Entry Level vs Full Luxury PWCs - What's Really the Difference Between these Yamaha Waverunners?

- We hit the lake with two Yamaha Waverunner Personal Watercraft (PWC) to find out the differences between a small, affordable rec lite machine and a big, heavy feature-packed luxury unit. The Yamaha JetBlaster offers thrills, while the FX Cruiser offers total rider comfort. Which would you choose?

If it's longer than 10 feet, it's a boat, get the blaster, if you want to have fun, if your a big boy, with family, get the 1800 , good luck
Thank you sir!
Idk I have a lot of fun on my gtx
@@jimmygee3219 same with me! I just sold my GTX, super fun, pulls tubes n stuff, but I wish it was more nimble and agile. Even my family’s WaveRunner flicks and dances much more easily than my GTX did.
Loved the GTX for the ride though! Amazing comfy
Dude learn how to use commas.
@@flonker5961 , sorry, can't see without my glasses, but you'll get over it
I have the 2019 EXR. Its a blast to ride. I am looking to get a VX or FX cruiser for the days I just want to cruise.
It’s not fast enough
i really wish Yamaha would put the supercharged 1.8 or new 1.9 in a hull like the jet blaster, like a modern GP1300R.
i want speed and for it to be light and be able to move it around, I dont want a 3 seater
they did... GP1800R. Rode one yesterday and its a rocket with
@@chrisdavis9428 that's a 3 seater, not a 2 seater
I had a smaller Sea Doo and now have a Yamaha fx/ho.. The Yamaha is heavy
but drills through the water and feels 10 times more stable than the Sea Doo.
if that's what you are looking for.
What’s the difference in the range
How much does this guy weigh?
To much. And so do I.
He says it in the video, 549lbs.
@@brrepublic8174 That's the PWC's weight, not the guys weight.
Less Yamaha, more SeaDoo!
Perfect timing for this comment. Watch the channel the next 2 weeks. Lots of Sea-Doo stuff coming.
🤮
For the JetBlaster, throw on the front storage bag, the front storage pod and the rear storage bag and you have way more storage. Minimal cost but it increases your storage capacity enormously. It makes it a much more versatile machine than it normally gets credit for.
Interesting! Thank you 🙏
The blaster looks great…. If I want comfort I would get a boat but isn’t the main idea of these to Zip around the lake for an hour and get wet?
The yamaha blaster looks fun. I have two modded sparks. You can not ride them without laughing your ass off. They are so much fun.
Modded how? Looking into buying a couple soon
I love my 19’ waverunner ex deluxe. I found it in 2020, Everyone had the 2020s out so the dealer had it on sale for $6500 otd usd to make room for the new models (only difference was the colors) Been riding it for 4 years with ZERO issues. Plenty of room for a dad and 2 kids. More than enough power for me on the river. Perfect for my budget as well. The front storage can be upgraded. Yamaha sells a big large bag that replaces the tiny plastic. Adds ALOT of space. If I need speakers, gps or any of the fancy things the expensive models have there’s plenty of aftermarket options to add it.
Its nice to have a fuel economy feature on a pwc that cost 10k more.🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙃🙃🙃🙃
Really helpful comparison for me, a soon-to-be first timer. Thanks a lot.
Which one is best? The middle. The VX.
24k for a watercraft is giant...😅😅😅😅
Great review as usual!
I have a 2017 ex sport and it’s a blast to have fun on and jump the waves
Get the Riva ride plate and the EXR intake grate. You’re welcome..
how would these differ in fuel economy lol
I think it's available anyways places liked Kuching Sarawak's , Miri SARAWAK'S , Bintulu Sarawak's and Sibu Sarawak's went I'm staying 5 year's day's sincerely 2015 , 2016 and 2017 my life's and my mind's was growing up to buying that's .
Thank You, very helpful
Would you buy a yamaha over a seadoo if you were to buy one today. Im have a really hard time deciding, your input is greatly appreciated....
Go sea doo
@@finderry7290 Thanks 🎸🎸🎸 @here24band
I'm going to give the yamaha a shot. I'm told/understand I don't have to do antifreeze in the winter. I know there are differing opinions on that one but this is big for me. I have numerous times throughout the cold season to get on the water but don't because I don't want to winterize again.
There’s a reason every rental company prefers Yamaha. Easily can get 2000 hours on the engine.
Yamahas are more fun, Sea Doos feel more safe. 100%
Isn't there in between?
good information!
Thanks!
Good video! From the Dutch!
The Yamaha ex is just Yamahas version of the seadoo spark
So, a reliable Sea-Doo spark?
@@gureno19 spot on!
Love the show ....👏👏👏 HAPPY FRIDAY,
HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYONE ✌️
I was on my buddies Yamaha anniversary edition in a Florida bay we had it getting up to a hundred miles an hour on flat water 💦
Wow!! What is the engine size and specs please??
Lay off the sauce…
LOLOLOLOL NOT EVEN POSSIBLE
The "water wheelie" doesn't look all that appealing. I raced a yamaha blaster back in the '90's in ijsba sport class. Also raced a 550 stand up in limited. These big boats have taken all the skill out of it.
Inexpensive? Nearly 16,000 and I'm sure that does not include taxes and other dealer fees. Plus you will need a trailer for it. It's insane how expensive recreational toys are. You can buy a brand new Chevy spark or mitsubishi Mirage For the same money or even cheaper. I don't know how they can justify these prices. Just think how much more material and workmanship has to go into building a car. Plus the tremendous cost of development and safety testing. And they can still offer it for the same price as a base watercraft. There's something not right here. All this has convinced me of is that I will never be able to afford a watercraft not even a base one.
Hey’ just ordered my first jet ski, the 23’ ex deluxe didnt have in my fav colour but got red white and black one with trailer for 17k cad. Yes very expensive but I financed it over 15 years and it’s affordable they are very reliable and in sure we will have it forever! However i see “better” deals on marketplace where you can find cheaper options for 90% of the fun
@@kaindubois4206 you took a 15 year loan out on a jet ski???? The bank must love you probably the craziest thing I’ve heard jet ski related in a while
@@kaindubois4206 15 years? Wow.
Yikes, definitely shouldn’t be proud of that
Just say you can’t afford a jetski and move on.
Don’t think you’d need music. Love the ladder idea though. What are the engine sizes please?
That ladder must be for Americans, the self retracting boarding step made alot more sense for quick boarding especially when in the surf and time matters
worst review ever. top speed? engine size? horsepower? 11 minutes wasted!
This is not a review 😂
