@@linehand10 Ever seen a vinyl siding crew work? It's called scaffolding. Light alluminum platforms to safely walk across. There are risks to most every job. Let them work.
Mike that’s why I like watching your videos, not only are you a hard worker you show other young workers also just starting out in their businesses. You have given them a name a help promote the work. You’re a goodwill ambassador to this UA-cam network.
I usually don't make comments to anybody but I do watch your Channel. I've watched you for the last couple months and it's pretty amazing the cabin is beautiful and I love all the education that you guys put on here. Thank you😊
I too enjoy these videos you make. You see these pavilions on the side of the road but you never see how they're constructed. It's all about time and money with this crew. They work well together and produce a nice product. That wind turbine blade was awesome also. Stay safe.
Tell ya what Mike, I really loved seeing this video, I actually have a self made campground down at the end of our property and am strongly considering a timber frame pavilion for over our picnic tables. So yeah, I learned a bunch watching this video. By the way, keep this kind of videos coming, I love seeing good people doing good things. Have a day! Jay from Pa.
Mike...I don't often comment on any U-Tube videos. I just enjoy the content and learning new skills and technics. This one is over the top. Those young men doing the construction of that pavilion helped restore my faith in young American workers. I'm in the early stages of planning a timber framed structure and this video put a little my fire in my plan to "Git Er Done". All this from a young at heart guy raised in good old Westmoreland County PA . Keep up the good work on your Channel. SGM Dave from TN.
Well trained and Precision oriented crew. We could feel the pride in his voice and mannerisms! Good People make a community a great place to live. I grew up in a town of 600 people surrounded by dairy farms. Only one professional person in the town and that was the Dr. Most worked at the veneer plant making plywood. As a young boy it was fascinating to watch them roll the big logs into the steam pit, then to send the logs to the machines to strip off thin sheets of wood to glue together for plywood. They had a steam whistle that they blew at 7am Monday-Friday to let workers know they had 30 minutes to get to work. Then at 7:30 they blew it again and at noon for lunch and 12:30 to go back to work. It could be heard all over our small town.
MIKE, great stuff. Your channel has always been the 'launching pad' for small businesses to get their companies and YT channels growing ! Seems like everything you touch, turns to gold. (King Mikas!)
Thank you, Mike, for promoting small business!! I loved your comments about focusing on the good hard-working people in this great country 🇺🇸. Two of these hard-working guys, from "Ridge Woodworking" Joe and Jed are my son-in-laws... 🤩
Excellent video Mike at Tri=State Gazebo . This is a well designed and built Gazebo that will be around a lifetime. Very well built and turned out beautifully. Hope you know somebody that might be able to hook you up with some wood so you could mill the wood for one. Once you get your hands on one of those nibblers for cutting tin you'll keep it in a special place and always cleaned and ready to use , they are handy and you can make decorative tin signs and other artwork with them too. Stay safe and keep up the great work and videos. Fred.
Yep, love that you showcase people you are working with. That pavilion is beautiful and so is your cabin. Can't want to see the shower house and hallway to it
When I built my porch, I bought my wood straight from a big box store but I did something most people never think about and some thought I was crazy for doing. I put the wood in my garage, stickered them, and let them dry for months before constructing. This helped weed out the bad warped wood, made it much lighter to work with, and helped cut back bad warping after construction when the sun really hits the wood. Other than staining it every other year or so, the deck literally looks as good as new and was built back around 2014. Do it right the first time and you wont' have to do it again later.
Wow that is an amazing building Thank you Mike we all appreciate the fact that you and others support small business. I have found that dealing with small business you are really helping families ❤

Mike, I ❤ what you do! Your mind is always looking for new ways to enjoy life and share with others! Thanks for doing what you do, keep up the great work and I’ll keep checking like a good neighbor and see what you’ve been up too
Mike call me a purist but I’m glad you called this construction method “post beam”. Pure timber frame is based on mortise/tenon held together with oak pegs. Much stronger. If you want to learn more watch some of the Shelter Institute videos. They teach timber framing, designs, load factor, etc. also true timber framing uses green wood. The mortise/tenon/peg construction holds it together and everything drys. Just different but notice all the timber frame barns that have been around for 100s of years.
You are absolutely correct. The most accurate description would be "framing with timbers". It still requires skill, but on a whole different level. Not to take anything away from these skilled young men, they do beautiful work. It's nice to see young people who aren't afraid of hard work.
Those nibbler is a very cool tool attachment. Timber framing is very interesting. I live in farming area and enjoy seeing differant barns . Those men worked so hard to assemble and cut all the beams by hand.
That pavilion was beautiful! It was hell for stout too. Sure glad you shared that with us, thank you. Sounded like you might be entertaining the idea of one at your place. It would fit right in and look great.
very well done video just showing the details, the narration, the slow look at important points and interesting backgrounds made it informative and entertaining
That is exactly why I watch your channel Mike. I learn something new just about every time from a family that couldn’t be any nicer or more real and makes a positive difference in this world. Kudos to you!
I'm disabled remodeling carpenter of 42 yrs. Great awesome pavilion they installed! 😲😲🥰😊😉👍I even learned some things too. The Makita metal cutter is awesome. I've done new constructed building. We always used dull circular saw blades. To cut metal roofing. 🙄🥺😑😔 Metal shards flying all directions. Even though. We wore face protection! The Makita was cutting effortless & less metal shards. 😍😊😉👍Thanks Mike. 😍😊😉👍❤️💜🙏
Mike and Mellissa, y'all need one of those post frame gazebo s at the West Virginia property. I would look good and be a great addition for family and friends get togethers.
Yes, not to mention Torx style drive heads, cordless impact drivers, and lithium ion battery development. These are all parts of the system that make it a success. Got to admire those Amish builders that use wooden dowels to attach things. They still do that, right?
Great video about a great looking product. TriState sure puts out quality products. They should sell the heck out of those pavilions once people see their display model.
Happy Saturday, another great video showcasing good and talented people hard at it. Beautiful pavilion. Thanks Mike....have a great weekend. Steve in Calgary

We have a much smaller less fancy pavilion and did cedar inside for the roof, steel roof itself. Very nice looking that way and it isn't loud in the rain.
