    Hello, great video, and with your excellent guidance I am doing my 2009 CTS-V brake pad and rotor replace job. I've run in to an initial problem. The front brake rotor hold down screw with the Torx T30 head has stripped out. The screw seems to be a fairly soft metal. I've got a new screw from the dealer. Any advice on what to do to get it out? Yikes. Thanks for any input. - Gary

    One question it looks like the fitted those brake calipers on my Saab 9-3 is there any way you can tell me the part number to those one piece rotors because currently I have the two piece rotors and those things are expensive af $700 a rotor

    I have a 2012 CTSV and I’m wondering what brakes to get but saw these Hawk one pop up? Is it really low dust producing and also you don’t need to bleed the brake lines when changing the brake pads? I only ask because I’ve never been shown how to change my brakes lol.

    • @backyardchevy328
      @backyardchevy328  2 роки тому +1

      Yea they definitely produce less..and no u dont have to bleed the brakes unless u introduce air into the system by like replacing a brake hose or a brake caliper etc.

    Any brake in procedure? Thank you for your time.

    • @backyardchevy328
      @backyardchevy328  2 роки тому

      Yea, the way i do it..is you do 5 stops one after the other from 40 mph to 10mph..when ur done with those u wanna avoid a full stop though cause thatll cause an imprint..then do 5 more stops right after from 30mph to 5 mph once again avoid coming to full stop...so from here you wanna drive for 5 mins so it allows ur brakes to cool trying to avoid a full stop...if u have to stop...put vehicle in neutral or park while u wait to go again so u dont imprint brake pads to rotor...in other words u wanna find a empty lot to do this in

    Your prying on brembos with aa screw driver, you chiped the caliper. You take off the caliper which made all the prying unnecessary.
