Those that have used Rapid Shine....share your experience!! :)
Turtle wax seal n shine vs this!
ahhh i wish i could try it out nufinish
@@Carlos.Rivera try their ceramic spray coating. I use it and love it. I haven’t tried the rapid shine yet tho.
Hey Brian, I actually stopped the video just to say we All appreciate your hard work because it helps the consumer. Once again, thx ..now back to the Video!
I appreciate you taking the time to support the channel.. Win, Win!
I really enjoyed watching this. My father started using NuFinish back in the late 70s and we've always had a bottle of the regular wax. Even now, a few years into detailing privately, I still use it, be it on chrome or paint. For what I know, the liquid wax itself has cleaners and micro abrasives and is a cross linked zinc polymer based sealant. Still enjoy using it.
It actually contains 5% silicates (original nu finish in the bottle) way back before SiO2 was a fad like it is today. People don't realize how cheap Si02 is. You can buy a pound of it for about $3.00 that can make you about 1000 50ml bottles. Si02 is the biggest rip off to date. Big profits margin though to the companies selling the stuff 😎
Never ever tired of seeing your face Brian. You are the hardest worker which I can see making videos to teach and show things about different products, I really appreciate all your hard work on and off screen.
Brian the corvette in the shop is a beauty 💎We enjoy your videos and the knowledge that comes along with it ✊
Killer finish on the Corvette! You are an artist!
Best detailing channel on the tube! Non-biased, honest reviews and thorough knowledge of the craft!
Glad you are reviewing retail products as well
What an excellent review. Shows different aspects eg beading, shine measurements, longevity. I'm impressed, this is what a review should be. Subscribed.
Hi Brian... To echo the words of those before me, I just wanted to say a sincere Thank You for all you do. I'm not a pro by any standard. But I love to keep my trucks looking great. You and your videos have rekindled my love for all things detailing. I've bought many of the products you've recommended. But mostly, I try to imitate your techniques - which produce great results. I'm always excited to get a notification that you've posted a new video. So thank you again.
I truly appreciate the support for the channel and kind words. I am also very happy the videos help out a bit. Much more to come. 🙂
NICE, Brain... great to see some readily available options done the Apex way....
Excellent video. Long time detailer, BUT always something to learn. Thanks.
My experience with Rapid Shine was pretty good. It had good water beading and protection between washes.
I have just used it on my 95 z28 Camaro will post a picture soon
I love the stuff! It's old school cool and is very effective. I use it to wipe down wheels after a wash since it's so inexpensive. I'll have to try it as a polish though, that was impressive!
That C7 is beautiful.
Man thumbs up you have all the gadgets to make a real review!
I passed by this at my hardware store. Thanks for reviewing it!👍🏻👍🏻
Rapid Shine is fantastic, but it's not available in ANY store in Casa Grande, Arizona that sells auto parts &/or auto care supplies. I've had to order it online. Walmart in Phoenix metro area stopped carrying it as well. Not your problem, I realise. There are many insufficientcies in the state; this is merely a small example. Rapid Shine's a super product.
I did a video on my channel washing Nu Finish 100 times. I was surprised to see just how tough it was before it gave out!
So glad you did this matchup. 👌🏼👊🏼
How much time did you spend on the Z06? Beautiful! I found your Instagram account. Your work is stellar!!👌🏻
Quite a few days.
good video brian.
thanks for taking the time to keep folks informed and educated.
another great video again buddy. always tryn new things 2 help all of us.nothong wrong with having fun while doing it...🍻🍻
Hope all is well Cheers!
I think Nu Finish used the word "polish" like 40 years ago now when they first came out to distinguish themselves from the carnauba based waxes that everybody used back then. After that everybody came out with synthetic polymer waxes in response. That's the way I remember it anyway.
Brian...you know how I feel about all the Vette's. Especially the Z's. Keep em coming! Great video once again. Very cool to see an old brand like Nu Finish jumping in to the spray sealant game.
I have a parade of Vettes coming through the shop this summer....stay tuned!
How come you didn’t use the electric buffer on the seal and shine side? The test was rigged!
Very nice video. Your work and product reviews are much appreciated. Thanks for posting.
I stop what I'm doing and watch Brain when I get a notification. Thank you, Brian, a true professional
I am humbled by your dedication to the channel. Much appreciated....and motivation to keep working hard on quality content for you guys....and gals.🙂
Thanks for breaking out the Turtle Wax Seal n Shine. I haven't found any decent dedicated videos on the stuff.
This is the white residue king of all spray products. It’s viscosity and thickness drips everywhere. I’m still cleaning white off my truck. It’s a no for me.
Nu-finish!!???? Awwww ,hell nawww!!! Big NO FOR ME!!!!
My father has been using NuFinish for years and swears by it. I tell him all the time I could make his cars look a lot better and he says they look fine. Haha Can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
Stubborn...like My father. 🙂
Can you explain “ look better “ - gloss or depth of shine - longer lasting? - really want to know -
I used the Adams wheel cleaner yesterday it was not the first time. The smell is like my grandmothers perm. The product is excellent and makes my Brembo calipers and wheels brake dust free. I purchased a gallon and it came with a 16 oz as well. For the price with 15% off you can’t beat it.
hahahaha...Good analogy! I am glad you found a good deal. Cheers!
