Whenever I create my own audio, I always start it out by being completely quiet for a few seconds at the start, so that I have a nice section I can select for the noise reduction profile. Once I have it profiled and noise reduced, I will then delete the silent part.
I've watched all your lessons. They're great. I have a couple requests. 1. I'd like to see your method of removing plosives and SS's. 2. I'd like to see your workflow sequence for improving a voice recording before export (i.e., noise reduction, silence removal, fixing plosives and SSs, Adjusting frequency levels, Normalization, etc.).
One thing to remember is to not remove the background noise too hard. I have noticed that in my case the depth of the my voice is reduced significantly if hit the noise reduction too hard.
does it do that for that section of what i recorded or will it remember it for it all? i mean like say i want to remove noise for from a big chuck of audio but they are seprated into different piece would i have to do that for all of them or just get the profile of it for one place and i got a record of it for life?
Good question. Effects will apply to whatever portion of the audio is selected. If there are two audio files with different noise levels, its a good idea to apply the effect to each one separately, and grab a new noise level for each one.
Hey, I have a sound effect I really wanna learn how to do with audacity. It is pretty cool and I think you could make a video about it IF you want hahaha. If you’re interested, is there anywhere where I can send you the sound?

There are things you can buy or make that you place infront of the microphone.

Thank you for this tutorial. Have you made one for voice isolation?
Thank you for the video.
Hello, and after that how to apply to the video?

Magic that's what I really needed to know, I am going through practice. I wish to try my hand, or voice, at voice overs. Cheers
Thank you, helped me! :)
