What a video, what a bike, i also had a CBF1000a with the detuned fireblade engine, it only had 98bhp so no comparison but i loved it. What a price, wish i was 20 years younger I'd buy one tomorrow.
I've got a CB1000RA 2017 and I feel like this is a modern version of that bike. I absolutely love it and hate when I can't ride. But, if I have a spare 10k, I'd be getting one of these, no question.
Still can't get over the Jeckle and Hyde on this bike, you can commute in traffic like a cb500, then you can hit just short 90mph in 1st gear forget wheelie control it doesnt work, some footage can't be shown👍👍👍
If a bike doesn't bring you joy, then find another one. My ZX4RR brings me such a joy. It does everything that I need a bike to do. I don't need 150 hp. To each their own. My insurance is cheaper than the MT07 that I had. Great fuel milage. I could tour on it but, probably wouldn't because I have another bike for that. The 1100 Hornet is a steal for what you get. If you need that much. It's the same price as my ZX4RR. I am happy with what I got. I don't know if I would have chosen what I got, if the 1100 Hornet was available or not. Never know. If it had cruise control, I probably would.
That my view some people decpise the NC really don't care it's me that rides it, and its like a swiss army knife to me it does everything I want it to do, The Hornet 1000 would be brilliant with cruise but even better with e clucth👍👍👍
Listen I've riden my nephews MT09 THERE F ing Crazy, you eat flies like Pizza and you just hold on hoping there no walls ahead, I've owned R1 R6 and many more and used to ride much more agressiveley than the old guy I am now, If I was 30 there would be one in my garage👍👍👍 Oh I am getting ago on the New MT09 auto when it's in Hunts
Hi Paul, I'm still loving my CB650R eclutch. I just wondered how the riding position is on the Hornet compared to the CB? Any issues with cramp as you did on the CB? I'll have to pop over to Nottingham and get a ride on one. I'd fancy the SP version for the extra few quid personal. Maybe in a year or two mate. Gotta watch the pennies. It's to easy to want when it comes to bikes 🏍 🤔. Ride safe mate and take care.
Love the name, The Hornet for me much more comfy, I was suprised I thought the seat would do me in after 1hr, What would it be like with e clutch WOW, the Hornet on this occasion only due to I got really bad cramp, get a ride on it, and I havent rode the SP but people couldn't even get the best out of that 1k cheaper, It will be Honda biggest seller, I do miss the handling on the cb650r still a bike that does roads for fun👍👍👍
The sad thing here is that a bike like that reaches 70 mph so easily and quickly the sheer amount of power and acceleration is basically completely wasted on most if not all UK roads 🤷🏻
It will do 70 in 1st gear, and that's not using full throttle so 90s I recon, people sometimes don't realise the power, and forget it feels lighter when riding at speed, Where it actually increase weight to speed, if you don't no how to ride, the only traction you will see is a hospital type👍🤣🤣🤣
Birchy! What a bike...!!!! Where to start? First off, what a great commentary. All too often reviewers do reviews that don't convey the feeling of what it's like 'just to be riding' but your commentary managed to capture how it makes you feel As you know (or I think you do?) I have previously owned 2 ZZR1400's and 6 Hayabusa as well as a Kawasaki ZX9-R. There's something just so darned addictive with these bikes that deliver seamlessly smooth power in dollops that no mere mortal could possibly tame. I sold my last ZZR1400 because I was getting seriously debilitating cramp after 20 minutes in the saddle, furthermore, as addictive as that power and speed was, every time I got to my garage to start a bike up to do the trip to Dorset (from South Warwickshire) I found myself choosing my own 'mighty NC'. In fairness if the cramp I was getting had never become such an issue I would have kept the ZZR for the occasional blast, but the fact remains the NC is just so competent and versatile I can't see past it.
Cheers Bib much appreciated, the problem now bikes are just getting better and better, the turn of speed even on low bhp bikes is also so far ahead of bikes in the past, but I had a guy say to me the NC it's the swiss army bike of bikes, it goes fast enough arround the bends and in a straight line which is all I need with bonus comfort fuel ecconemy👍👍👍
‘Streetfighter’ not ‘Street’. This is bland, and all modern bikes are easy to ride. It’s not in the leagues of the KTM SDR, Tuono, M1000R, etc. It’s an old lump tuned for latest Euro regs and it’s meh.
Single worst looking thing is that can 🫣 granted that could be swapped out and I'll bet it won't be long before shit loads appear for the 1000 hornet 😊
There all buying the SP, but I bet 95% won't ever see the full potential, if I was honestly buying one, after riding it I'd be more than happy with the standard bike, I'm not skilled enough now and to old to do it any justice👍👍👍
Had my SP a week now, what a fantastic bike!
@@mattpea734 the standard bike is insane, the price even more, rides really well👍👍👍
Good vid, didn't know there was a left turn after the Bob Smithy, will check that out, cheers
It's a cracking road, carry on you come to a t junction turn right not to the quary you find a fantastic cafe with amazing views👍👍👍

It's deceptive you can ride it like a 500cc but pull that throttle and your on a rocket ship, Elon Musk ligh years behind UNTRUE👍👍👍

I think YOU will be getting one👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏍🏍🏍
Not just yet but yes it will be my next NC and be worth every penny👍👍👍
I’d love you to ride the MT09 SP or MT09 SP and do a comparison. Nice video

Are you doing a Saturday ride out in the next couple of weeks?
Yes Ill put a short vid, going J&S in morning and a short ride on the 2025 NC👍👍👍
Great filtering, did you feel eyes burning on your back?😵💫 Great bike, you can't beat a litre bike.
That doesn't feel like a litre bike in weight, if I had the money spare I wouldn't care sp or that, I had so much fun on it👍👍👍

I take it you like the bike then?!!
@@japfourme381 it's amazing, if I was 10 years younger I'd be handing my licence into the police before buying 😂😂😂👍
Great video, review and bike…but it is a 1000, not an 1100😀👍
well spotted Alsigmers is starting 🤣🤣🤣👍

Its also not in it's price range either I'd guess 😊
I like traction on my bike not a hospital bed🤣🤣If I could get a go on them I would, what ever you ride it should make you feel BRILLIANT👍👍👍👍
