The spoon I believe is a Sicily spoon. Their flag has head with three legs. Use to have small spoons like it for tourists all over the world. Every state use to have them as well. I’ve seen a lot of them through the years from Texas to New York.
That trinacria spoon is very creepy, and I beleive it is associated with the mafia in Sicily. The token with the angel on it is a typical "guardian angel" token that you'd keep in your pocket for protection! Very nice finds both of them! :D
I think the spoon sigil might have something to do with the Isle of Man in the UK (in the Irish Sea)as the design with the three legs is is identical to the island’s cost of arms. .
Theres a sicilian restaurant in Philly by 17th street they have that design on the wall. Joes pizza. Maybe sicilian? Edit i mean the spoon portion with the legs and head
I didn't get the notification for this video until just now, most than a day late. Wonderful video, one of your best ones yet. The things you find are always so interesting along with your enthusiasm makes for one of my favorite channels to watch. Keep on digging Quarter Hoarder and I'll be looking forward to the next installment!
1:07 iron nut is actually a bearing. I watched your first video the other day and you have improved tremendously. The excitement that you bring when you find anything makes your videos stand out from others. Thanks for sharing
Thanks. When I lose the excitement is when I’ll find another hobby. It still amazes me when I pull things from the ground like magic. Hopefully that feeling never dies off.
I love your enthusiasm! What a cool day of finds! Great that you helped Mark and he's going to start detecting. REALLY enjoyed this hunt! That spoon is an awesome find.
Nice finds by Mark for his first detecting adventure. Love the spoon, tokens, ring, and the toy car. Never heard of a Tootsie car before but I bet the child that played with it really shed a tear when they lost it.
I've seen quite a few metal detecting channels and I must say that yours is the most entertaining one by far. Your excitement is infectious and the things you dig up are fascinating. New fan and new sub. Keep it up Quarter Hoarder
Fun hunt, Jason! 7:00 Awesome satyr/centaur spoon! That 3-legged pattern on the bowl is called a triskelion. Never seen one like that. Didn't find one in image search either. 11:00 The Franklin Institute token is maybe 1930s. 15:30 Catholic Relief Services gave these Guardian Angel tokens as appreciation gifts to donors. Cool find! 18:00 Road Signature token, came with a diecast toy firetruck.
What a great hunt Jason, that thing in the middle of your spoon bowl looks like a joker to me. That Tooties toy is so cool , I love it ! Congrats on all your finds and happy hunting !

That ring is really nice looking, add that weird spoon that is so unique, and I can't lie I really like that Franklin token!! Franklins one of my heros so I am bias. Thanks for sharing and keep living the dirt life!!
The spoon bowl is the depiction of figure on the flag of Sicily. Italian immigrants probably left a memento. Great find. Just binging on your videos and landed on this one way after the fact. New to the channel. You find so many interesting things!
You were very enthusiastic about those tokens and the Tootsie Toy. My neighbors and I used to play with those Tootsie cars, but they never did roll as well as the Hot Wheels. Thanks for sharing.
Quarter Hoarder, those 2 brass oval things are half of a turn fastener like would be found on a boat canvas top. the turn button piece would be mounted to the boat and that oval part would be attached to the canvas covering of the boat. This is just one example of how they are used. I have found about 4 sets of those on a permission I have. Great finds, I was glued from started to end. Hopes this info helps. GL & HH
Thanks Rick. Those fasteners may have come from a Model T canvas roof. I guess the design is kind of generic so probably used for boats as well. Appreciate the info buddy.
Awesome finds Jason. I think the first find was a car wheel bearing maybe. The angel was beautiful. Really good stuff there brother. Thanks for bringing me along on this adventure.
That triangle looks like a dinner bell. The pair of snaps are form leather horse tack. Nice tokens love the angel one. And that spoon wow art for sure. Until next time GL&HH. Thanks for sharing.
Some excellent discoveries, coins, tokens, baby spoon, car. You killed it today on collectibles and did a nice job cleaning up the property of junk. See you again soon.
Jason the nut thing in the beginning is a wheel bearing. You had some amazing finds on this hunt. The Tootsie car is very cool. My favorites are the angel token, which is amazing, and the really strange little spoon. I have never seen anything like that one.
Great hunt Hoarder!!Like most of the other commenters that spoon is my favorite find you dug there, that thing is sick!!!I hope ole Nibbsy feels better soon.Cant wait for your next video man, take it slow ✌.
In the Sicilian flag stands on display the symbol of a female head with three legs bent (triskelion) and moves directly from the leader. In heraldry this representation is called trinacria
Wow Jason when you got the ring i didn't think you could top it, and then boom awesome spoon and a little tootsie roadster to good brother...GL& HH Jim
Super sweet spoon! Best one I’ve seen. When you get excited you sound like that guy in the double rainbow UA-cam video. Hahaha. Really cool finds and that first one was a car wheel bearing with the Memorial. Good luck and great video. Your close to us maybe we could get together on a dig soon.
I just can’t help getting excited. All these years detecting but I still just love seeing cool things come out of the ground like magic! I’m not sure where in PA you are, but email me and we can try to get together. QuarterHoarder@yahoo.
Firstly the nut you found was a wheel bearing. the spoon is a souvinior (however its spelt) spoon from "the isle of man" and the two oval things are eyelets off a torneau cover from a pickup.
The spoon I believe is a Sicily spoon. Their flag has head with three legs. Use to have small spoons like it for tourists all over the world. Every state use to have them as well. I’ve seen a lot of them through the years from Texas to New York.

In the Sicilian flag stands on display the symbol of a female head with three legs bent (triskelion) and moves directly from the leader. In heraldry this representation is called trinacria
And it just may be your late 1800's find for that location. Truly vintage Sicilian.
Thank you for the information. I searched around glen Triskelion and you are right on the money. Really appreciate it!
Its also the Crest for the German state of Fussen, in the German Alps
