I see someone mentioned that Grace Kelly died in 1982. Also the picture of the mountain is Monaco in 1982, and Grace died driving on a mountain road and having a stroke at 43°43′35″N 7°24′10″E (Monaco). The picture with the nuns is her as a younger woman when she married Prince Rainier. The note at the bottom is the interpretation of the funeral procession of Grace Kelly by the constellation Ursa Major (The Big Dipper). This person saw a flashing light (probably a satellite) passing through the Big Dipper and this is what she 'saw' the meaning to be. Grace Kelly was buried 4 days after her death. I could go into the symbolism of many of the items in the jar, if I get time.
Ok, I’ll try to keep some sort of order. -Carnations are the national floral emblem of Monaco. (and Spain) The tricolor material is in the colors of the French flag, as well as Luxemburg. The flag of Monaco is red and white only. -The leaf or foliage ‘could’ be part of a carnation, or a herb that meant something to the ‘witch’ to enhance the ‘spell’. Like Acacia, or Bloodroot. -The pictures of figures might have some significance to the ‘witch’. For protection, or love. Anything really. Bible verses might be used to convey a message to the ‘intent’ in a way the person may not be able to express. Contrary to popular belief, an eclectic ‘witch’ would be happy to borrow from Christian scripture. -Because witches work with the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, there would be representations of each element in the charm jar. The crab fork could even represent water as it is used with a creature from water (far fetched, but possible). The rocks represent Earth, and feathers for Air (or Angels). The matchbox, well, I don’t need to make that clear hehe -Not sure, but the paper cut into leaf shape has a picture of the Big Dipper on it? Need a better look. -Some items could be gifts to either Grace or The Goddess -The spool ‘could’ indicate the end, as in Lifes end, or the end of pain and suffering. -Some people believe the Tree of Life is actually a peach tree. It could also be a symbol of irony. Softest fruit with the hardest seed. -Coins are used for prosperity. -The screw is sometimes used to ward people off. -The nut? No idea! -Broken crockery can be a sign of bad news to come. Perhaps the ‘witch’ broke a plate, and then heard of Princess Grace’s death and saw that as a sign, so included the broken pieces in the charm to take away the bad omen, and bury it in the earth. -Sorry this is so wordy. This is my interpretation only. Others might have other ideas, and they are respectfully acknowleged.
I must say that this has fascinated me. I had to research this and here is what I found out. Firstly upon initial observation the contents of the mason jar seemed to follow the Hoodoo tradition of a Wiccan love spell, sometimes called a bottle spell. Hoodoo not to be confused with Voodoo is an ancient method of Earth worship at a simple explanation. Since the contents appeared to contain items dating back some 30 years or so, it was most likely ok to handle with empty hands however according to research "Love spell often are coated with urine or spittle and possibly semen. Just saying. Foremost the jar needs to contain a supporting object of affection (Grace Kelly?)and dates where some associated event took place thus the coins. The value of each coin could also have meaning but not knowing the intent of the spell leaves me just guessing. Now the UFO portion of the jar is another matter entirely. Since Grace Kelly passed on was the UFO event inserted into the jar as an attempt to describe a passing? Like in an abduction? So the jar seems to be linking two events --love for an individual that has passed with a possible alien abduction? Here are what the contents in a jar spell represent: A personalized item =a photograph, hair, nail clippings, blood or other personal item of the object of your spell. A prayer=symbolizing a greater power. Also the prayer may contain a message Liquids=Generally the bottle contains some liquid, and which liquid you choose would depend on your intent. Rocks or crystals= have to do with building a foundation or power Feathers=for free passage (flight) Godspeed That was a bazaar jar and I would recommend you contact the individual who sealed it to get the full story. They may not like that you found it though --- then again what do I know!
You would possibly interpret the broken crockery to mean a 'Broken life" or a broken heart". The fishing fly could be "to fly high". Most fae people would not put personal fluids into such a charm, as anyone else finding it could gain power of them, using that fluid, or clipping. I don't think digging it up would affect anything since the intent it was placed with would have been already fulfilled or 'sent'.
The piece originally thought to be a fishing lure turned out to be something else with bone in it. Looked like a snippet of raccoon tail to me. Just saying fwiw.
I believe it may be more of the way these guys handle artifacts. If it ain't a coin, then they treat it as worthless/meaningless. Even the coins, I wish they'd stop rubbing them!

Well, you did it. All I can say is, wow! You didn't just open the jar... which is quite evident with all the comments. It's fun to see the youtube "detectives" on the case. It really is amazing with the different ideas, answers, and possibilities people come up with. Another great video!
