Starting with the exactoknife was actually a bad idea. That is your absolute sharpest knife on the table. Also that first vest was just a carrier vest, meant to insert plates. Thats why it was so cheap. No armor came with it. But you could insert actual bullet proof plates into it.
The thing to remember with modern body armour is that it's a battle of compromises. One material is good against blades, but not bullets, the other bullets, but not blades, and you're constantly trying to minimise weight and allow more freedom of movement.
Modern armor vests, carriers, and plates don't hinder your mobility like an Interceptor vest or police entry vest would. The biggest issues are concealability and breathability. Level IIIA soft vest with pockets for level IV ICW plates. Or a cocealable level IIIA soft vest and a low-vis/slick level IIIA/IV plate carrier on top. Take measures to avoid heatstroke. Beware of "cheat rings" when buying hard armor plates from overseas. Do your research. And for god's sake, DO NOT buy steel plates.
I'm glad someone finally had the courage to stand up to society and kindly suggest "I think it's time we stop stabbing each other" Even if no one else will, I support you on this Charles ✊️

There is a reason you see certain police forces, notably the Germans, using actual chain mail when dealing with criminals using knives or similar. You can even find some photos of them using a chain mail under a bulletproof vest, really cool stuff. On that note, stopping cuts is way different than stabs, that's why you see the shirt @5:40 dealing with slashes, but easily getting penetrated by a stab. That kind of shirt is used by people who work with sharp materials and could get cut a lot, but not really stabbed.
The last vest you used was a safe life level 3a+ meaning it was rated up to a 44 magnum while also being able to stop special threats like 5.7mm and knives so the vest is also bullet resistant (.22,38,9,45,357,44,5.7)are the calibers it should stop, also it has a spike rating so it would've stopped ice picks as well

my boyfriend is a mechanic and i think the cut proof t shirt is geared more towards people like that, cuz if youre constantly near sharp metal objects it is SO easy to get little holes in your clothes if theyre not a good thick material, even his hoodies get holes in them from that
5 Months Ago Charlie: "Oh and also one big shoutout to the absolute madman the maniac who suggested a couple of times to... do a bulletproof vest tier list, where we each wear bulletproof vests and then shoot each other in the chest and see which one does the less damage underneath... so who has less broken ribs." -Homie got his video, sorta...

It should be criminal to advertise and sell a “stab proof” and “bullet proof” vest that can’t even prevent a pin from going through it 💀
I can’t tell if Charlie is weak or Matt just has the power of Thor.
Charlie just didn't have to try that hard, those vests aren't that good up until you spend almost 1k.
A bit of both I'm sure. Plus Matt has some really long arms so his leverage is a lot better regardless of strength.
Edit: After being a fan of this channel for about 3 years now, I JUST realized that Matt from this channel and Andrew from the podcast are two completely different people.

The skill, swordsmanship and bravery in these young men is terrifying.
Charlie is one of the only human beings that would always look uninterested but is actually interested
These are the only videos that interest me for this channel, it is more objective then the martial art debunking channels, because it is not promoting it's own mma program.
they way Charlie yelled "hiyaaahh" when stabbing with the master sword was spot on 🤣
10:08 And this is why people who test these things always wear safety glasses.. If that thing flew into Charlie's eye its gg
Just wear both
Right
I'm glad someone finally had the courage to stand up to society and kindly suggest "I think it's time we stop stabbing each other"
Even if no one else will, I support you on this Charles ✊️

There is a reason you see certain police forces, notably the Germans, using actual chain mail when dealing with criminals using knives or similar. You can even find some photos of them using a chain mail under a bulletproof vest, really cool stuff.
On that note, stopping cuts is way different than stabs, that's why you see the shirt @5:40 dealing with slashes, but easily getting penetrated by a stab. That kind of shirt is used by people who work with sharp materials and could get cut a lot, but not really stabbed.
3:59 Lol not him sushing the bag before he stabs it. 😂
8:25 “I’m gonna go in your area”
10:16 now, I know not to use my colorful kitchen knives to stab any intruders with vests on 🧐
The last vest you used was a safe life level 3a+ meaning it was rated up to a 44 magnum while also being able to stop special threats like 5.7mm and knives so the vest is also bullet resistant (.22,38,9,45,357,44,5.7)are the calibers it should stop, also it has a spike rating so it would've stopped ice picks as well
yeah I've seen a dude stabbing it with an ice pick and it bent the pick

lol Charlie is like the six y/o being like "I'M HELPING" then dad has to move them out of the way to finish the job
my boyfriend is a mechanic and i think the cut proof t shirt is geared more towards people like that, cuz if youre constantly near sharp metal objects it is SO easy to get little holes in your clothes if theyre not a good thick material, even his hoodies get holes in them from that

Basically, the last 2 vests are safe as long as your not bring stabbed by Matt
Matt had to hit multiple times the last one, and it penetrated like an inch so it's still not a lethal wound. It's very different from just casually go through the first hit like the second last

Some vests (cheaper ones) don't try to completey stop the knife, just reduce how far in the knife goes to (hopefully) avoid a lethal injury.
