    I have been working on boats since I was 19, in Counce Tennessee on the Pickwick lake. It’s a huge transit stop, and a big time summer vacation spot. I decided to start my own detailing business after being let go end of season by a guy I was helping. Right before Christmas. So 2022 Alanah’s Overboard Cleaning and Detail was born, and I am soooooo grateful for your videos. If I ever feel like I want to learn more before providing a service your videos are where I go. You have seriously helped me so much. I enjoy the work, and hopefully I can continue to grow and learn! Don’t stop what you do, there are no other people out here that come close to being as informative and helpful as you are on boat detail.

The amount of brilliance that comes out of this is absolutely staggering. Honestly, I'm dying to learn what something like this really costs, even on a moderate level: $500.00...? $2000.00? This is such an informational video, thank you! I have been using Shine Supply products to polish and maintain my boat for several years, but yet still learned a ton from your video. It's hard to beat the satisfaction of putting such a nice gloss on an old oxidized boat. I have one question, can you tell me how you clean out your wool pad, yellow pad, and orange CCS pad both during use (if you do at all), as well as when you're all finished with the job?

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks! You can’t really “clean” the foam ones, you pretty much just use those ones until they are gone. The wool ones, you can use a pad spur to fluff them up in between passes. After a job, you can then wash them with warm water, then put it back on the buffer and really crank up the buffer and fling all the water out. It works pretty good! m.ua-cam.com/video/PJx2PXG8VU4/v-deo.html

    Awesome work! How did you clean up / polish the non-skid gelcoat? Does that require a special technique?

      Depending on what kind of gel coat it is or non-skid, yes. This is what I do for all diamond pattern on skin surfaces. Hope this helps!

    Wow - amazing job. I know it’s a year later, but can you tell us what process you did on the non-slip back on that rear deck? It’s red so not like all the white stuff that everybody shows treatment on for the topside of all the fishing boats. What was your process for bringing that back? Can’t be the same as the flat gel coat can it??

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  Рік тому

      Hey Bro! Yes it can be the same, except for the wet sanding part. You can do all of the steps on the nonskid except the sanding because you can’t wear down the non skid tread with the sanding paper.

    Looks amazing!! What if the new owner hangs it in a boathouse? Isn't there gonna be some awful stripes from it not being lifted off the trailer?
