don't forget to subscribe, were only 10K away from half a million!!!!
10.3k views in 13 minutes. Not to shabby. 😉
subscribed from the first sight
Send out more videos then
If I could have only subscribed 100 times 😂
@@allanpedersen2379how many more one could be sending with all the workload 😊
Am I the only one whose day is made better by finding that Dan has posted another video and watching the video and watching the Chateau come together more? 🙂 Keep up the amazing work.
Me too and I get very disappointed when I don't get my daily dose. Love the wee boys, they are darlings
We are almost half a million impatiently waiting for dan😂
Dan when you started this you tube site did you ever think you would be pushing toward half a million subscribers? We who keep watching are so proud of you and what you have done. Keep your eye on the prize and be safe. I almost feel like a proud grandma (too old to be a mom).🥰🥰🥰🥰
Me too! I admire Dan tremendously! Keep going! You're a star!
I am honestly shocked it’s not more.
Me too Nan it is .....😅😅
Hear heat 🙋🏻♀️👏👏🥳⭐
Same, I really thought - no way would this building be able to be saved. Determination and hard work, but I wonder if he has finished the addition to his wife and childrens home.
I absolutely love how the château is moving very quickly, the floors just wow! You’ve got trees, plants, a parking lot, water soon. It’s definitely not going to take 10 yrs to rebuild. You’re doing a fantastic job! Thank God for Nick and Cameron and your friend from England. Everyone who’s helped along the way. It’s incredible. I let the videos stack up so I have more to watch. Congrats on all the subs, Dan!
@@lynkirby7008 That’s a strange @ Not sure why that was an exclamation?!? It’s obvious that LaLande will never be finished, it’s 400+ yrs old. Look at Dan, he’s completely rebuilding a shell of a chateau, it’s incredible! That deserved an exclamation!
@@lynkirby7008 Lalaland will not be finished. It's not even been started.
One starts with the structural problems. Not the furniture and the wall paper. They honestly have no clue there.
Did anyone get excited when this popped up? 🎉🎉🎉
Sure did 👍🙏👏👏👏
🙋🏻♀️oh yesssss ❤️
Yes!
For sure!❤❤❤
Always do. 😊😊😊
What a brilliant idea to put up four boards at a time. That little silver and red elevator thing has been a gods send.
Absolutely... What a marvel Dan fr doing that 😃👏👏🥳
Working smarter, not harder! Now if only he set up a lift outside to raise all the goods up to the floor he needs it instead of walking up three flights of "stairs" with each board. Great exercise, but geez!
I told my wife that the lift might be the single most important purchase for the project.
We see the hard yakka of demolishing and building, but behind the scenes Dan has to do a massive amount of organising, measuring, ordering materials, getting permits, communicating with local offices including the mairie, water, gas, and electricity bodies, organising labour, scheduling tasks, setting up work spaces, getting structural reports, servicing tools. And this on top of being a father and a human being who has the normal needs, visit the dentist, shop for food, etc. Wow.
Exactly I don't know how he does it and still smile at the end of the day❤❤
My thoughts exactly, every time. It's humbling and yet also like a work of art, in the eye of the beholder. both in physicality and also as a process. But when did art require so many different skills... we come full circle, can only stand and wonder, enjoy.
Dan's project exists on so many levels, both ordinary and extraordinary, one day at a time and yet an effort that is history embodied. And yet always with that spontaneity and humanity.
It really is special.
These words sound incredibly airy-fairy (and yeah, not like me at all), but here we all are, so many different perspectives.
And set up the cameras for the different angles he shows us every episode, then edit each video. He does the work and creatively films and presents the work, with and without musical selections.
Good morning Dan and everyone watching, 8.30 am in Tasmania, never get bored seeing what you are up too and reading all the comments from everyone, sounds like the next month is going to be exciting, take care. 😌🙏👏👏👏👏
@@lyndalouise3480 Hello to lovely Tassie from the south coast of the UK. Surreal. Small log fire, nearly midnight, whisky...
Oh my gosh, the sound of all the birds is splendid.
Isn't it? And there are such lovely views of the countryside from the various window openings.
