The shot of the Llewellyn ice field looked like a watercolour painting!! You have such a way with photography, videography and commentary. Thanks for sharing.
Some of the compositions in this vid are staggering ! You've got a great eye for photography and videography. Stunning... and thanks for not allowing adverts every 3 minutes.... much appreciated.... all the best....J
Hi from Pennsylvania on Lake Erie I’m 75 & live in a Senior Citizen apartment building on the top floor so I very much enjoy & appreciate your excellent photography Your narrative of each scene is music to my old ears Thank You 🙏
Slim, your ever-excellent “eye” for beauty was certainly on in this video. The ending video brought literal tears to my eyes. I so want to see that beauty in person. But, am SO grateful to experience it through your videos. Thanks for the Birdseye view of your adventures. Loved your all-in-one skillet of food! I cook a lot like that, as well. It’s just so good with lots of great vegetables and whatever else. ❤️❤️❤️
I don’t pine for a bigger house, fancy clothes, or an expensive car. What I long for is to sit in a forest, marvel at the wonders of creation, to gaze at majestic mountains, smell the fragrance of pine needles under my feet, and try (and fail miserably) to count the millions of stars in the night sky. Thank you Slim for reminding me, in my urban existence, that all these things are still possible.
Hey Slim, thanks for keeping my depression at bay. It is too hot to ride the trails here in California, but its great when i can come home to air conditioning and watch your videos. Thanks buddy.
Yes it is. Cant go wrong with slim. You make tuesdays great. Knowing that youre out there enjoying the beauty of this world makes me smile because i know ill be abke to be apart of the journey figuratively speaking. Thanks slim

I almost felt like i was watching "Wild Kingdom" .."Brought to you by the Mutual of Omaha"...your voice kinda sounds like Marlin Perkins....the eagle in the tree and you describing it, was like Deja vu ...great vids Slim, one of my favorite travelers to watch now.
That little town of Atlin Slim is ever so priceless. What a beautiful area and thank you so much for sharing your experience. I watched it on my break today and I have to say, it brings joy to my heart when I see that peaceful Village with people living in a little community surrounded by such a State of Nature. Ever so sweet in Canada. No one will ever know how precious our country is until they travel to all the northern places with it's beauty as a people, as an environment, as a Nature filled with such mysteries and miracles, like the mosquitoes and their flowered home. Manitoba could use that for their mosquitoes. Thank U Slim. Keep up the great work, and your photography is so wonderful. Thank you for that too...CDH
@@SarahGraymatter I have only recently discovered Slim, and I'm hooked! Slowly working my way through his video's from the start. His picture and filmography is amazing. I am also just about to build my own camper and his tips and tricks are invaluable.
It's so easy to forget that because you're by yourself, you have to walk up, back down, up again, etc. to place the camera. Just another one of many awe inspiring videos.
The water cress, the clear water from the grotto, the sound of water, all the green... mesmerizing, hypnotizing. I can't imagine the effect If I was there for real ...
Dr Slim. giving us our weekly dose of calm and quiet. the colors are incredible! Love to hear the loons. these videos in this crazy time are the perfect antidote to city dwelling depression. thanks so much.
I rarely comment on UA-cam but I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your channel. After discovering it a few weeks ago, I've been binge-watching and have gotten a tremendous amount of enjoyment and happiness from the experience. I also want to commend your increasing skills in both cinematography and writing. You were always good but you're taking everything to the next level. The framing of your shots has become excellent with interesting details visible but not crowding out the overall subject. Also, your writing is poetic without being pretentious. After viewing your channel I'm really considering dipping my toes into the camping lifestyle -something I wouldn't have seriously considered before. Keep up the good work!

