I purchased the exact Metro Duffle and a Carry -on Pro. Not really all that impressed. I love the quality and we purchased this for a 2-week Mexico trip. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to use it before that trip. The Carry-on Pro looks amazing. That said, that zippered compartment that looks so handy really isnt. If you put anything in it much at all, its really hard to close. Even with Monos Compression packing cubes, it doesnt hold much. and yes, I also purchased the packing cubes. The Metro duffle, looks amazing. I love the Folio attachement. The actual duffle, however, not so much. That soft electronics pouch, is baggy and even when secured with the strap fasten, it protrudes into the body of the duffle. This means you constantly have to push it out of the way. The other thing that Im concerned about, with the duffle, is the larger size. At the time of purchase it wasnt a concern. I was hoping to use these two pieces as a set. That said, the duffle which would be the personal article does NOT MEET TSA requirements and now, with the increase in lost luggage, more people are opting to use a carry -on system only. So they care cracking down. So, to close, that two week trip we are taking to Mexico, I am using a London Fog carry-on and a small Amazon Back-pack from Lovevook, that this retired nurse used as a work bag. Monos, you stuff looks pretty, but design flaws are an issue. Compression packing cubes from Monos....absolutely YES. I am sure their checked bags are great too, and maybe the Carry-on Plus. But again, its over TSA regulation size. Im not taking a carry-on to be forced to sky check it. So Monos, if your reading this....make your personal articles, regulation size and your carry-ons regulation size.

I purchased some Monos items after watching a ton of video reviews, including yours. I went with the terracotta medium check luggage, terracotta carry on pro-plus and Metro backpack. I haven’t used the luggage yet but I did use the backpack and with the regular pouch it did not fit under the plane seat. But I was able to remove it and it was fine. I might get the more slim case. And I love the monochromatic look of the terracota and mahogany. Overall, a great investment…
just got a carry on a few months ago and really love it so far. I have been debating about this as my personal item which I usually use for things like iPad, travel speaker, cable kit and other random things. Also I like to be able to have something for when I buy things on my travel and can fit them in my carry on and I think this might be perfect. You don't think this with the small carry on would be too much?

So I have a monos carry on and the duffle (new version) for my partner. I just ordered the white cary on for myself (I know white but I could not resist) and am thinking about a duffle or backpack. i am wondering how useful the folio attachment is. I was thinking this would be perfect for two pairs of air pods, a battery bank, a few cables a wall plug, pens and a a few other other things. What I am unclear of is what fits in the zipper areas?
They literally just redesigned this bag 2 weeks ago, what do you think of the new metro duffel??? They removed the magnets from the bag and placed a flap on the classic pouch with a magnet instead which slides through to attach to a panel on the bag now. I’m on the fence…I just purchased the original version like yours off eBay but contemplating selling it for the new one but still not sure…I love the sound of the magnets of the original and it’s fun to take off and on lol however new version looks better when pouch isn’t attached.
@@terrybuysstuff The old design is a dud. I purchased one, and only had the chance to use it about 3 months later. The soft pouch for the electronics is loose and baggy, even when closed with the velcro strap. This means your electronics or the empty compartment, hang into the remainder of the duffle space and your constantly pushing them out of the way . The folio, aka the magnet attached pouch, is the one thing I did like. The trip we puchased this bag for, is happening in three days. Monos your staying home. I am using the folio in my usual well-organized personal article that is regulation size. Thats another issue. With more people taking carry-on luggage, airlines are getting more strict and the Monos Metro duffle is not regulation size for a personal article.
I hate to Complain lol but I wish monos would make more bright or highlighter colors . Like a bright magenta or Barbie pink ! It reminds me of apple who sticks to like reserved colors . I love monos design hands down . Thanks for the review !
Do you think my 15 inches wide laptop would fit with easy entry and pullout? I know it should in theory but I’m worried about struggling to shimmy it into the bag since the zipper doesn’t allow the bag’s mouth to open wide.
I think it would fit as long as you don’t over stuff the duffel. If you over stuff it you’re definitely gonna struggle and then I would leave it somewhere easily accessible that you can put it in its right place after you get through TSA.

Absolutely!! Wear the jeans and you can bring additional pants and 2 shirts, etc.

Well they are known as the "Apple of luggage". They purposely select the colors. to make their products unisex.

and the monochrome is a little off with the terra cotta suitcase. I still do it because the backpack in mahogany is so rich looking. It’s my favorite.
