Slim - Today I'm an old guy with physical limitations. I want you to know that your videos are a windows into the past recollections of my own youthful exploits. The love of scenic lakes, nature, rocks, animals and the elements make an old heart sing with the memories. Thank You!
I am an old girl with spinal limitations. We can live vicariously through Slim. I hiked, camped, fished, hunted for many years. I was a Paramedic. You pick up a gurney wrong one too many times and you become the patient. Seven back surgeries later.....I'm watching Slim, and enjoying every minute. Take care of that back Slim. Listen closely to your body. God Bless you. 😊
If you like these types of videos, I can recommend Stan Mills. Stan Mills is the channel name too. He does hikes in, and near, Yellowstone during all 4 seasons. Lots of great wildlife and scenery videos.
I am so envious, having a morning coffee on a quiet lake appreciating an awesome view vs getting on the computer or TV to watch the bad news of the day. Seeing the true majesty and beauty of nature through your eyes, inspires hope in pretty dismal times.
Thank you Slim. We loved this video (and all your others). A year ago we drove from our home in upstate NY to Alaska by way of the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone into Cananda and enjoyed beautiful Banff & Jasper National Parks. We then ventured up to the Alaska Highway driving into the Yukon which we absolutely fell in love with. All in all, it was the most memorable and amazing journey. Your video today brought back such beautiful feelings. Thank you soo much for all of your fantastic videos. Jenn & Brad
Your videos always have such beautiful scenery. Your camera work is impeccable, and there’s plenty of quiet, not constant chatter. It makes your vids so peaceful.
I am so glad my occupation is 100% outdoors...chasing bees and admiring nature is my life's work and passion...your adventures are inspiring to do even more...Take good care of yourself Slim
I love bees, tried to save a big one who couldn’t fly..I have him some sugar water but after 3 days he wasn’t getting any better, a web site said let nature take its course so I put him in a flower pot and the next day he was gone❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh Slim, that is the most beautiful place to have breakfast. You know, when you're camping and you start the morning outdoors, the whole day seems lovely. EVEN if it's raining. Your videos encourage me greatly. Thank you.
Beautiful, peaceful video as usual. You are the master of photo shots and angles. Your eyes allow us to see things we might not otherwise see. Your talent to do that is not surpassed. Thank you for taking us along. Your videos are always so enjoyable and calming. Be well and safe travels!
Slim. Your ability to make visible poetry out of lichen on a rock, or a bug on a flower or water gurgling over some rocks is astonding! Of particular interest is the fact that I was born and raised in your home area and your many of your adventures are ones I'm very familiar with. Having spent some eight decades since my beginning in the Calgary area, and now residing in the great nation to the south, my wife and I receive great pleasure and so much enjoy traveling with you and enjoying your creativity from the comfort of our recliners. Many thanks for sharing yourself and your talents with the world. Ed and Margaret.
Thank you Slim. 109 in Tucson today, 113 in Phoenix. Just another day in a long string of over 105 degree days with no monsoons. You took us on a wonderfully cool, rainy trip and it is very much appreciated.
Slim, you are a poet. Thank you for the scenery and the hike, thank you for reminding me that there are things we can do. Focusing on the negative is easier than finding the positive.
Slim, you are truly one of a kind. Your videos appeal to all my senses and your beautiful positive spirit is therapeutic leaving one feeling great. Thanks and keep them coming 😊☺️
Absolutely gorgeous, I've always wanted to go to BC, and now thanks to you Slim you took me there. If you think about it it was a pretty grueling hike for you, because you had to go back and forth for the cameras and thank you for doing. Awesome thanks Slim!
I am always in awe and wonder with all the unseen sites BC offers. Thank you for all you do to bring them to me and all those on UA-cam that care to view it.
@@johnt5652 Don't wait until you're too old...... then, like me, be saying, oh I wish I had done this, that and something else when I was younger! Old age, with all its multiple discomforts, seems to arrive suddenly, then all those things that you promised yourself you would do later, or when you are older, suddenly become difficult or impossible. It is a terrible, horrible thing to have regrets, but not be able to turn back the clock and be young again. Time goes much, much quicker than you expect when you are young. Seize the day! No excuses, get on and live your life.....NOW! 🙂 Good luck, enjoy your life....
Beautiful video, Slim. I love going to places where you get to go, watching from the safety of my home, waiting until the powers that be ok us to travel again. In the meantime, the beauty of the B.C. and Yukon, and all the places you go to make it bearable. Keep on trucking, my friend.
I appreciate Slim letting us know where he was for this fine little video. Slim's video gives me inspiration to some day go see this lake too. Once again, I can not imagine the low mentality of anyone who would stop by to give Slim's videos with such wonderful nature a thumbs down. That's right up there with discussing politics of the pandemic in the comment section in my little book of asinine and foolish behaviors.
Hello Slim Potatos, good Morning, Cuando veo uno de sus videos, siempre llevo una agradable sorpresa, vemos Naturaleza Viva, Thanks. Saludos cordiales, que disfrute de un buen Domingo.
Thank you for another great video. Kayaks are easily learned. Get an inexpensive recreational kayak, life jacket and start out on calm water. It is best not to do that alone though. Thanks for taking us along. Safe travels.
That hike with the rewarding views at the top was a part I just had to rewatch. I appreciate your closer look at the colorful lichen, too. One must look close and far to appreciate it. I, too, get upset when I see evidence of people so out of touch with nature. It tells me that they are out of touch with being human as well. Great adventure. Take care.
Wow...I've seen some beautiful art on rocks....but now I see it in a different light.... Your videos show your love of nature......and I always eagerly wait the next one... Keep going and be safe....and thanks for the light
One thing about a trail that goes up and up is it goes down and down on the way back. A pair of walking sticks would come in handy for the return trip however, you would need a 3rd arm for the camera. If you grow a 3rd arm be sure to vlog it 😉
Wow, what a fun trip with you. I'm old & limited in my mobility. Your travels to these magnificent camp sites, with your skilled camerawork makes me feel like I'm there. I appreciate the effort & laborious camera placements, to get the establishing shots. The photography is so lifelike. Thank you
Fantastic. Thank you sir for sharing your life with me. I am a 76yr. old Canadian I also travel all over Canada in my mobile tent.Your videos are amazing.
LUV ATLIN...I SPENT 3 DAYS THERE WITH MY DAUGHTER AND HER YOUNG DAUGHTER BACK IN 2011..FOR THE ANNUAL ATLIN MUSIC FESTIVAL....WONNNNDERFULLLLL..THNX SLIM...LUV ALL YOUR FINE VIDEOS!!!
One minute in and an incredible reveal. And it's great throughout. Thanks, Slim. Hope once all the health concern has passed we can trade countries and I can see all that great wilderness, too. Wouldn't be the first time you've led the way to me finding fantastic camp sites.
Thank you Slim for your share. Yes how right you are about the artistry of the state of nature. The colors on those rocks with lichen just beautiful. Is there Slim, anything more gorgeous than B.C? We love it here as we live in the Southern part, but the city in the Valley that you showed us, and those mountains, I honestly wouldn't want to leave if I got there. The breakfast scenery was a knockout. I watched it twice through because of the whole videos beauty. Thank you so much from Colin and I. We truly appreciate your photography and we are grateful for you. Carolyn and Colin Hogarth BC Canada.
Just thoroughly enjoyed watching this whilst having my lunch break. I am most envious of you and the beautiful places you travel to and enjoy. Please keep safe and keep up the good work. David in the UK.
I love your views on camping, nature and the respect for it. Also your relaxing style in which you of the content you present. It helps me disconnect from the pandemic if only for a short video. Thank you Slim Your definitely an essential worker in my book!
Hi SP. I never miss one of your videos. Thank you for enriching my life, yet again. I do love BC. I miss your visits to the States and when you share delightful historical stories I never heard of before. Will be glad to see you back down south. Stay well, SP.
That was absolutely incredible mind-blowing beauty! Thank you for sharing the beauty of this world that I would otherwise never see. You have an outstanding talent to catch nature at its best. You've been to places that I can only dream about. Once again I am amazed by your incredible life. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁

Great video Slim! Thanks for taking us along on your adventure! Non-natural graffiti in the wilderness is the worst. Second to that is stacking rocks. I've been to places where I've knocked over more than 100 piles of rocks, all within 40' of each other. If they don't mark a mining claim corner, or a trail, they don't belong.
I'm with you on the rocks. Cairns and real trail markers are important to hikers. Those you randomly stack rocks could put hikers lives at risk if they take a wrong turn. SP

Slim, I’ve watched and enjoyed your travels throughout North America for a few years, but I have to say how pleased I was to watch you hiking in my very own playground (Yukon that is, but Atlin is still in the hiking neighborhood). So glad you were able to hike and enjoy the incredible vistas of our beautiful north.. north of ordinary.
Coffee and words of wisdom with Slim Wishing I was already out getting back in shape. It doesn’t take long after being away from exploring like your hike on this. Thanks for encouraging. You do such excellent filming , editing and calm way of talking while describing your adventures. Just don’t enjoy watching a lot of campers that constantly show tourists places and always the food pics at restaurants. Thanks for sharing the absolutely beautiful video
You sir is just like a scandinavian, desent coffee in the morning, talented behavior, we just do not eat pancakes with syrup, just a couple of pieces of bread, ham and chesse, perhaps an egg or two, a glass of juice, other than that, you would just fit in right away, the best to you sir...always
Slim, watching your videos makes me wish I wasn't at the three quarter century mark and health compromised. Some beautiful places you have been and so glad you share them on video. Thanks.
Glad that your back improved enough that you could complete the hike. Health can be fragile, so take could care of yourself. Love that you took us to such a beautiful location ... thanks for sharing the beauty... and that pancake made me hungry 🙂
Welcome!! I raised my family in southern AB and I moved here to Whitehorse in April 2019. i am ecstatic that you have brought your camera up here. Enjoy!

Just want to say thank you Slim for all the hard work you do to bring us great quality videos with spectacular views I feel like I'm right their with you besafe in your travels!!!!
Just hearing you say Alaska Highway and the Yukon makes me want to go back! We traveled there three years ago. Your right, not much to do this year...but we can camp . I have been out on 6 times this year. Perfect social distancing activity. We have a small trailer also, have our own bed , food, and bathroom. I LOVE being on the road going to interesting and beautiful places.
This guy is straight-up awesome. Am I right or what?
