This recipe is really wonderful for the home cook. Simplicity at it's finest however, being a pro for several years, I'd like to give a tip. The spinach ratio to cream is a little off. There should be more spinach to cream. Everything else is perfect. Watch the sodium amounts and taste often. I've even removed most of the stems but that is a personal preference. Measurements might have been helpful to some. But, Spot-on!
OMG With all the comments on this video about hair I thought I was watching a video about a beauty shop. Not to be left out Blakely does have beautiful hair.
Thank you for the video that was very nice! I have a question was that the whole bag of spinach because it didn't look like very much? I would want to use the whole bag would I just put the same ingredients or a little more?
Thank you so much for a lovely recipe. I have always bought the creamed spinach in a box. A bag of spinach gave me two servings. Love your beautiful long hair. God bless you.
Yikes woman you should NEVER put garlic in a pan before the onion. Saute the onion a few minutes and then add in the garlic. That greatly lessens the chance that the garlic will burn and give your dish an "off" flavor. a la Julia Child many years ago. ☺ l learned that when l was about your age...l'm 80 now.
I like other methods better where you barely wilt the spinach (first & separately by just putting it in a thin layer of hot oil in a pan and lid it a few minutes) & then add it to the creamed onion & garlic & nutmeg mix after that has thickened a bit. That way you are not cooking the heck out of the spinach. But it was nice to learn this other easy method.
A woman that doesn't use measurements is a woman that knows what she is doing 😋😋😋😋🤗🤗👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 that looks amazing. And after reading the comments what it seems like to me is the people who are leaving mean comments are mad because they want your spot. "I can do it better" comments are so so annoying. People come here to learn someone else's ways not who can do it better 🤐🤐🤐😤😡
I don't use measuring spoons or cups when cooking, unless it is very specific in order to be a specific consistency or such OR unless I'm baking, because that could be disastrous! I love how people twist a person's words to suit their own needs or egos. I never said I could do it better. I said her recipe "does not sound tasty to me". And NO, I do not want anyone's 'spot'!! I have my own and it's not online!!
I love cream spinach just didn't know how to fix it at home. Couldn't figure out the creamy part. I would normally buy those steamable in the bag that you microwave. Thanks for the tips!!!! Salmon or tilapia and cream spinach is tonight's dinner.
You 2 ladies are correct!! I saw a report that stated you should indeed wash everything and especially if it says pre-washed. Good to trust your senses. 😊
Yes please one long braid would be very nice and if you don't want to put one long braid in your hair then stop every other minute as you're touching your hair and wash your hands just saying I love creamed spinach but not so much creamed spinach with hair
Hating and making suggestions are two different things, I personally dont hate anyone, especially someone I dont know, I had no problem with the recipe or her, ftm, but when Ii made a simple suggestion everyone took it to another level, it wasn't a personal attack, it was a simple REQUEST she even thanked someone for having her back on the matter. The polite thing to do was to just say a simple "thank you! or whatever to me...js
When I make alfredo sauce with heavy cream I bring it to a small simmer for a minute or so to get it to thicken a little. I may be wrong in doing that but it seems to work so far lol
You are so pretty!!!! You did an amazing job to me and it was nice, simple and easy to follow. No big fancy stuff to confuse me. Thank you for putting this up and please block out all the haters.
Girl this is an awesome recipe. You know I think some people just get on these posts just to criticize! You are doing at great job. by the way, could you tell me where you got your salt grinder and is there a pepper grinder also? Thank You!
You are so sweet, I really appreciate the comment!! Oh gosh, I got those at Home Goods forever ago and since then broke them so I have no clue what the brand it is. I'm sorry :(
Interesting to see how others make it. I make a rue too, and I chop my spinach and it comes out nice and thick. Regardless of how one makes it, I love spinach and will never turn it down! I also grate some nutmeg in it too.
sweety1363 while I agree with you I know there are some out there that shudder at the thought of ingesting a fungus. Maybe she is one of them. Hence, the reason they were not added. To each their own.
You could make a sauce with spinach some flour and some milk and you could get some pasta but you can boil water and put pasta in the water and then when the pasta finish you put pasta in with the sauce and mix it together and put it in the oven
wow.. a gorgeous woman that knows how to cook!!! we need more of you in this world.lol.. looks good, cant wait to try it. and I hope to see more of you cuz you are heaven to see...keep up the great work gorgeous
I love how you prepared this creamed spinach.

I cook the spinach, mix with sour cream. Also fried 2 eggs not too hard, not too soft.YAMMY
This looks very good, also where did you get the salt and pepper shakers they are so cute 😊
Nice... But you didn't use enough spinach for the amount of cream that you put in... My suggestion is to also add a little bit of cream cheese
you touch your hair and touch the food
No disrespect but she's not cooking for you
she is cooking for every body if not she wont turn on the cammera
Creamed spinach taste great but not fallen hair.

