Something to consider with Hydraulics, I have seen it, the suction line inner linning can collapse and outside of hose looks and feels ok. I even saw it on a Cat diesel suction line.

It looked like the new pump is working better than the old one. I don't remember the wench running up and down as quickly as it does now with the new pump.

Is that wind in the background that I'm hearing! Out on a recovery when I left and brought my backup truck, the old man I was recovering asked why I went and got my other truck and I told him because my hydraulic pump quit working! He said I see you use old Chrysler air conditioner pumps for your air tanks you should use the for your hydraulic pumps to I said that I didn't think that they would work for that! He replied saying that he was a retired mechanical engineer and was certain if they could be used for air pressure pumps that they could be used for hydraulic pumps! What is your thought on that?