Thanks for sharing, even though I'm a coin collector for a moment I thought that all of the items on that bottle is more valuable than any sort of a rare coin, those stuff took us to a journey into the past
Hello. I stumbled across your channel a few days ago and have been in awe of your finds and subscribed. This jar is fascinating. It is a tribute to Grace Kelly that passed away 9/14/1982. The religious pamphlet dated August - October 1982 with her picture gave it more significance. I’m not certain what all the different pieces meant but I’m sure they had some meaning to the person that put the jar together. Pretty cool!
As someone who practices witchcraft, I'm thankful that your wife did some research. I would have re-buried it out of respect but it is what it is. I’m just glad you’ve educated yourselves on it and opened it without judgement of the craft. Blessed be!
too late to bury it the seal has been broken the peach seed usually represents someones soul or essence and the bird is some kind of offering it should have been buried deeper.
U could change ur screen name to quarter hoarder/freaking awesome detective and story teller! I could NOT wait to hear what u were going to say next, lol....outstanding work and lovely gesture, Mr. Quarter Hoarder!
I'm definitely gonna make a jar with some weird creepy shit in it and bury it in hopes someone finds it someday. just really random things so someone is left creeped out and scratching their head over it 😂. maybe I'll do several and just place them all over the city.
Ive been looking for this one, could not find it to save me. Someone with a kind heart gave me the name to look up, and Ta-Da.... (I felt stupid after learning video name.) Thank you Miss Debra for helping me find this! Thank you Sir for sharing what was in the jar! Blessings, Fran
This is the most interesting video I've seen on UA-cam. The best metal detecting video yet! This one will be hard to beat. What are you going to do with the jar of stuff?
I appreciate the informative comments, but I have to agree with the sentiment especially with weird stuff visible. Who doesn't love a good mystery. Would love to have the update of what was said when you made contact with the person.
@@shelveyphillipsbowman8037 I know who may have penned the letter…..Barny & Betty Hill. The famous abductees from the mid 1960’s. of course I’m only joking but that case was interesting and has many good points that are hard to shoot down. Have a great day.
On the hand Writen note there’s a drawing of a circle with a square in the middle that says “us here”. At the 5 o’clock position there’s a picture of a heart. You found a heart on the intact mason jar. Maybe the the heart on the note is showing the spot where you found the heart jar? Maybe this is a crud map showing other things buried around what might of been their house or dwelling. The two squiggly parallel lines next to the heart at the 6 o’clock position might mean water. To the left of the circle there’s a mound “Heliopian Altar” and then a an oak tree. I’m guessing these two landmarks are points of reference to the circle. Along the top of the big circle there are little circles with a line drawn through and connecting the circles. This could be marking a fence or barrier. At the ten and 7 o’clock positions there’s a square with a circle and square inside with a dot in the middle. These could be a well or out house. I’m thinking that the left of the map is east or south due the seemingly open gap between the two circles. Wish I could go there with a compass and ground penetrating radar, lol. That would be huge! Man there’s a lot going on here with this find. Good job. Maybe someone can put this together so you can find out more about the homestead they had set up. 👍🏻👍🏻
Man that's some pretty cool stuff in that jar AWESOME VIDEO are you gonna try to see if that person still alive and maybe the purpose of why that jar was buried awesome video 👊🖒
Great Video ... The necklace looks like hand made Italian Silver... It's too nice not to be real! The Mountain pic. Looks like an Italian village on a mountain.
I have heard of such things when I was living in Virginia, they are usually put in place to honor the dead family member. Each item has a specific meaning, however such meaning is only known to the family, or clan in the hill country. If such a jar were found when out hunting in the woods, we were warned to leave it be, and never tell a soul where it rested, because to disturb the memorial could cause pain to the spirit of that person, and bring very bad luck upon the person who disturbed such a sacred memorial jar. Got that from an old black man who was showing us around an old plantation, I had asked him about hunting, and the bad things a fellow could run into in the woods. I was speaking of snakes and such, but he came at me from an entirely different angle. We never did get out in those woods, I got transferred out into the field recruiting for the US Army, and have not been back to VA since. It was a lovely place to live back in 77 though.
Now that was captivating and weird at the same time. How very interesting to see all those things in the jar and the Princess Grace pics and references. Hope you get to the bottom of this as I would sure like to know what it's all about. GL&HH.
Looks like some kind of voodoo find. And really guy you took a chance handling that stuff with bare hands, especially the metal. Interesting to find out what this is all about. Curious about Grace Kelly connection. Sort of creepy.
