I know that special feeling you were talking about with the Magna. I've had this BMW E30 ever since I was 14 and every time I get in it I'm just filled with happiness. The feel of the old leather wheel, the heavy pedals, sitting low to the ground, and the clutch that lets out of the top. It's mine, and only mine. That thing is my therapist when I get pissed or upset and I just need to go for a cruise. It's not fast at all, but it can destroy any corner I throw at it. There's just this amazing connection that I could go on and on about

When I was 19 (I'm 31 now) I crazy drunk dude put a beretta to my head and pulled the trigger, after firing several shots at my car. That the short version of the story but he did 6 months for aggravated assault. Oh he also cut my neck and busted my lip open. Short covered in blood, divorced my wife the next day. Great week. When you live in a "rural neighborhood" it's commonplace there. I had some neighbors with about 3 acres of land and they just built a backstop in their backyard and would shoot from the porch. Just another day in South-Central Pennsylvania. Not exactly smart in a suburban neighborhood but rural neighborhood is a different culture entirely.

Dan...before you start trying to create a bike from scratch, especially frame work, grab something cheap, and chop it up to modify it. Get used to how frames are made, and how to weld on things like tail sections. Once you're skills develop, move on to full builds. Last thing you want is to find out your welds werent good enough on the front end while doing 90 haha. So its like practice...but you'll still be building a bike in the end. I love that Magna...I would like to see you do some heavy mods on some boring bikes to make them awesome!

I didnt almost get shot, but my cousin and I were walking on his farm, and we came up to this house. Dude walked out on his porch with a rifle, as well as a revolver. My cousin and I hid behind a fallen tree and watched him look around. We weren't any less than 30 yards from his house. Idk why he felt that was necessary.

weird, iv had two run Ins with police that involved a gun, once when I was walking Down the road squirrel hunting( backwoods, just a couple houses around), and once just playing around in a friends backyard. both times, officer asked what I was doing and never drawed their weapons.

In the fun parts it is fairly common, especially if you grow up in the middle of nowhere hopping fences because you know farmer Jo’s field is a great short cut to get home from your buddy’s house. Lots of trespassing when I was a kid, only to use short cuts though!

In my opinion, in all of the bikes and cars Dan has had, the Magna makes Dan seem more like himself than any other. He always seems happy on Magna. The F4i, the 1000, the ZX-10R, or the Harley don't even come close to the Magna!

when you start building your bike frames you should TIG weld them. the welds will look nicer and if you do them right you wont have to grind them ans they will be stronger than MIG welds.
fun fact, in my state at least if you shoot someone in the leg it is a lesser charge than if you hit any vital organs. The things you learn as a medic.
