    great video. by chance do you have a video or a recommendation video for the front brakes as I know the front are brembos?

    • @simcityauto9610
      @simcityauto9610  3 роки тому +2

      I’ll probably be making one soon. My front brakes are about due for a replacement. Pushing 53,000 miles on my 2016 now.

    Can you do a transmission oil change video on this same car

    • @simcityauto9610
      @simcityauto9610  4 роки тому +1

      Eight Mind If it is something that can be done at home I probably can, but my car is a low Mileage vehicle and that service isn’t quite due yet. I’ll look into whether or not it can be done though.

      the fill port on the sealed transmission is on the passenger side of the transmission, kinda hard to find, look for a sealed transmission video, you will need a hand pump

    If you would lifted the caliber & reatighten the super bolt you would of had both hands.

    Do u not need to bleed the brakes once u change them?

    • @simcityauto9610
      @simcityauto9610  3 роки тому +1

      Absolutely not. You only have to bleed your brakes if you open up your brake system (ex: changing brake lines) or if you’re doing a brake fluid flush/exchange.

    So where did you get those special priced brake pads? Dealer? Parts store?

    Is the process different for the front brakes?

    • @simcityauto9610
      @simcityauto9610  4 роки тому +1

      Nick Lovell process is definitely different for the fronts, because we have performance Brembo brakes up front. They are easier though. Just pop out 2 pins, use flat edge or screwdriver to push caliber pistons back in and slide new pads right in.

    Is it hard to replace the rotors?

    • @simcityauto9610
      @simcityauto9610  4 роки тому

      Michael X I’m not sure

    • @VelleyIndustrial
      @VelleyIndustrial 3 роки тому

      Yes. New rotors are strongly recommended. Also remove and re-lubricate the slide pins. It's good practice to clean and wipe down the Piston boot before driving the Piston back into the caliper. Also use a small wire brush to clean the caliper bracket before installing new pad guides. Finally, bleed and change the break fluid.