Is she coming for you? It's looks adolescent really, the type of thing you'd do as a teenager. Probably a fan of Grace Kelly paying tribute in their own way. Kids, eh?
This is so cool! Maybe you could try and return the stuff to the person, and ask if they want to do some sort of interview type thing about the jar if they're still alive.
Trevor's interpretation is amazing. Anyhow, the page with Arabic on back is torn from Koran. Wrapped in psalms! Dunno what symbolism these specific pages holds, but I am sure they do. The folded metal is not "heavy aluminum" crumpled foil, but lead molten and cast. I know that casting of molten lead supposedly had some dark magic purpose, like "casting of a spell"... Were the artefacts put there by black Americans? I am not fluent in the different shades of American subcultures, but this time capsule provides fascinating glimpse into somebody's soul, living some third of a century ago. You better pray that some weird things wont start happening around you.
Opening the jar was most interesting! I never heard of a witch's jar before. I just started learning how to detect this summer. I would love to find a "mystery jar." The area you all went to for the first video was a gold mine, wasn't it? What fun.....
Yes definitely about the departing of Princess Grace. Too many things add up especially in the month of October most of the constellations are visible that are drawn and named. The bull....which is Taurus and the seven sisters, the Pilates are strong October stars. Also the fact that she had a stroke and hit a tree at the bottom of a hill. The tree drawn here represents her passage of leaving. She also had strong Arabic ties and married a man with that past culture. She was married with a horse-drawn carriage and left this world the same way. Very interesting!!
Man, tearing pages out of a Bible is some seriously bad juju. Hairy thing = Animal tail? Very interesting all the same. Thanks for sharing! Wife may be right about reburying it.
Yup. If I were you, and wanted to investigate more, look at the drawing down on the note by where it shows the oak tree, and all that. See if you can correlate that with spots where you were digging. That probably shows where they planted all their stashes during the ceremony. Good luck.
Great find and video.. friendly suggestion, slow down. Your anxious and so are we but we want to look at the pictures. The reads, the items.. slow down 😀
New sub! Wow, I have never even HEARD of such things, much less seen them! I have to say the creep factor is high....but fascinating! The necklace was beautiful, and loved the wooden spool and wheaties. I, too, wonder if this was related to Princess Grace's death. The UFO and constellation drawings... what a mystery! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Crystal. If you didn't see it yet, I did do a follow up video explaining what everything meant. Took me a hours and hours of research but it was a fun adventure figuring it all out. Not everyday I dig something like this. I appreciate you stopping by.
Seems like some sort of offering for Grace Kelly who died in Sep of 1982. How interesting! Dunno if it is a Wiccan thing or just some homespun "magic" of some kind. I imagine each item there has special significance to the person who buried it, and some sort of connection to Princess Grace. What a neat find! Congratulations.
A young kid made it...the items are things a kid could find digging in the dirt and a old magazine or two ..My friends and I made time capsule all the time...fun video
So fascinating. I am surprised that you didn't raise much of an eyebrow about the UFO sighting sheet. It appears to include a description, date, time and very specific location and direction in relation to the celestial constellations.Being a UFO enthusiast as well as a metal detector hobbyist, I have to tell you that is a lot more specific info that most first hand sightings provide.I'll see if I can match it to any known reports and let you know what I find.Great channel by the way. Happy detecting and good luck in 2017!
Ok, so just at the very first look, I see that Grace Kelly died on Tuesday Sept. 14th 1982.I can't imagine, no matter how much a person was infatuated with Grace, that they would hear about her death on TV, and could immediately throw together all these varied and carefully thought out items and bury it on the same day.AND it says Sunday on the paper. Sunday 2 am. So, I looked for UFO reports occurring on the next Sunday following her death. (Sept 19, 1982) and I found this:Date: Saturday September 17 1982 Location: South Atlantic Time: 11:03PM Summary: A bright patch of light exploded into an orange fireball near the M.V. Strathdee, a Romanian registry ship sailing in the South Atlantic at the geographical coordinates -11.62 S 33.47 W. According to the article in the MUFON UFO Journal, it flashed rays of light and made no sound. A Geiger counter reading indicated a radiation level of 5-7 rads. There were 16 witnesses. Source: William R. Corliss, Remarkable Luminous Phenomena in Nature, p. 283; MUFON UFO Journal, September 1984This happened Late Saturday night ,only 2 hrs 58 minutes before the 2am Sunday sighting noted on the paper. With that exact ship's time, and exact position, one could find where the constellations were in relation to that ship and go from there......I'll let you know what else I find,Best regards,

I see someone mentioned that Grace Kelly died in 1982. Now, this is some good detective work!
