Well a ride home and usual chat what's going on inside the head of a mad motorcyclist, and the pasion for the NC750x DCT we all have our favourite motorcycle, this is mine
Always nice a new bike must admit. Have to say I take every bike for what it is and very rarely alter much. As far as changing my 22MY NC750X DCT it's a keeper and am completely happy with the way it is with only a few miner mods.
As others have said the suspension on the NC is imho its weakest part so it baffles me that they don’t seem to have made any changes to that aspect of the bike. I put a YSS on the back and Hyperpro springs in the front, I do tour with a pillion so the second front brake would be useful but again if they have not sorted the front end forks out the second disk is maybe a negative as the bike will dive more and chatter more on hard braking. I’ll test ride the new one but my investment in suspension and luggage ( it was S/H with all the packs on it ) means I’ll more than likely keep mine. Nice content as usual. Ride safe
Problem is the more they make the upgrades the more expensive it becomes, I think if I keep mine at the end of the pcp, I will make the changes myself, you can't go wrong with any of them from 2013, but it also depends what you want from the bike👍👍👍
I'm waiting for the new model to be released. I very nearly bought a 2014 model then heard the new model was being released in 2025 so I am saving up for that one. I saw that video you talk of and you give a better description of the NC. He only rode it for about three hours whereas you ride yours every day and you have had a few of them among other bikes you have owned. You have influenced me into want one for my next bike.
i'v got a 23 and i like the new one it could do with another disc i'm glad they have left the engine alone, i wonder how the suspension is on the new one because i thought mine was not the best i changed the rear shock for a YSS one and put some hyperpro springs in it rides a lot better,i won't be changing to the new one but will have a ride on a demo
@@arthurdunga345 I bought a suspension kit when I 1st bought mine, then decided to leave it off due to it being PCP, if I end up buying it I will make that change, I'm 60/40 for keeping mine another 12 months, but you don't know until you ride it👍👍👍
Regarding the DCT smoother shift change, my 2015 with 13,000 ish on it is still smooth, I've ridden my mates 22 model DCT and there was no difference whatsoever. I've done the gearbox oil and double filter change I think 3 times since new. In fact, its last MOT I couldn't take it so asked a mate over the road,a keen biker for years on traditional gears loved it when I asked him to take it for it's mot. In fact he's looking at one.
Your not wrong, I had a 2015 and 2019 model, the gearing on the later one is slightly different, but your right I found all the dct I have ridden to be brilliant, I don't think any of the bikes trying to beat it from other manufacturers will come close👍👍👍
When the new model was released, I thought I needed/want the new bike over my 2023 dct model. The more I think about it, do I really need it, probably not. I do think the new bike is now perfect for two up riding now that it has the twin disc setup, but I never take a pillion anymore. I will probably take one out to satisfy my curiosity, but the more I think about it, I doubt I will be changing anytime soon. 👍 Just to add my Honda dealer only offered me £5,000 trade for my old bike which has only covered 1,300 miles, has the comfort pack fitted, Touring Screen, Centre Stand, Foot Guards, Heated Grips plus all the other accessories I have added and the bike is A1
Morning Birchy. 04:00am and I've been looking at Auto-Trader contemplating a new bike. I have checked out the new NC750X but I look at my stunning electric blue 2017 and just cannot see the point in spending £8k+ when it won't offer me anything significantly better. Again, why no cruise control? My 2017 is set up nicely for me, aftermarket comfy seat, aftermarket screen, heated grips etc. So I'll spend the money currently burning a hole on something like a Triumph Rocket 3 Touring or maybe a Triumph Thunderbird 1700. P.S. Monday 30th June, 2025: Cassington bike night. Check it out.
I have a 2021 DCT and the only issues I have with it are the lack of a second disc at the front, the frunk that will not take a medium sized Neotec 2, and chain drive. The new model only solves one of these issues. Any other issues I have with it can be solved with aftermarket accessories (cruise control, taller screen, hand guards etc.) If Honda gave it a frunk that would take ANY helmet (I believe the new model is the same size), belt drive and maybe cruise, then I would consider it worth spending the money.
You can by a belt conversion, and if I buy my bike out of the pcp, it wouldn't cost that much 1 to change forks with 2nd disk and put belt drive on, I have noticed all Harleys use belt, may be a great topic👍👍👍
I would be upgrading my 2019 750X had Honda given the new version cruise control and a better quality swingarm. Instead i will most likely either keep my one and get another bike, or swap mine for an ADV350 Maxi scooter and get an older second bike.
To be honest that will probably be my action for at least another 12 months, my bike is on pcp, so I will decide weather to settle and buy out, like you I have many great accessories, although most can be transferred👍👍👍
All you lads wanting cruise, twin disk, etc. have a look at the Guzzi :-) V85TT just the job! 5000 California cops can't be wrong (except they had Kwaks in CHiPs). Jealous of the frunk though.

You won't regret it, I do think I will be keeping mine until the end of the lease, then decide if I will swap, but there great👍👍👍