Maybe Kat will sing the next time she visit. Her singing with the birds would be divine!
I guess that one with the nest in that old hole (with the red arrows pointing to it) didn't stick around? I recall Dan mentioning that it might be able to come through the wall from the outside, but no subsequent news on it, unfortunately.
Isn’t it? It sounds so peaceful and tranquil there.
@@tonywheal8026 You're jumping to conclusions.
Orange pant man is gonna be impressed w your new tools Dan, a long way frm dodgy ramps, shovel & wheelbarrow.
'Orange Pant Man' - the new hero we need for the 2020's, soon to be a major film.

I thought that too. How quick things progress having the right tools!!!
I suspect he has already seen them via videos and/or pics Dan likely sent him
That is so cool Fast and furious now ❤ it !!
Congratulations on having more trees outside the chateau than inside. Oh good job on the nearly 500K subscribers as well. Really enjoy the footage
What a star this guy is, I discovered Dan when he worked for Stephanie. He has come a long way since then. Would not miss any of his posts. We all need a Dan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love to see how you stay so excited and encouraged with every bit of progress, whether it’s present or future! You’re a Prince Dan!
Hello Dan
We all wish you could have permanent help, if I had one wish for you, that would be it!!!
Who’s with me?
Love and respect from Canada
❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️
I also wish you will use more protective gloves. Just advice
It will get better, soon water connected,
American here and I agree with permanent help with Dan. It would be safer to instead of him being Superman and doing everything on his own. We Love you Dan.
Ah ! Perfect, a fellow Canadian. Am I dreaming at 0:05 or are those maple leaves ? Maybe I`m dreaming, lol.
Yup, agree! 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
I have to confess, Dan, that when you revealed what you were planning to do, I thought, “he can’t do it; it’s far too much work”. But now I can definitely say, “He WILL do it, and it’s going to look stunning inside and out!” Thanks for being an amazing inspiration.
OMG! Orange pant man aka Calvin is coming back?!! I love it!!!
Dan, this side has been so different from the other! Again, young man, I am thoroughly impressed with your work ethic, your ever increasing master craftsmanship, and love for this project (most of the time)! Stay safe! I'm still cringing at heights! Hey, I spotted noggins in my own garage yesterday!
😂😂😂
To support your channel I let the most ridiculous commercials run. 'Hero wars' is like torture, so incredibly stupid. Only for you, Dan 😉!
I turn the volume off and read the comments while the commercials run. Win-win.
Cheers!
I let them run too. Hopefully this delivers more money to keep the work going. Do not skip them
Mmm 🥴🥴👋
Me too! They drive me mad, but all for Dan’s chateau!
Use Brave brower: no stupid adds any more!
The Chateau is so happy, Dan. And, the Chateau is blessed to have you as a caretaker.❤
I remember when you start the work with wooden beams using hand tools. It was a slow process, but you did it with amazing precision. Good luck ín this month.
It must be really hard to deal with having floors, the best tools, and a staircase after the wheelbarrow and dirt ramp days.
Those stairs are proving to be invaluable for getting stuff to the top, quicker & safer. A job well done.
Dan! The Man with a Plan! 💪👷♀
Nice to see a chateau builder with a focused plan and prepping for the next stage.
I L❤️VE the charm of Chateau de Chaumon!!! 🥰🎶❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🏰🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
I’m floored how fast that next part went in! It’s almost like having stairs and lots of experience makes things go faster!
one long term rather obvious difference I see from here in New Zealand : the timber you have access to there is so much better than the rubbish here.
I think they have been milling the boards since they cut down the woods.
The trees and shrubs look wonderful, I am amazed at the progress you have made . Look after yourself , no more risk taking . Love the program .
Nearly 500k. The crowd roars their approval as they see it happening in front of their eyes. They aren’t chanting you silly noggin. No, they are chanting clever noggin. Yay! Go Dan. I’m excited for you along with all who have subscribed. You dedication and hard work are truly paying off.
You've got things down to a science now, Dan. Getting close to 500K subscribers - good job.
Stay safe. Great experience in carpentry and the right tools and workshop is just what you needed!