Also the name Grace was written most prominently on the inside of the jar lid.

The nut is symbolic of the person who put this jar together.

The matchbox was worth a few thousand dollars. Very rare. One of a kind.
Are you saying you want to buy it? I'd like to see an interview of the person who buried the jar and the meaning of it.
Hi Jason.
I found it very interesting.
Thanks for sharing this day opening this time capsule .
Cheers Tony.👍🍺⛏🇦🇺
really cool video! love how you put on one glove and then touched the things with both hands :D
wow!!!!!!an actual Wiccan love jar!!!! that was an Extra rare find!!!!most Wiccans used leather or cloth!!great find!!!Peace be unto you
WWI and WWII, Peach pits were used in gas masks for purification and removal of contaminants.
Blessed be!
This man is so idiot that giard was glued for not be opened ,this gay is going to have problems time on is live some ,is arrogant, scud trust is wife.
Non going complain in the end ,scud dialect this thing to not be touch
Oh you are killing me with the ONE GLOVE! 🤦♀️
In retrospect, two gloves would have been ideal :)
too late to bury it the seal has been broken the peach seed usually represents someones soul or essence and the bird is some kind of offering it should have been buried deeper.
U could change ur screen name to quarter hoarder/freaking awesome detective and story teller! I could NOT wait to hear what u were going to say next, lol....outstanding work and lovely gesture, Mr. Quarter Hoarder!
Wow thanks Melissa! That would be quite a long channel name but I appreciate where you're going with it! lol
One of the most unusual metal detecting videos I've seen yet!
Very cool. Watching this after found and opened... still cool ! Just found this site will be back to check out more !
This video is the start of a 1980s horror film. Hahaha
CH CH CH AH AH AH

Exactly...
Strange but interesting find! Hard to imagine what goes through people's minds!
I'm definitely gonna make a jar with some weird creepy shit in it and bury it in hopes someone finds it someday. just really random things so someone is left creeped out and scratching their head over it 😂. maybe I'll do several and just place them all over the city.
I hope my great grandkids find them in the future!
Jael Jade these comments made my heart smile!
Just a wild guess - you never bothered?
Jael Jade 😂😂😂
Jael Jade I threw my ex husband's and I rings in a bottle and said good bye to him n told God to do what is best and a yr later we were divorced
We found your channel recently and love it. This was fascinating!
"This jar is getting opened" LOL! Great video. That sure was bizarre.
wasn't it amazing JD
I appreciate the informative comments, but I have to agree with the sentiment especially with weird stuff visible. Who doesn't love a good mystery. Would love to have the update of what was said when you made contact with the person.
The most interesting was the UFO letter may find the person who wrote it
You should not have opened it. It's personal so leave it there. Plus some protection spells require urine.
@@shelveyphillipsbowman8037 I know who may have penned the letter…..Barny & Betty Hill. The famous abductees from the mid 1960’s. of course I’m only joking but that case was interesting and has many good points that are hard to shoot down.
Have a great day.
Oh NOOO !!! you found my jar...lol..I have many I have buried in yards of homes I have lived..Plus pennies for Friday the 13th penny spells..
that piece of fabric is the french flag
Never seen anything like this nor even heard of this practice. Very fascinating. New subscriber. Thank you!
Interesting! Also, I was hoping someone would point out the Heliopian Altar notation.
Very cool Jason
if im not mistaken on lid of jar is the symbol for the" love angel" heart w/angel wings
Looks like a Rolling Stones Album Cover.
Wow I'm having a great time watching your video this is weird and fun
The only thing to fear is fear itself. Well done guys. Subbed you.
Thanks Chris!
Dont worry I got a glove.
Uses both hands.
Very interesting hunt! I think the "fishing lure" is the end of a squirrel tail.
I used to make them outta squirrel tail lol
is the island picture of Monaco?
Michelle G - I was wondering the same
Yes it is.
Now that was captivating and weird at the same time. How very interesting to see all those things in the jar and the Princess Grace pics and references. Hope you get to the bottom of this as I would sure like to know what it's all about. GL&HH.
That was probably a tribute to Princess Grace. You should try and put everything back the way it was and rebury it. Seriously!!
Very cool reveal. This must be some kind of memorial for Princess Grace.
Looks like some kind of voodoo find. And really guy you took a chance handling that stuff with bare hands, especially the metal. Interesting to find out what this is all about. Curious about Grace Kelly connection. Sort of creepy.
looks like some kind of earth organite----- great vid
Are you gonna try and contact the person that left their info in the jar?
