Almost got the metro weekender but was on the fence on whether it would work as a personal item internationally cuz I do a lot of international travel. But after watching your video on the metro duffel and weekender I got the clarity i needed and got the duffel asap cuz sometimes international airports can be a pain with personal items and sizes so save myself the headache of paying a lot for the bag and not being able to use it as a personal item. I received my duffle today. The green is gorgeous! The zippers are difficult, all of them. Zippers are a dealbreaker for me, so I’m going to return this bag. I’m disappointed.

I have this in ivory. I have the folio kit which is slimmer. I attach the smaller snap on bag to the seat pocket on the plane in front of me. I have quick access to everything I need!

I am really thinking of getting the monos carry on & the duffel or backpack for personal item. I think you had mentioned that the duffel would not work for international flights for underseat, I’m assuming the backpack would be ok since it’s smaller & could smoosh a bit maybe. Lol prob won’t need the international until fall of 2025 but I like to plan lol! That is partly why i’m leaning toward the monos carry on for suitcase is because it covers so many airlines:)

I think it technically doesn’t fit in the sizer for the personal item, but it fits under the seat fine so I’m not sure what to think about that. I never had any problems travelling with it. I now use it for work, and use the monos backpack for travelling

It’s been a great durable bag! I use it mostly for road trips/overnights vs plane travel though. (My international flights don’t usually allow such a big personal item)

Loving all your videos! We have always been an ebag motherlode family but as i get older, the bags hurt as full as we pack them. We NEVER check bags either and mostly travel for 2-3 weeks at a time. That being said… Monos duffel vs the nomad lane v4? Would love thoughts on one over the other.

Hello. I dont. It’s on my list of companies to reach out to, but I’m not doing carry on size backpacks anymore, just personal item backpacks. (My back can’t handle “backpacking” anymore and there’s so many amazing backpacker channels out there!)
I travel often with my 35 litre Allpa and find the frame size fits me perfectly as a 5'4" female, very comfortable if you do not carry too much heavy tech. But I'd stay away from the Del Dia unless you see it in person at a store as the fabric is so much lighter / flimsy ... happy travels!

I’ve never flown them, but my general rule is “if it’s ok with 2 of the dimensions but not a third, it should be ok”… especially if it’s squishy :) just try not to over pack it

Yes this is an old video and I do that a lot now. However, this bag doesn’t open very wide, so detail shots of the inside is pretty difficult regardless :)

A bit off topic but I was wondering if you have videos or tips for souvenirs with only carry on. I'm a carry on only girl myself (even fit my mom and my stuff for a week in 1 carry on) however sometimes part of me wants to bring a check in bag especially because i buy gifts and souvenirs for myself and family and friends. I often am concerned about fitting things or even carrying food item gifts home that don't meet the liquids requirements or taking something bulkier home if I see something for a family member or friend... what are your thoughts or a video link you have that answers that question love your videos and content ❤
I don’t have a video like that. But I have some experience. Most of my souvenirs are apparel, jewelry, or small things. I always leave a little bit of room. One thing I do is pack snacks and then once I eat them, it gives me room for souvenirs haha

Like a large carry on hard/soft? I don’t think that exists unless it’s a carry on backpack. You could always do a large personal item duffel like this or the underseat pro or the nomad lane bento bag and those have trolley sleeves. Or I need to teach you how to pack lighter 💕

That's the only one that I have found so far that has the trolley sleeve and has rollers that I could pull behind me when I don't have my checked bag with me at the same time. I was hoping you had compared some others that were similar to this idea. I have to feel like older folks have run into this problem before me.🤷🏻♀️ Maybe it's a video idea? I don't know but I sure appreciate your videos and your help!💕

Trying to decide between the duffel or backpack as personal item …Using along with carry on for carry on European trip with group…can only have one luggage and one personal item on bus that can fit in bus overhead bin.
I do too, but I find myself mainly using this size for more of a road trip/ overnight, where I don’t have to carry it far. If I used it for plane travel, I’d have it with my carry on, and use the trolley sleeve, so I don’t have to carry it then either!

I bought the vegan one, while it looks good it’s not practical. This bag is also unbelievably heavy empty and super heavy when you even barely fill it. It’s also hard to get in and out of, the opening isn’t great. While I like the style, the bag needs improvement. Also there are no metal feet on this bag. Pros, it looks good and is stylish, but it’s a major issue to carry.

Usually the duffel will be too big for european personal item standards. So check on that :)

I want to know how this fits under an airplane seat.

I bought the vegan one, while it looks good it’s not practical. This bag is also unbelievably heavy empty and super heavy when you even barely fill it. It’s also hard to get in and out of, the opening isn’t great. While I like the style, the bag needs improvement. Also there are no metal feet on this bag. Pros, it looks good and is stylish, but it’s a major issue to carry.

The front pocket is where I keep my phone, and if I bring my water bottle, there are two water bottle pockets inside.
