly. Will it let you select the 40 hz in the song and change them to 30 hz ? Please help

Is there a way to change the pitch while also changing the tempo? I'd like to be able to slow something down to a specific BPM and also have it lower pitched.

You say in the video, "suppose we know what key this is in", so you making a rough guess . I am only just learning the rudiments of the pitch sound but thought that if you import a song and then go to the pitch, effects, already it will show what the existing pitch is in before making changes,Yet you say "suppose its in a certain key. Cant you demonstrate using the existing original pitch that first shows up in the song. The we can watch how you progress from that point. This would be far less confusing, for me at any rate. please correct me if Ive got this wrong.
