- It finally happened! After years of searching, thousands of hours digging at the oldest and most historical places we could find, we finally find up out most wanted item of all time!
The day started off good, we were in an old field where several houses stood hundreds of years ago. We started finding old coins, buttons, silver, relics, and all the telltale signs of life from back then. But then it happened, our NUMBER ONE Holy Grail of ALL possible finds came popping from the ground! The age, the rarity, the history behind it, all make this not only our most historic find but one that may never be beaten!

What an incredible piece of American history. I would be out of my mind trying to open it up without damaging it. It would be terrifying to undertake that knowing that one false move could break it. Glad you succeeded Jason. Congratulations!!
A single needle found out of hundreds of haystacks….you found it! Amazing find! 👍🏼
WOW,WOW AND WOW... every hunt we just never know who has walked that ground hundreds of years ago..congrats brother congrats....
Wow! Congratulations Jason!! Man, the history you are finding from this site. And another addition to the, Doug's, "OL Lead Knob Doug".
The silver piece doug found with the holes at the top and flowers all the way around that was flattened reminds me of a victorian salt shaker
Wow just wow, congrats Jason on the GW button ! Can't believe you got it flattered too.
Greatest find, Jason!! Better than anything you could ever find at Camp Hantesa!! LOL Keep finding those great permissions, the best is yet to come!!
Absolutely Phenomenal Save Jason👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻💯💯💯Huge Congratulations To You!!
Wow, what a find! Some serious history right there!
Doug's silver item with the holes looks to me like a salt shaker
Congrats. Jason! As always, thanks for sharing.
What an awesome find ... Congrats!!

Awesome find brother!!🤙🏽
GREAT FIND...CONGRATS!!!
Wow, congrats! So incredibly jealous!
Doug. I was thinking maybe half a salt-pepper shaker missing the bottom base?? Idk. What did you find out?
I agree. That's what it is.
@@dogtagdoug6751 I haven’t heard about it. I’ll look into it tho
Doug found a salt shaker silver, I have two of them!!! early 1900's or late 1800"s. Good job guys!!
Fantastic find! Congratulations, Jason!
Congratulation. A Great Find. WOW!!
Awesome find please keep us posted !!
Congratulations, what an incredible historical find, in the middle of a field. Just imagine what else is out there. I’m very curious as to how you opened it, especially without scratching it. Plastic auto interior tools? Was this Jersey or PA? Thanks.
Unbelievable find! Congratulations and best of luck with the restoration.
Amazing find Jason. Way to go!
Awesome. Congratulations buddy. I love watching you and your band of merry men metal detecting.
Congrats on the button!
Wow, amazing find, what type of gw did Paul find?
Sweet find
Awesome 👏
Well done mate.
Old photo albums had tabs like that to hold them closed
Wow! That GW button 😳. It’s finds like this that make me hate living and hunting in New Mexico. We will NEVER find anything like this.
CONGRATULATIONS
Doug's find is a salt or pepper shaker?
If you google 1900 silver salt shaker some on the ones of that time period look very much like the silver item found
So many times I tell myself the more I dig the closer I will get to that one in a million find so all I have to do is dig that 999,999 other targets first. And then I tell myself that it doesn't mean it won't come up before those others 999,999 targets. But I'm really happy for you to see you nail one after all of that time you put in digging God only knows how many holes over the years. Now you can shoot for another variety. After holding one that you have already dug it might not seem so impossible to do it again. With those other nice buttons that was recovered you have to wonder if maybe that wasn't some type of a meeting site other then just some farm field. I know of a tavern out in the woods where they held county elections and did other governmental business like choose the early postmasters and sheriffs so maybe it's something to consider or research the area a little deeper about who lived around that site. It might have been the relative of a governor or someone of importance. Suddenly the Washington quarter wasn't such a bummer compared to the seated and the SLQ it was a sign of what's to come. Maybe you can find a Fugio Cent and that leads you on to a linked states button, now wouldn't that be something. I give it a week before some high end collector tries to contact you about making you an offer. You already booked a ticket for a spot in the best finds video of 2023 and eventually in your best finds of all times video. Congratulations if anyone deserved it you do.
Well at this point i would shut the detector off , drive home , put in the closet and shut the door and be done for the year. Mic drop find for sure.
Silver thing is a salt/pepper shaker
You gotta go back with all your buddies and hammer than area...maybe there were more on the coat...and the coat was burned there or something....You should even probe and excavate there a little
Congratulations Jason, what an incredible and rare find, can't wait to see it after it is restored. Congrats to the guys on their buttons, relics and Doug's silver piece.
Congratulations Jason - a truly awesome find! Please keep us posted on the restoration. I’m sure many are curious about its value, but your joy and enthusiasm are priceless. Your storytelling is unmatched.
Congratulations Jason on your finding your first GWI button three cheers ( huzzah, huzzah, huzzah) way to go my friend and getting the silver quarter too.
Way to go Jason! Awesome button! It's rare you find the star of the show anymore. Congrats to all the other guys on their finds as well. And good luck to everybody on the next!
Yelling CONGRATULATIONS JASON
Jason, it’s like you won the Mega Millions of metal detecting… Congratulating!!!
Could Dougs silver piece be the top of a salt or pepper shaker? Congrats on the button, a lifetime find, thats for sure.
Great job. Happy for you. You always help your crew checking out what they have. You only do a little on your finds. 🎉
Holy smokes! Congrats on the GW button! What a find. 😳 I hope we get to see it once it is professionally restored. That will be something to see.

