It's been somewhere six months that I 've been following Dr. Ellie dental cleaning system, my teeth are smoother and stronger and no gum recession. I stopped flossing ever since, I rinse my mouth with water after eating and then chew one Xylitol for as long as I want to. I eat and brush twice a day and use mouthwash at night or more if needed. It's good to mention using the right toothbrush is critical (look up Dr. Ellie's website), and Dr. Ellie's Xylitol is a must. It has healed my gum sensation on one molar implant.
Hi, do you know if i can have my coffee in the morning then complete system? Or should I rinse with mouthwash ( Closys) before coffee because the acidic mouth?
After drinking something acidic, I try to have a couple of sips of water, and let it swill around the mouth a bit before swallowing. This probably takes away about 90% of the damaging acidity. Also, instead of wine, I just drink a spirit like whiskey or gin mixed with water. The preservatives in wine surely kill the precious good gut bacteria.
Most water (tap and bottled) have an acidity or ph of 5-6.5. Neutral (good) is 7-7.4 alkalinity. Body Armor alkaline water has a ph of 9. Conclusion, water is still acidic and will still cause damage, but over a longer duration.
@@DakotaDS I just don't believe your claim that most tap and bottled water will cause tooth damage. I won't buy the bottled water brand you are promoting. The tap water wherever I've lived causes limescale deposits on tap spouts etc, so not only is it alkaline, but I suspect that, in a similar way, alkaline tap water contributes towards the build up of tartar. It is obvious to me that regular tap water will significantly reduce the acidic tooth eroding effect of wine.
Thank you much for the persistent efforts for us❤❤❤❤ Plz let us know the normal whitening also if you have time later!! I use baking soda and another thing but doesn't seem to be effective...😢

Hi Dr. Ellie. I Hope you explain please what is polishing that dentist always applies in my teeth before starting the cleaning process. Thank you very much.
I really like this program and have been using it for several months. However, my gums and teeth look stained and appear darker in color from all the artificial color found in the Listerine and ACT mouth washes. Is there a more natural substance to rinse with that doesn’t contain all the artificial coloring agents?
Here is how Dr. Ellie has addressed staining elsewhere: Teeth staining: “Good stains” are seen on teeth when dental disease has been rapidly controlled, when the remnants of thick plaque and harmful bacteria die off quickly. The debris collects around the tooth, often looking like a dark stain at the gum line. This stain is the sign of improved oral health, less bleeding, and a healthier mouth and gums. A dental cleaning will quickly remove this kind of staining and leave the healthier teeth pristine and white. If you do not have a cleaning within a couple of months of starting the complete system, the sudden improvement in your oral health may result in a thin band of stain forming around the edges of your teeth at the gum line. This staining is not a problem, is not permanent, and is not at all unhealthy. This stain is dead plaque debris that has shriveled up and formed a hair-like deposit around the edge of your teeth. One cleaning at the dentist will remove this band of debris. “This staining is a common problem that I have to find a way to address: 1. Are you using the Mouthwatchers brushes that I recommend? You must get away from fear of brushing too hard. It's not true and you will not do damage by brushing - you will get rid of these stains! 2. Do you let your brushes dry for 24 hours between uses? Never soak them in anything or they will get too soft. 3. Are you brushing this area of your mouth where you are seeing the stains? Aim at these areas first, when you have the most toothpaste on your brush, and before you do the gum massage, etc - this is almost always superficial debris that just takes a bit more work to remove. 4. Are you using the system 2x daily? You will get staining if more plaque forms on teeth every 12 hours during the first months - before the oral bacteria have been balanced. In the future you may be able to skip a time or two - but not in the first months. 5. Do you stop eating and drinking completely - not even water - after the xylitol at the end of meals? This allows the new healthy protective biofilm to form, and it is this biofilm that will stop your teeth from accumulation of this debris. You may also want to have a Zellies mint last thing at night before sleeping. 6. This stain is not a health problem - just no one likes a dark stain. But it is superficial debris and will brush off; just use a bit more toothpaste and some more energy on these areas. 7. IF this extra energy and toothpaste trick is NOT ENOUGH to get rid of the stain - then you are going to make a special paste for yourself - Exfoliating paste: Mix together half a teaspoon of granular xylitol with a big squeeze of the Crest Cavity Protection toothpaste. Use this exfoliating toothpaste mixture - aim at the stains first thing every morning (not during the system.…but as you get out of bed in the morning). Just target these stains with this mixture of xylitol crystals + toothpaste. In 3-4 days the staining should have disappeared completely. Then you do not need to keep using this mixture; you can go back to the normal paste as a part of the system.”
I use listerine but don't use ACT as it is not sold in my country. My gums are light pink not stained. Just use for ACT a Mouthwash with 0.05% Sodium Fluoride...I tested several some had also xylitol in it, all were at ph 7.
@@Kristina-yr6xg You would never want to end the routine with Listerine, which would leave the teeth in a very acidic state. ACT is used after Listerine to do away with Listerine's acidity; but both are needed, because the low acidity left by Listerine helps ACT to work better. (If you can't obtain ACT, then you have to do the best you can in choosing another product, and go by if you get any good results or not after a long time goes by.) By the way, it does not matter at all if some mouthwashes have xylitol in them or not because there is not enough xylitol in any of them to make any positive difference.
It's very acidic and will soften the teeth if nothing is done after consuming it. You could take xylitol immediately after, and it will immediately raise the pH of the teeth into a healthier zone.
I usually wait 30 to 60 minutes. Before work, I will usually wait two hours, and before bed, sometimes immediately after Ellies routine to twenty minutes.
Dr. Ellie says to wait about 30 minutes after the last step in her system (ACT) to have xylitol (Zellies, for instance). But that 30 minutes is to allow the ACT to work. If you are just brushing with whatever brand of toothpaste you have chosen on your own, and that's all you're doing, you can take the xylitol right after brushing
I have been following her routine for over 6 months now. Unfortunately I have to report that my teeth are more discoloured than usual. I am not sure why, but there you have it.

This was very helpful. I have been using the system for about 4 months and had a dental cleaning today. The hygienist asked what I was doing because my teeth were discolored and stained. She said it looks blue in color. She asked me if I smoked, or drank soda or wine. I said no but am using the Act mouthwash. She said the blue one and I told her no the green anti cavity one. She did a lot of cleaning and scraping but when I got home, my teeth looked a little more whiter than they’ve ever been. I think it must have been the dead plaque you are speaking of. Thanks for letting us what may have been causing the discoloration. My gum pockets have still not improved much yet.
@@Jacksonskin Make sure to brush your teeth harder with the appropriate type of toothbrush going forward, and you should not have that staining come back again. Dr. Ellie says it takes most people on average of 6 months on the system until they are no longer producing any new plaque/tartar (some less than 6 months and others up to 9 months or maybe even 12 months), so it does take a little while to get the oral bacteria naturally balanced and doing its total thing.