Soon be on to the interior. Well done Dan, you deserve every success. Get your name down for Steph's old dining chairs, one less thing to buy.
They’ve gone to Patrick and Stuart
@@annegiorgio5602 I thought that too but they were still in the attic the other day with the books 🤔
Dan, I know you have had a fair share of help throughout this journey but, the amount of work you have done and the kind of work that you have done completely alone is astonishing! Keep on cracking on! You'll be living in it before you know it!
Look at how he just trots up those stairs with stuff! So cool to see even temp stairs back
The drive into the grounds is really beautiful, What a difference 💖
Dan. What an amazing video of sa many camera angles and brilliant editing skills.
Lets get Dan to 500k subs asap.....he deserves all the support possible..
Dam, you’ve definitely got those floor joists mastered!!! Fantastic work ❤🇨🇦
Ahhh... remembering the 'good ol' days' when getting one floor done took a week. Congratulations on how quickly you're getting things done, at this rate the roof will be done by late summer!
This building has such character and its setting is beautiful. How marvelous that Dan saw the promise in the ruins of the chateau and is bringing her back.
Powering those joists up and into a place for flnal positioning without having to go up to wiggle each one into place was SMOOTH!
Thank you Dan and friends ❤❤❤
WOW!!!! The improvement in your progress on this side of the chateau is impressive. Watching you cutting, lifting and setting load after load of beams in place on the top floor, rather than carrying one by one, is so gratifying. Must be even more so for you. At the end of each day you surely must go to sleep with a satisfied smile!
Wow those floor joists went in a lot faster than the first floor you did. The last wing is going to be something to see with the upgrades you have acquired. Brilliant! I'm not guessing - really I'm not, waiting for you to surprise me
How pretty the gardens are looking with all the spring leaves on the trees. I hope you didn't lose many over the winter.
I want to know if the little bird came back to her eggs.
Sounded a bit like it, didn't it.? I hope so.
I'd guess they are probably going to be abandoned, but it's a clear hint that they need to add nest boxes in to the gardens, there is still time for birds to raise a second brood.
Its ilegal to distrub birds nests in england during nesting season.
Having the wood on a table instead of the floor feels amazing.💪🏻
Kudos, Dan!!! Getting much more efficient installing the planks.
big sign at the front door ..... NO SMOKING !!!
Ha!! 😅
😂🤣
Good!!! Calvin is returning???! He is great help for you Dan, so happy for you. Dan your stairway and railing is so much easier for you and safer for you. All the best! Such an efficient way you placed several joists at once. You have figured out some excellent short cuts. Yep, I was getting excited thinking about those noggins!!! lol lol Very impressive Dan. God Bless.
Your progress has been amazing. I'm excited to see the next steps. Your positive attitude makes each episode a joy to watch.
Thanks Dan! It’s so fascinating to see all the things you do, perfectionism on the Mansard pieces, and the way you have streamlined the work. You have really good people helping when you need it. Nick is just amazing in teamwork.
Dan, you make lifting, carrying, cutting, placing, those heavy beams, look so usual, just casual. You are amazing. I love your channel. Thank you. ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉😊
Some of the Plants are in Flower ! Great Job - one more Floor getting Installed - more Progress and a "Big" Surprise coming next ! Love how You are Teasing Us ! Many Cheers from Australia !!!!
This is exciting! How fast it’s coming together. Can’t wait to see the gang back together again. How fun! Will done!
I was getting withdrawal symptoms having to wait 4 days for a new vlog. Love the progress and have been a subscriber since before you hit 100k ❤
Dan, I have learned so much about building, thanks to you. You make it look so easy ( and I know it is not; some work can be tedious as well). Your perseverance, and tenaciousness are simply amazing! I look forward to your video every day you make one and send it out. Superb! And now all the gang are coming to help, exciting!!
I freakin love watching this! I've seen every episode. I think the main reason I love it so much is that this 1 man decided to take on such a huge project. I know he's had (and will continue to get) help along the way...but he's the bulk of it. From just a crappy wheelbarrow and his own bare hands to what it is today. Major...major props, bro. You inspire me. Can't wait to see where this all ends up!! I wish so badly that I could be there to donate my time to help! Cheers!