I already tracked her down
Is she coming for you?
It's looks adolescent really, the type of thing you'd do as a teenager. Probably a fan of Grace Kelly paying tribute in their own way. Kids, eh?
Quarter Hoarder what did she say?
For your own safety, please don't contact her. Whoever buried this funky jar doesn't seem like a very stable person.
effen0174 the cannibalism of Christianity is probably worrisome to atheists
Always my favorite video!
This is so cool! Maybe you could try and return the stuff to the person, and ask if they want to do some sort of interview type thing about the jar if they're still alive.
I tracked her down. Working on something like that as we speak. Not sure how its gonna play out though.
Cool! Can't wait to see what happens.
DID U EVER CONTACT HER
Quarter Hoarder I did not see where the follow up to the original jar packer played out. What happened
Yeah!! What happened?
Wish you had used teasers when unfolding the paper. Thanks for sharing your video and finds with all of us. 👍👍👍👍
I put my junk mail in a jar, pee in it and then bury it to protect myself from bill collectors.
Lol
Try poop. It's a more potent spell...lmao
Yeah, I must have done a couple hundred like those in California, and when I was in New York about 483; all varying size jars.
Your finds so do what You like but it breaks My heart the way You tear into that stuff . . .
Opening the jar was most interesting! I never heard of a witch's jar before. I just started learning how to detect this summer. I would love to find a "mystery jar." The area you all went
to for the first video was a gold mine, wasn't it? What fun.....
Would be so cool if the penny with tape was a 1909 S VDB. GL on your next Adventure! qkdraw
what significance does a 1909 s have & What does V.D.B. Stand 4? Thanx.
The man that designed the coin was Victor D. Brenner.
cool digs man. I was heavily into this back in the mid 1970's. I'm sure the detectors are much better these days.
the secret meaning behind the screw generally means "you've got screwed".
Yep😐
You have a princess grace picture ! Also grace is wrote on the inside of the jar lid ! Is there a connection somewhere ?
I wanted a big cloud of smoke in the shape of a human skull to come out of the jar.
Only if you believe in it. Some do and some don't. POW's used pages from bibles to smoke with, because it was rice paper, same as Tally-Ho's.
How did the Arabic writing get in there? It did not look like a zerrock copy?
Okay Jason go bury that thing where you found it, Lol.
Yes buried it back! Trust me
Seems like some sort of offering for Grace Kelly who died in Sep of 1982. How interesting! Dunno if it is a Wiccan thing or just some homespun "magic" of some kind. I imagine each item there has special significance to the person who buried it, and some sort of connection to Princess Grace. What a neat find! Congratulations.
I think it’s a tribute to Princess Grace. I believe this person cared a great deal for her and probably took her death really hard.
The book cover was for the period August -October 1982, Grace died in Sept 1982...so I'm with you on this
I’m with you on that too! These guys need to take the time to read the stuff, slow down and detect what you found!
@@grandpagrandmajustkeepgoin4560
Grace was written on the inside of the jar lid as well…
A young kid made it...the items are things a kid could find digging in the dirt and a old magazine or two ..My friends and I made time capsule all the time...fun video
Happy detecting and good luck in 2017!
villabeach I'd like to know what you find as well. Plz keep us updated.
villabeach
That was the coolest part of the whole find....really detailed and specific...pretty cool
Please do let us know!! Curious minds want to know?? ;~))
Will do!
(Sept 19, 1982) and I found this:Date: Saturday September 17 1982
Location: South Atlantic
Time: 11:03PM
Summary: A bright patch of light exploded into an orange fireball near the M.V.
With that exact ship's time, and exact position, one could find where the constellations were in relation to that ship and go from there......I'll let you know what else I find,Best regards,
I don’t think much about the jar but the bowl looking things you said might be a bank are parts of an egg poaching set
there is a woman out there who just lost her job, house and husband and does not know why lol.
LOL!!!
Fibro Dad - UK Fibromyalgia Vlog sorry for not getting the joke. Please explain :D the woman who buried this lost her luck when it was found and opened? Or what? Haha
LOL, I was just thinking it looked like a spell jar.

Pretty cool. I really liked this.
Blessed be )o(
My fellow Pagans~

The paper that has the "Oak Tree" on it... could that be some type of cryptic "map"?
She must have cast a lid tightening spell on it.
Cool find, very interesting, btw, the furry bit with bone look like the tail end of a squirrel but not certain100%.As for the small fork type of thing, looks like ivory.