Dear Slim, your Atlin vide couldn't have been more welcome and timely. Yours is the only video I've seen that covers all features. I recently met a gal and her brother, here in Vancouver, who are from Atlin. She is my brother's girlfriend. He resides near Whitehorse. Moreover, I visited Atlin when I was in Whitehorse in 1967. I always yearned to return, now I have a good reason(s). I remember the great mountain and crystal clear lake at 4 o'clock in the morning. The memory has always been with me. Cheers, Leon
Slim.....WOW! SO many of your videos, your travels, just everything soothes my soul. I am so thankful I come across your channel a couple years ago. You, my friend, are an amazing person! Oh, next time you make it towards Kansas, please tell me! I'll bring some local brews and veggies for dinner, you just tell your story!!
Thank you for keeping my inner soul at peace with your videos. Your eye and appreciation for what's commonly called natural landscape is stunning. No flash or neon dazzle just soothing beauty often overlooked by so many. A heartfelt thank you from me to you.
I've always liked your videos Slim, but I think they have become more valuable, more satisfying, and more meditative as you share your solitude with all the friends you may never meet. Thank you so very much for sharing your rambles on down the highway with us!
The new van with that awning/rain cover is great - just gives you the opportunity to sit outside in the rain and drink in some fresh air rather than just exhaling condensation inside the A-frame all day.
What a great video lots of wildlife and a great shot of the bald eagle. What a majestic bird. Wow slim really pumped out another 10 on this video Jim and Cheryl saying nice work.
8:12 WOW. Normally videos/ pictures have a hard time conveying how spectacular some scenes are. I think that shot is PERFECT. I can only imagine what that looks like in real life. Looks like im adding Atlin to the list of destinations.
OMG. The high was 45° and low 32 ° in Atlin. That is artic weather for us here in Southern California. The gloves and heavy jackets come out. But it's well worth it in that gorgeous, lush country. A paradise on earth.
Needed this video today after dealing with the stress of everyday life. Shouldn't have let it get to me but it happens thanks for the video to help me relax
I saw the Chief Dan George quote on the side of the building in Atlin, I had always thought he was from the US. He was the most memorable character in The Outlaw Josie Wales, a Clint Eastwood vehicle in which the Chief built a role with insight, irony and humor that outshined anyone else in what was a very good movie. Good catch, Slim. It looks like a town that an old guy like me could live in.
Best camping days... bird calls (especially those of the loons) s, spotting an eagle or two and eating a hot meal right out of the cast iron frying pan! I enjoy your videos very much! Thank you for sharing your adventures. ~ Maria

Beautiful video!! I do some of my traveling by bicycle. Ten years ago I did a two week self supported trip in Alaska which included riding to Wonder Lake in the back of Denali National Park. While there I took in a lecture from one of the park rangers about mosquitoes. One of the things I learned is that naturally there are no bees that far North. I’m sure it’s the same in the Yukon and Northern BC. Male mosquitoes are the pollinators up there. Hence your capturing them on the flowers.

That pull-down awning has brought me so much pleasure! So relaxing to see you go and sit down with a drink, and calmly survey the wondrous views. Thanks for the thrilling sound of the loons, and beautiful sunset shots.
wow...........just........wow. What an amazing place. I know a lady who is a painter and does this scenery. They had a cabin up at Atlin and talked about it often. I can see why she was so taken with the beauty and inspiration of that area. You are so talented yourself with the photography and commentary. Thank you as always for what you bring to us each time. Thank you for your videos and your insights on nature and boondocking. We look forward to each and every one, especially now that we are having to stay close to home. We are enjoying seeing the beauty of Canada as well!
Lovely indeed, wishing I had the words as you do, to go with my views on British Columbia trips! I've been to Atlin twice in my life so far, and hope to go again one day. The first time was over 30 years ago, on a return trip from Inuvik (Northwest Territories) as well as a tour through Alaska, with an older couple I had known for years. Our trip to Atlin was on purpose, as my old friend (who's now passed on) wanted to do some moose hunting, of which my wife & I had never done before, so it was truly a blessing, to see the wildlife in the area as well. We drove the Fourth of July road on a 4X4 path into Glady's Lake...stayed a week, and got our moose! I can still remember coming over a rise, and seeing Dahl sheep on the roadway, which fortunately where not all that scared of us, as they just walked rather slowly in front of us, eventually moving off into the wilderness. That trip made for lifelong memories, long before wifi or cellphones for that matter, and we still made out just fine. One evening a skunk came in through the night, and chewed a hole in our water jug, but other than that, we had no problems at all, just wonderful memories with great friends. Thanks for the video Slim, as nature truly wakes us up to the beauty British Columbia has in reserve.
Good morning! It’s always a good day with Slim. Your videos are so nice, informative, and they come with delightful scenes of you and your Egg Camper. Thanks for the armchair travel.
i grew up near Canada in Minnesota. Ur recent videos remind me of why i moved to AZ. Did a lot camping in my younger days... in the rain and snow .. glad im here.. thanks for your videos
This is one of my favorite videos from you, for a variety of reasons. First, the phone booths. I started in the telephone business in 1979 when pay phones and phone booths were common, and the internet and cell phones didn't exist. I had quite a laugh when the town you visited had neither! I live in Minnesota and the loon is our state bird, so I really appreciated that part of the video. Wonderful video and pictures, which makes me want to camp where you were, but our border is shut down for the time being. Keep on producing such great videos!
Water cress just loves fresh clear and above all clean spring water. I would have had some lovely soup had I been there. I'll forgive your cooking skills because of the beauty. thanks.

What a beautiful video! I'm not good with words, so I will just say that @Judy Abernathy captured my thoughts and feelings, down to the cooking! Thank so much Slim, for sharing with us.
