Battery life is probably the biggest issue with the Pico 4 and unlike the Quest 2 you can't simply change out the strap for a battery strap.
In this video we look at 3 different ways to increase the battery life of your Pico 4 and of course any other standalone headset like the Quest 2 or Pico Neo 3.
One is an old classic, one is a left field solution and the other is brilliant!

I dance like crazy in VR, I doubt the BoboVR will hold, thanks for making a video about the neck power bank solution, I'm going with that.
I use a battery pack with magnetic cords. I keep a cord plugged into the charger in the wall so its an easy switch and not worry about messing up the usb C port.
another good thing about just using battery packs is you can chain them together. it shouldn't matter what type of charging it uses, be it USB-C, micro, mini, etc. but of course having multiple that use USB-C for input and output is the best solution.

Just do what I did order a 4.5 m usbc - usbc cable and switch out the original charger lead with it.. There you go infinite battery life and most people dont have 4 metres of room to play in anyhow. and to be honest im quite happy with the default sound from the headset so..
Your challenge for the Pico 4 is to find the best adapter which enables extra battery charging 'and' simultaneous use of wired headphones. There are a few out there but some have a few little issues.
Soundcore VR P10 allows charging and a 2.4ghz dongle for near zero latency. They're really good.
@@NickHoddinott Soundcore VR P10 are a bit pricey and not currently sold in UK, even on Soundcore's UK website. Also I don't like 'in ear' headphones.

Important to NOT to forget: also use a magnetic USB cable, to prevent damage/break of the only USB port of your VR headset. I use magnetic USB cables since 2 years without any problems. Buy cables that are capable to deliver enough power/watt ánd data.

I don't understand why people would wanna spend that much money on that thing bcoz basically it's just a powerbank and it will move around if u shake. What i did was the simplest.. i get myself a sports armband and slaps a 20000mah powerbank and connect it using a spiral (retractable) 90degree angle usb c cable and it's done!!! That powerbank ain't moving or going anywhere on my arm. I can't even feel the cable!! Easy peazy.. simple yet awesome and looks cool too IMO.. 😎😉
That's a good idea! I ordered the setup after I saw your comment. But I also only saved 10 € compared to the neck power bank. But the normal powerbank has a larger capacity than the neck powerbank. I'm curious how it works when playing.

Well the AMVR is desinged with VR in mind you can obviously make your own setups easily but using the wrong wire length, weight, tension etc could damage the connection over time. You wont have thay worry with the AMVR so thats a good reason why people wouldn't mind paying a bit more
