found Dr Ellie at age 70. been using system for 14 months doing the full system and my teeth are now wonderful. have not gone to a dentist in over a year,, was going four times a year for cleaning and things just kept getting worse and worse,,, so trying something else was a no loose gamble and IM so glad I did so - no problems ever since.

Dear Dr Phillips: could you please help me understand how the harsh chemicals in Closys (chlorine dioxide, trisodium phosphate), Listerine (Poloxamer 407, Benzoic acid, Sodium benzoate, etc) and Crest (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Trisodium Phosphate, Sodium Phosphate, Titanium Dioxide) do not destroy biofilm but instead, based on the information you provide, help restore it thereby protecting the teeth and the gums?

I had a similar question before starting the Mouth Care System, because I avoided fluoride for many years. I took a deep dive into listening to her videos, reading her books, podcasts, etc. to find the answer. Now my teeth and gums are gorgeous, and a cavity in one tooth is filling back in. Dr Ellie’s Complete mouth Care system works better than anything I have tried or used. I am so grateful to have access to this information and to Dr Ellie.

In your xperience was it all positive or was it on occasion a struggle? After 4 weeks I now have very sensitive teeth. My teeth were sensitive before but are now worse! I'm sticking to the program as I understand the result only come in time. Perhaps it was my recent long cold, two weeks long, that has caused my tooth sensitivity i.e. Simply a very weak immune system while I'll together with less nutrients/minerals get to my mouth? Anyway, so was it all positive or have you had some ups and downs while on the program?

I have been doing Dr Elle's system for 6 months now, and I am now 70. I have periodintal disease and have lost a few teeth due to bone loss. While I'll have to get a bridge now, I have improved my gum and tooth healrh. My hygeniist said my pockets have improved or havent gotten worse. She was amazed I hadnr't flossed in 6 months as they look fine. I followed her program but wasnt using the zylitol much I thought it was just for cavities, which I never get anymore. Also I started taking too many and would get an upset stomach. This video really explained what I was doing wrong, and will be using the zylito as she reccomended Thanks so much Dr.🥰

I follow the protocol AM and PM, and xylitol throughout the day. My mouth is more moist, teeth are whiter, smoother.
I'm used to one meal a day, so this program is a breeze. I did have to stop sipping on water all day.
I also ordered a red/blue light therapy oral device and I am on methylene-blue troches- all good for the same objectives Dr. Ellie promotes.
I am supposed to schedule a cleaning for a few pockets of 4 and 5, early onset of periodontal disease- I am committed to this routine and feel certain my gums will return and bone loss will reverse.

She says after meals and acid drinks like coffee but otherwise don't eat or drink anything, I cluding Xylitol and rest the mouth and allow saliva to naturayheal the teeth and gums. Dear dr. Ellie, you mention the state of teeth, in these modern age, and the amount of fillings there are at the age of fourty.
When i was young, about the age of seven, we had a 'school-dentist'. Ot was during the seventies, eighties.
Every pupil was checked by him, at cavaties and i remembered it so well, because of the dreadfull event it was for someone of that age!
He, a chinese dentist, would come in a van, that was parked in front of our school.
He only checked us for cavaties, and there were no possibilities for an x-ray that time.
So my teeth with a cavaty he would drill out completely, and filled it all up with amalgam. At the time i left basic school, almost al my molars were filled. 😣🥺 My start was not that lucky... so i look forward to your advices; i am 55 years old now, and i still lost about only three teeth: two wisdomtooth and one old milktooth, that somehow still 'sticked around' untill it began to decay.
One accident in a fall, resulted in a broken fronttooth, that only could be fixed with a root canal treatment.
I've recently gone through a very stressfull period in my life, which had a tremendous backfire on the state of my teeth and mouth..
But i am really determend to keep my teeth in there, and mouth as healthy as possible! That's why i am watching your video's, in the hope i can save them all! Thanks for sharing your knowledge over here! ❤🙏🏻😁

Haha - I am working on a routine, and will let you know as I have the routine perfected :)
Even in my mid 70s I don't want to give up on my skin.
I know that the skin microbiome is similar to the oral microbiome - so i actually use xylitol granules in my skin routine.
I use a few drops of sea buckthorn oil and add a few granular xylitol crystals - which I massage lightly into my skin.
Then I blot with warm water, and then gently dab away the xylitol crystals with a face cloth - trying to leave dissolved xylitol and sea buckthorn oil on my skin. i finish with Kiehl's Ultra Facial cream ( Squalane and glycoprotein) for the daytime and Kiehl's Midnight Recovery oil which I kind of press into my face before bed at night ...and that's it :)
You should find all those things on Amazon....maybe I should put some links on the Amazon page on my DrEllie.com website haha :)