I look forward to these every single week!!
Dan you make it look so easy!! Thank God for the crank up lifter, it has changed your life!! Well done.
The shop and tools are really showing their usefulness. The floor board notching with the right tools, and noggin cutting is much faster. Cant wait for window building and the tools used.
Dan, to see you walking past that landing window is a joy! Last thing that waved through that window was a tree!! 😂😂
I’m amazed at how much you have learned to do things so much faster. I remember when you guys were trying to fit one floor joist at a time… now you carry them up the stairs, put them on the lift and put five or six of them in at a time. I can’t wait to see what else you figure out how to go faster
Dan, I really do hope you will keep the Chateau and pass it on to your children. I just love how they will be able to tell their children and grandchildren children “This is what grandfather or great grandfather did.
Noggins Noggins Away Ole Man ... Trip Trappin' toward the other Roofside done. So nice to have a video from you today. Enjoy the sunshine.
Noggings noggings, love to see them go up. Glad your helpers are coming and going to do a big push to get things done.
Oh Dan, you noggin tease 🤣🤣 weather has been vile this side of the channel too, darn rain. Looking forward to seeing the big boy project. Sleep swell K🇬🇧❤️
Indeed! This is the wettest year I can remember, and I can remember back quite a 'few' decades.
Efficiency at its best today! Love how you are learning and improving your methods to getting the flooring installed. Those 'stairs' are making a huge difference.
My guess: the pool, the plumbing, the roof. Keep rocking, D.
I think you're right about the plumbing (at least from the street to just outside the chateau). And probably the roof. But instead of the pool, I'm going with floors in the main section. He's mentioned that it's a much bigger span, and will be harder to do.
Can't wait to see others' guesses, and then what actually happens!
IV a feeling it's the back section so that he can walk through the front and out the back, he said for him itwould be a massive achievement and super handy for the build and then the roof on the newly floored section, if he's getting a few people in next week then they can do two things at once
He'll be putting stairs into the basement
It's time those tools were used
Dan, I have to tell you the best money you ever spent was on the hoist/crane thingy you use to lift the beams into place. You were very clever when you made that purchase.
I also really enjoyed Dan the Gardener planting up the property. It was like the good ole days seeing you work with the plants.
I just love your daily posts. I shed a tear when you don't post.😊
I look forward to these every single day !
I really love seeing how you're working out your process improvement methods such as putting an entire batch of slats up and then adjusting. I bet it saves so much time doing it this way, at least it looks like it's saving a ton of time! Have really missed seeing you totally understand, the weather will be the weather and there's very little to be done about that but it's always good to see you while you're here. Can't wait to see the entire team all together punching this out really soon! Bring on the orange pants!
Amazing to see how your skill and methods have improved to the point where you install 5, 10, 15 joists with such ease now!
WOW almost half a million subs! Great going! I remember when you started you had just a shovel, a wheelbarrow and a bucket, look at you now!!
Can't wait to see the project with all the manly men!!!
Hear hear 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💕💕
A wheelbarrow with a flat tire no less 😅
Can’t wait to see all the activity coming up 👍
Can’t wait to see what the big surprise is - maybe the wall studs this side. I just love your passion, motivation and sheer will to keep going. You are certainly one incredible young man - and I’m glad you are still here after all the near heart attacks you must have had dangling precariously all over this immense old girl xx
I watched an episode of George Clarke on channel 4 earlier, where a guy renovated an old bakery so his sister and nephew could live in it. George talked about how the guy was a heating engineer/plumber by trade but learned a lot of other skills to carry out the renovation. Ha, I thought, impressive, but is he a gardener renovating a chateau!? I think not.
An opg, orange pantsguy😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉
I wish George Clark could see this amazing job..its by far the best renovation I have ever seen..
or a trained chef or oil rigger
@@edwinaflannery9828 that would be amazing!
I saw that episode too!!! 😊😂
The stairs have paid off already. I can’t believe how upbeat you are working hard on your own. 👍
We've followed you from that tumble down pile of rubble you started in. Your courage and persistence is your story and now the boys born in that first project house are running around helping you. Hooray! the people from Old Blighty have the right stuff.
