Suppose for a moment that this registration is a historical document and we want to restore it, eliminatig all the cllippings and distortions, What would you do? This could be a nice example for another video.
What about when you're recording and you want to split tracks into individual segments in the same session but end up getting a sort of static pop every time at the end of individual separated tracks if you're using a 48v mic like the Neumann TLM 103? Can someone please explain what this general distortion is? I cannot seem to get rid of it at all regardless of the software I use with the Neumann when splitting tracks.
Every single mp3 song I download off UA-cam is clipping like crazy when I put it into Audacity. So that's why I'm here. Problem: When I click Record it keeps starting to record at the end of the song. No idea why. Found the solution: Have to click the second / new track and go to the beginning from there before recording. New problem: It's not recording anything. Just producing a straight line instead of showing what I recorded in the second track.
great video. I'm trying to record on a second track but when I push record it always starts( jumps to) at the end of the first track..How do I get the front of the second track to record?
You never addressed how to fix clipping in existing audio recording...
effect-compressor
effect- Normlize
You can salvage a bit of the audio but for the most part. Best option is to record nicely .
SR TALKS that doesn’t help, sometimes we are placing added sounds or music and need to know how to fix the clip
@@anthonybianconi2185 what are you talking about? You highlight the piece of audio and effect-compressor/normalize
theses are great! I finally got a couple tracks down and was very surprised at the sound! Thanks so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge!
You didn't fix clipping issue
Very well explained the basics of audio clipping..

Maybe you could clearly show what to change before recording to prevent clipping (in terms of recording volume etc)
thank you, really saved me with this one 🙏
Great video. Helps a lot.