I have been using Dr. Ellie’s system for almost a year now with dramatic positive results. I had specifically gum health issues, around two implants. Receding gums and puffy, bleeding gums. No matter how many cleanings I did with my dentist and brushing my teeth multiple times per day, this condition went on for years and I never saw any improvement. My dentist never offered any other suggestions other than to send me to a specialist. It was depressing and costly. I started Dr. Ellie’s treatment on a whim cause I figured I have nothing to lose and all the items cost under $50. Writhing 2 weeks I noticed a difference in my gums, less squishy & puffy. I was pleasantly surprised and continued on. More dramatic results ensued within 6 weeks, and now months later, my gums have tightened up, no longer receding and I think have begun to grow. The color is perfectly pink and my teeth have gotten whiter. How do you explain this other than following her regime? I have not changed anything else in my diet or lifestyle. I whole heartedly recommend the complete mouth care system prescribed by Dr. Ellie. Shame on all those dentists who offer false hope, took lots of patients money and never considered for a second another natural alternative to cleanings. Thank god for Dr. Ellie’s wisdom!

I've held a very public position on Fluoride since 1984.
After following the guidelines of dental school, I realized that I had poisoned my oldest three children by giving them excess fluoride as babies - creating a condition known as fluorosis in their teeth and thyroid issues that were obvious.
Since then I have fought to educate parents about the dangers of consuming fluoride under the age of 6. Adults need to know that fluoride is found in high concentrations in tea of all kinds, raisins, wine and grapes for example.
For this reason I do not drink iced tea.
I have also championed for the conclusion of artificial water fluoridation here in my home of Austin - challenging the local dental society as to why they showed pictures of a diseased mouth - a condition called early childhood caries - during this debate. Fluoride does not stop dental disease.
So yes - people need help to learn about safe levels of consumption.
On the other hand, topical application for adults and children (old enough to spit out) can protect them from the need for plastic sealants and toxic white fillings and all the dangers of dental work.
This is why we have to consider how to use the correct compounds, in correct concentration and use it topically.
As for xylitol - xylitol is MADE in our body - 15 grams every day.
Xylitol is a unique pentose health sugar that feeds healthy bacteria in the mouth and creates butyrate in the gut.
      I love xylitol.
But one recent study - funded by a private equity group creating a competitive product - caused the first ever negative press - which was not only inaccurate but totally flawed. Xylitol has been handed out in preschool in Finland and other countries for over 60 years - and they do not have any higher rates of CVD or cancer - but are very healthy adults.
You will like perhaps to read the new second edition of my book Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye - in bookstores and online on January 28th 2025 - you should be able to preorder now. It covers all these topics and much more. Thanks for your interest.

If you use the mints each one has 0.5 gram ; she recommends taking 6-10 grams per day of xylitol that means you should take between 12 mints to 20 mints per day. She also recommends spreading throughout the day. I have seen people say “ strive for five” you could take 2 mints five times a day + 2 mints before bed. I prefer to to take 4 mints 3 times a day- sometimes I take 4 mints 4 times a day- but that’s just me and I can’t remember if she recommended this way or not but that’s just easier for me. If you don’t want your mints to be finished faster you could use xylitol granules in packets and mix between them.some people use the mints outside the home and xylitol packets o inside the home . The companies the she recommends for xylitol packets are shown in this video. She loves xylitol granules in packets because I think it’s user friendly! Each packets has 6 grams of xylitol granules in it . But certainly I have seen people buy 5 kg xylitol granules and use measuring spoon because to much xylitol in one setting send some people to bathroom.

Xylitol - mints or gum like Zellies come in multiple flavors and will deal with plaque - better than anything.
The key is to have one or two mints or gum AFTER meals - and beg him to give the xylitol an hour after taking it without eating and drinking.
Second idea is to rinse with a dilute 0.05% sodium fluoride rinse like ACT twice a day - after breakfast and right before sleeping at night.
Again - do not eat or drink after rinsing with the ACT.
The combination works synergistically and will speed the mineralizing effects - to keep his teeth safe.