Great finds and wow on that GWI button! Once in a lifetime and so happy for you! And Doug, as a retired police officer myself, kudos for passing that button on! I know he will cherish that!!!
Nice finds my buddy just found a complete one with a eagle on it
HUGE Congrats Jason!!! It took everything I had to NOT read the comments to find out what your greatest find was going to be! I'm happy to say I guessed right tho! No need for a banana, as luck was always on your side! I love the whole Quarter Hoarder crew, but I am glad it was you who found it! So, I am curious, how did Rich react to the news?? I bet he really regrets havin to leave early! Can't wait to see it restored!
Where can we buy your hat & patch? Awesome find btw.
Quarter Hoarder for the win... thanks for sharing!
Hello Quarter Hoarder,Dog Tag Doug,Rich and Matt
OMG 😳 Amazing!!! What a find!!! Happy hunting from a Detectorist in Scotland 🏴
Read the title, thought - he found a GW button.Nice!
I agree with Mike Williamson regarding Doug's find. That's a salt shaker, missing the stand (base) and flattened out. My grandmother had a set.
Gee Dub!! Congratulations! :)
Congrats Jason, I thought you had your Tree Coin but this is just as good!
Congratulations Jason. That button is a once in a lifetime find. Totally awesome.
What a find. A needle in a haystack seems like a walk in the park compared to your find. How cool you got to be the one to find it. It seems so often all the others are making the great finds and you are so busy with the filming of the hunt that you don't have much time to detect. Congratulations on finding something so rare.
A very productive field to detect today. Many unique and aged finds. Weather was cooperative also. See you all on the next. 😊
3:18 HAHAHA colonial pull-tab lmao good one Doug, LOTS of amazing finds once again. Congrats on the bucket find.
Colonial pull tab ,I was chuckling and no one laughed lol
I'm so happy for you I can only imagine the feeling of finding that rare GW button congrats!
Beutiful buttons 😮 good luck!
Congrats, Jason! There's no feeling like seeing one of those pop out of your plug - indescribable! Look forward to seeing you and Doug soon!
What a find, I'm so happy for you, congratulations
geoph Jeff that is a tongue to a buckle

Congrats on the bucket list find! The history and story of things found is so much of the true richness of the hobby
The silver object Doug found is a sensor. Ladies wore those on a neck chain, they held perfume or scents.
I think it’s too big for that, it just looks like a silver salt shaker missing the base.
@@b.slocumb7763 you may be correct.
Magnificent find Jason!! Congrats to you and the rest of the crew. I can't wait to see it full restored.
Congrats!! That is so cool! The rarity of that thing is incredible. I wish I could find a quarter of what you guys find!
Watching now. Could Rich's square floral relic attach to Jeff's relic? They look like similar patina maybe. Doug's looks to be part of a sterling salt shaker. Congratulations Jason on your amazing find!
Congratulations Jason, absolutely amazing GW button. That Jacksonian was no slouch either. Amazing hunt👋👍
Mannnnn, a digger’s dream! Congrats Jason! And great finds from the whole group, too! I have an infinity for silver finds and loves the piece DT Doug got! Keep us posted on the restoration of your amazing GW inauguration button, for sure!!!
Huge congrats Jason!!!! What an amazing piece of the past. What a great day for buttons. Happy hunting and be well
Congratulations!!! 😊

Awesome find 👏 Huge Congrats! amazing how rare that is 😲 omg!!! I found my fanciest dandy button recently, but it's nothing compared to that button 🥰 HH and take care.