Wow Dan..that's really smart thinking putting them all up there and then spreading them out
Marvellous stuff going on and the A Team being assembled for a huge mystery project. Can’t wait. 😊
Dan, I've said it before, but I do truly love you. Your energy is just awesome. Looking forward to see all the gang back.
Cheers
So excited for you! Love your videos and your work!
Hi Dan and friends! You've come a long way baby!🥂
One man's flooring is another man's ceiling.
Stumbled onto the channel and I'm endlessly fascinated - I love hard work: could watch it all day.
An FAQ would be handy, such as budget, projected costs, overruns etc.
Keep up the fine work,
Dude. I was the same. Plans, practicalities, who looks after the dogs, what about quantity surveying, engineering, let alone hygiene etc. It's taken many of us years to adjust to doing without such things, you need to search within yourself for that zen mindset, otherwise it will eat away at your very soul... ; )
One day at a time - as Dan might say.
Dan keeps all that stuff behind the camera ... And you the viewer guessing ... It's like russian roulette on here sometimes! Dan reveals his very intensive planning through what you see on screen ...welcome aboard & enjoy the rollercoaster 🙋🏻♀️😜
@@crannuselshihtzu5566 👍Precisely. And it took me a long time to appreciate why that was the right decision. : )
The two things’ people are always wanting to know Costs & Personal life, which Dan has worked out wisely never to reveal instead just focuses on the target audience with imagery through editing.
It will be interesting what sort of person will be persuaded to buy this building when he decides to go onto the next “project”.
There is the issue of security, Im sure a whole lot goes on behind the camera
Dan, you are one incredible man and a pure genius. My husband had been in the woodworking industry for 50 plus years. He passed last year, but I know he would have been glued to your videos as he was quite an expert with woodworking machines. I bet anything he would have loved to help you in a heartbeat.
It's impressive that one side of the flooring is done in 1 day! (Minus noggins) This is fantastic to watch, everyday i look forward to seeing your progress, and as always, you meet or exceed my expectations of what can transpire in a day! Thank you Dan, for including us all on this wonderful journey!!
Dan its amazing to see the process improvement for installing the floor beams.
I look at the façade, with its red brick, grey stone and rendered panels and I can't help but think that's the colour scheme LEGO would use!
Great idea..
Now there is an idea logo chateau chamont 😅
Thats why LEGO chooses that color scheme...😂
I'd build that 😂
Super fun to watch your progress! 🤎🙌🏻🤎🙌🏻🏗️
Dan has perfected the floor joist cutting and putting in place down to a T, impressive 💯
So nice to see the progress and the layout of the new work-space! way to go! I think it bares mentioning that "Mystik Dan" won the 150th Kentucky Derby Saturday......with record crowds! Mystik Dan ...... hmmmm...... sounds pretty good !
If you had water I would guess the river. Putting in power? Roof tiles ? Starting the last section steels?
Too early for doors and windows?
Escape to rural France makes for some exciting viewing. I'm thinking "Point Load" rather than the expected UDL (4:09) I'm also thinking of the bird's nest.
WOW! How impressive how you have mastered to get those joist up there all by yourself, Dan!
Great job today Dan.🥰
What a work horse you are Dan. good job!
You are working very skilfully with those beams, now
What an amazingly helpful tool that lift is. The ramp is working out great too.
I love the way you’re always honing your technique. That was a very efficient way of positioning those beams.
That bit of rain this past week will make all the difference for your plants and garden. I will be in Paris and Bordeaux later this week and the temperatures will range from 20C-30C. So blessings for the rain.
Thank you Dan every time a new video just shows how accomplished you have become you should be so proud Dan! Surprising work you have completed
Two things:
1. I hope that bird nest is still active.
2. I'm still championing you building a utility / work shed on the property to store everything out of the weather. Perhaps including a toilet / shower / utility sink. That way more people can stay on site to help out.
Absolutely amazing work Dan!!! Love the sounds of the birds!!❤❤❤❤