    • @dr.elliephillips
      @dr.elliephillips  16 днів тому +3

I do not recommend getting wisdom teeth extracted.
If you are using my system they should stay really healthy if you include them in your brushing/rinsing/xylitol routine.
Even if they look malpositioned a lot of bone growth WILL occur between 10 and 35
Today I would recommend waiting until you are older if your mouth is healthy and try to get them to erupt.
Here is a famous article (hotly debated in dental circles) about the unnecessary "prophylactic" extraction of wisdom teeth:
      pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC1963310/
The key is to keep these teeth at the back healthy - which is impossible with flossing or only brushing.
The value of wisdom teeth is that your lower jaw WILL grow if the tooth remains in the bone.
A wider lower jaw will mean a wider upper jaw growth to follow this - and then you grow naturally wider sinus cavities in your upper maxilla bones. This helps breathing, nitric oxide production and is a health benefit as you age.
Using my system of care is a game changer.....DrEllie.com

There is some body absorption of fluoride even when brushing and rinsing, so too dangerous for me.

    • @MrMiaumee
      @MrMiaumee 17 днів тому +3

It's good that things are working for you. But do know that you're cherrypicking and not following her system. It's the dose that makes the poison and fluoride at this concentration is not harmful even when absorbed. The toothpaste you're using may not have added remineralization effect and is very different from the sodium fluoride + silica combination she recommends. She also mentioned that baking soda has the possibility of eroding your enamel and gum because of its abrasiveness. She did mentioned the importance of maintaining the oral pH around 7.4, but that's not the same as following an alkaline diet (which has its own problems).
As always, we're free to do what we think is the best for us, but always do so in an informed way while being open to truths that are hard to accept.

    • @fabianasensio1168
      @fabianasensio1168 17 днів тому +1

@MrMiaumee thanks..from what I have researched, bsking soda is not abrasive, and you are saying it's safe , the fluoride, but you don't really know that long term. In the old days, nobody had fluoride, and they did just fine with oral health, so I am not buying that. And a primarily alkaline diet, which simply really means more veggies and many fruits, doesn't have issues, it is responsible for the body being able to geal itself from anything. I have a friend who had stage four cancer that had mastastizied into bones and jaw, he could barely eat. Alkaline and many supplements and he is much much better. I appreciate dr. Ellie, but as we have seen with the insane clot shots, we should never just take any doctors word for things and must do appropriate research. You can call that "cherry

If I may add a comment, there are studies on Pubmed connecting xylitol ingestion with some issues, but not appendicitis. I think that people should not invest xylitol regularly and in large quantities. Appendicitis usually stems from a congested digestive system. Swishing with xylitol should be absolutely fine. Dr Ellie’s program is excellent. Andrew Huberman At Huberman lab mentioned her as very good at what she does.

I'm not saying it's her fault or the systems fault... I rece rly started with it.. with the gum.. but I was also having the sugar kind with my yogurt..
I asked, because there is not enough info about this, but yes, I read that Xylitol can cause some problems in the gut if done too much or too quickly..
      Maybe that was the problem?
And. What do you mean with congested digestive system?

JJ covid vaccine had a high incidence of appendectomy. My daughter was one of the unfortunate victims.

@@drewblack749 This is not true -- there were several cases, but no causal effect could be determined. At the same time, a COVID infection definitely caused an increase in GI problems, including related to appendix. Given the virus' insidious effects, this makes sense.

@@Jshsoi Xylitol has been a baking sugar used by diabetics for over 100 years.
It is beneficial for gut bacteria - and has been widely endorsed by nutritional experts.
Our body MAKES 15 grams of xylitol each day - naturally.
Here is a link to a very old cooking book developed by a nutritionalist - just to show you how commonplace this product is in the world outside mainstream America:
      www.amazon.com/Sweeten-Your-Life-Xylitol-Way/dp/0974604526
NowI'm not recommending this use as a baking sugar - its out of my realm - but I know it has been a safely used baking sugar used in many countries - including the UK during WWII and the only results they discovered were delightful and beneficial.

Would please do mints without any flavour? Although I LOVE mint and cherry berry flavours from your company; I want sometimes to eat xylitol without any flavour!and I could do that by using xylitol packet and dividing it throughout the day. However ,i get easily triggered by not knowing how much I consumed unlike the mints 😂

Im so Afraid to use xylitol, because I have dogs ( I love to kiss them) at home and it is fatal if they ingest even the tiniest bit of it.
