After the conversation I had with her a few weeks ago, I can tell my ex is still hurt by what happened between us, and I can tell she’s not over me. But she’s always been very avoidant and she’s putting her walls up as high as she can cus she’s scared to open up. So I highly doubt she’s gonna take action on her own

Why can we not ignore them when they start to take resolution towards the relationship? Why does it have to be on their terms and their timeframe? It looks like we’re just waiting around for them. I don’t think they should ever receive a response again unless they wanna show up at your door and discuss. Other than that they’re just putting in minimal effort and we’re already hearing them out? They should have to do a lot more than that.

My situation is kinda confusing but when we ended things (on a good term) she said she wanted to stay as friends but she unfollowed me then blocked me on social media.
He ghosted me for like the 10th time. He blocked me. He sent me one angry text telling me it was over and then I haven’t heard from him in 3 weeks. Not a peep. He blocked me once before for two months. Maybe he will reach out eventually but I kind of feel like he found new supply so Im just keeping quiet and doing my thing. I have no push back or resistance anymore just surrendering and detaching. Coach, after 7 years, she monkey branched, almost 3 months ago. Been no contact from the jump, I wasn't the best I could've been, but damn. She's it coming back, she appears happy with her new man, but still reaches out to me about her co-parenting HER daughter, whom we raised together since she was 4. I'm in a tough spot as I love her daughter as my own but dealing with the pain of seeing and talking to my ex with her new man is making everything very hard with complicated emotions about it all. Sounds that for your own good, it's best if you walk away completely. Her daughter should probably be coparented with her new man, not you. You're setting yourself up for long term heartache. Her daughter is not your child and you may be using the kid to stay near your ex, but will cause you indefinite pain if you don't disappear.
That's not your kid. You don't need to co-parent. That leaves open opportunity to continue to be in a toxic relationship. End of story.

My ex is my brother's wife now. It's difficult to move on. Whenever I see her my mind dives into the memories we lived together. I'm not able to overcome.
I don’t know if he cares. All I know is I did the work went silent no contact he dated someone else and they dated for a short time and he was so hurt and all over the place over their breakup but didn’t react that way after two years together and living together when we ended. He came back around to “make amends” so we could be friends again as we were friends before we dated and our best friends are married, and I still take his kiddo a lot as he see him as my kid and he and my daughters call each other brother and sister. I’m trying my best to be a friend but I feel like I’m slipping backwards on my own healing journey of moving on. It’s making me anxious again and spending time together all the time and always being on the phone again makes me miss what I had finally been able to stop obsessively missing. I look back and I know in my heart I couldn’t 💯 trust him to not run away when things get tough again and so I would rather find a new love… but I worry I’ll never stop loving him enough to fully open up to anyone especially if I stay in his life. We aren’t sleeping together or anything like that it’s been pretty respectful and friendly, but when do I draw a line? When he’s okay emotionally from this last break up but it also hurts to watch him hurt over someone else. How do I not feel selfish and bad by taking a step back and letting him deal with it on his own. I question if he ever really loved me cause how can you go from someone you’ve been friends with for so many years to someone you “love” and build a home with for two years… to just giving up so you can go see what else is available. To being so distraught and devastated over someone you saw off and on for 4-5 months. I just don’t get it. I dated someone in between as it’s been almost a year since we officially broke up but I ended things cause it wasn’t fair to be seeing someone while thinking about someone else.

Been broken up for a year now. We started working on things again in September and that lasted until the end of October. I walked away because I felt she was not taking this serious. We have a two year old and a 5 year old. The separation has been traumatic for my kids and my self. I don’t like co parenting and having set days. I never had kids to not be around for them everyday. People say it happens all the time, but why is that justified? I’ll never be okay with this. Now their mother and I do certain things together and with the kids she calls a lot lately but it eats me and the kids up when at the end of the day and the activities are done they are only goin home with one of their parents . We were together for 6 years did everything together, never argued, never called each other out our names.

Make her work for it, don’t tell her an answer yet tell her you’re open to that and you will see how it goes. Put your priorities first, only talk to her face to face on dates while you’re having fun. But still make sure your priorities is number 1
Take it slowly and don't show too much interest in her. Allow her to work for your attention in your own terms.

It depends on the circumstances of the break-up. Was it either lack of communication, or miscommunication? If yes, then maybe it can be worked out.
But imo if they left because things got too rough and can't move forward with you through hard times- Or if there was abuse, infidelity, or lying on either side...there's no going back. Too much resentment there.

Her silence is working on me. I was less than perfect. Unfortunately we have to work together and she latched on to the first guy at work who showed her attention. They moved in together within two weeks of this relationship. It’s been a month and half, seeing them together kills me. She has to walk by me a couple times a day and when she does, she manages to never look at me and walks in the most comforting direction she can find to avoid me. She intentionally says hi to those around me or won’t say hi if she sees me talking to someone she would normally say hi to.