I've made creamed spinach with 2 lbs of fresh spinach.. and I'm pretty sure she didn't use the whole 2 lbs. My pan had a lot more in it.
Thank you so much for a lovely recipe. I have always bought the creamed spinach in a box. A bag of spinach gave me two servings. Love your beautiful long hair. God bless you.
So sweet of you!! Thank you for trying it out :) Have a great day!

You are cooking the garlic in butter and olive oil so it won't burn
You are right. First onion and then garlic. Zaida - Puerto Rico
@Jackie...I TOTALLY AGREE!!!

Why the hell was I recommended this after watching a deep fried tf2 engineer cream gravy meme
Thank you for your video! Where did you get your salt and pepper shakers from? I love them!!
I make this cream spinach and wrap and roll it with crepe. You can also add shredded boiled chicken breast.
I love cream spinach just didn't know how to fix it at home. Couldn't figure out the creamy part. I would normally buy those steamable in the bag that you microwave. Thanks for the tips!!!! Salmon or tilapia and cream spinach is tonight's dinner.

Everyday gourmet,Blakely can not wait to try your delicious cream spinach recipe THANK you😊
i like the recipe only thing i would do is wash my spinach first....i dont trust anything that claims to be "pre cleaned"
I am the exact same way. I never eat anthing that is so called pre-washed. That is zo nasty, and is exactly why I dont eat at most peoples homes.
You 2 ladies are correct!! I saw a report that stated you should indeed wash everything and especially if it says pre-washed. Good to trust your senses. 😊
DenitraRed I love it

Not sure what type of cream you used. The recipe isn't in the link or I just can't find it.
Confused. I was always told, u don’t actually cook cream, just add to hot dish. Am I wrong?
When I make alfredo sauce with heavy cream I bring it to a small simmer for a minute or so to get it to thicken a little. I may be wrong in doing that but it seems to work so far lol
Wyh did u grate the cheese with the plastic still on it?
I didn't grate the plastic! I only keep it on the cheese to hold it easily.
Can u use milk instead of heavy cream ? I don’t have heavy cream
She used 1/2 and 1/2.
You are so pretty!!!! You did an amazing job to me and it was nice, simple and easy to follow. No big fancy stuff to confuse me. Thank you for putting this up and please block out all the haters.

Everyday Gourmet With Blakely
Ow
What is that cream
Did you put milk in it?
Did you no have spoon to mix??
so no rue? I don't get it. I'll have to watch this again to figure out how you made this.
she said the cheese eloped thicken it. But basically when you reduce cream in a pan it becomes a concentrated thicker sauce.
Interesting to see how others make it. I make a rue too, and I chop my spinach and it comes out nice and thick. Regardless of how one makes it, I love spinach and will never turn it down! I also grate some nutmeg in it too.
Very nice recipe thanks
Wow what a great compliment. Thank you so much and I'm so happy that you enjoy my recipes!

Exactly!! I'am reading the comments to see does anyone knows. People dont realize that they are talking to an audience not to themselves.
I'm going to make this tonight to go along with some burgers as a delicious side. Thanks
Even if suppose to be wash, you still should wash it, not always is cleaned appropriately, some people have been known to find bugs.

Why would so many people give this a thumbs down?? It's just spinach people! Wtf
The jealous ones give thumbs down
A lot of fresh spinach only make a small amount of sauteed! When you cook any green they shrink dramatically.
Everyday Gourmet With Blakely no shit she was just demonstrating dum dum
wow.. a gorgeous woman that knows how to cook!!! we need more of you in this world.lol.. looks good, cant wait to try it. and I hope to see more of you cuz you are heaven to see...keep up the great work gorgeous

Yum,I love spinach! A new way for me to eat it!!! Thank you...
This video is 12,yrs old and I was looking at it thinking I've seen this before. Probably have. I hope all is well with you.
Definitely making this for dinner. Thank you 😊 simple
Looks very inviting however I do feel that the salt is a little bit too much since the parmesan cheese has that content
I dont understand why people use tongs for stirring. 😫
Tongs is my favorite tool in the kitchen, easier to handle and makes no mess
Great job!
Will definitely try. It looks easy enough.
That's how hair ends up in your food at restaurants and you get frustrated!!!! LOL
hebrewprincess555 if she was in a restaurant dummy shed have to wear hair up and a hair net. grt real will you idiots!!!
Why are your salt and pepper mills so small?

@@marycollier5239 😄😄

Oh brother
You2099... she’s gorgeous and casual. Get over it.
I agree she has beautiful hair looks clean. But next video tie it back n u can cook with no interruptions while cooking
Just make a light béchamel and throw the wilted spinach in there. Done!

Looks so delicious Tky for the twist !!
What is half & half: what may I use if I can't find h&h in the shops?
Arlene Andrew It’s half milk and half cream-so not as heavy.