Wow, I haven’t used nu finish in almost 2 decades
Great review, I remember the wax being around for a long time never tried it though
Nufinish has always confused people with the "polish" description. It is really a coating. If you think of it as a polish in the same way you think of shoe polish, then it makes some sense. However, when it comes to cars, the word "polish" usually refers to an abrasive carried in a liquid or paste medium, like polishing compound.
As far as I can tell every detail shop around me is just some guy who bought a bunch of equipment and set up shop.
I need to find the detailer who uses a microscope!
Nu Finish really was ahead of their time...
It’s pretty cool Brian that you make some lower hand quality products review, even if I probably never buy these products, you give a good shot of them and it’s cool to know. There is every products for every budget !
I try to cover all products for all skill sets.🙂
Woahhhh lucky I found this channel
Can you please test the traditional Nufinish against the leading spray Sio2/waxes?
Nufinish lasts long for what it is.
A guy in Texas has done a long term test on it. It holds up to most entry level ceramic coatings! One of the most underrated products out there.
Here's the link to the Nu Finish long term test - ua-cam.com/video/LQ-SGYb2sJE/v-deo.html
Traditional nufinish imo is better than most. Ive used it against a few , f11, Lucas slickmist, cgV07,cmx, hydrosilex.., and it has lasted easily far beyond any of them.
Brian, been thinking. what vehicle or vehicles do you own and can we get some pictures of how it looks. I ask this as your work is outstanding and curious as to what your daily driver looks like.
My toys only make a trip to the shop for maintenance. My daily is a go-fer truck to haul stuff around. I will get some in videos at some point.
Brian bro it would be really informative if you did additional sections like unpolished and uncorrected sections next to the polished sections, because mostly we don't have machines to do polish and correction almost none of my friens do(N.J.), then we can see the results and make even better choice's
It's the same thing, as long as you wash decontaminate and clay the paint, it does not matter, it is still free of bonding contaminants, no correction needed.
Make sure you shake the bottle. The bottom of the bottle has lots of goodness “what looks like polish” sittin on the bottom
What up buddy great video tfs
Thanks...hope all is well.👍
I don’t use this product as wax I just use as quick polish for my car it seem easy to use than the regular polish but I will not treat as my wax.
What do you consider "regular polish"?
I’d like to see your review of their ceramic spray coating.
I use it and love it. It actually outlasts the turtle wax seal and shine (new formula).
Please note use it in a ventilated area. The chemical odor is very potent.
I was going get the Nu Finish Ceramic spray at Walmart...then I saw a video of about 10 different sprays...and the turtle wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic spray won hands down...so I bought tat at Walmart...and it's amazing...repels everything...and when it rains...just drive your car and all water comes off and it looks like you just detailed it...but I might try the Nu Finish in the future...
@@jazzyboy7784 layer the nu-finish spray on top of the turtle wax spray. Just wait 24hrs before layering.
Do you think using a machine to apply NuFinish affected the gloss against S&S?
That car is not even dirty, you need to use a car that has hardly any wax on it but that baby that you’re using is beautiful
Wasn't expecting that out of the nu-finish spray. Havent been a big fan of their stuff over the years but, that surprised me. The vette looks gorgeous buddy.
Brian. Could we use seal & shine with a 💶 fiber pad to do 1 steps? We are currently using Optimum products spray cutting agent & toping it off with seal & shine or Opti seal. from what I'm learning here it's more about the pad and not the cutting agent for 1 steps?!
I used nufinish back in the Old days it was a good protectant but i will skip this 1 ( ps) Meg s Ceramic spray is thc best off the shelf plastic restoration product i ever used love it on rubber also. Thanks for another informative video Brian
254JROCK meg ceramic spray is expensive and rubbish. Go have a look on comparison videos about it
I thought the pressure washer sounded kind of weird. Then I realized it’s because it’s an airless paint sprayer. Not a pressure washer.
Nu finish is best if you put on two coats on first application
Wow the Vette looks like you could reach 3 inches into that paint. 👍
Can you recommend the easiest and faster way to to remove pine tree sap from a car? Or products?
Believe it or not, try liquid hand sanitizer. It will take it right off! I didn't believe it until I tried it.
91% isopropyl alcohol will have it gone in seconds!!
Only if it fresh! If it's been on there a while. Good luck! Tried Hand sanitizer. Then Alcohol. High pressure wash wand at CarWash. Got % 85 of it off. 2003 Deville Silver Metallic paint. Nice car. Shawn
Brian will you please do a video on Kamikaze Zipang Coat then Miyabi add Zipang on top? Nice Corvette!
I covered Mayabi last year...I will get back to Kamikaze soon.
@@apexdetail85 Its three coats Zipang, on to of that Mayabi on top of that Zipang. Bet it would look great on the corvette.
An old video I know, but, why was Nu Finish applied with a powered buffer, but your second product only lightly applied by hand? This was NOT a scientific test between two different products, but seemed to favour Nu Finish - Hmmm...wonder why ?
He is hawking Nu Finish products
I think all your videos are excellent. Damn I want to Corvette now that is so sweet it looks perfect. And there happens to be my favorite color is that a 2020 I think it is right.
I don’t think the gloss test was fair because on the Nu Finish side you buffed it by machine. I think that the seal and shine Deserves the same thing to be machine applied at a higher speed so it can make a better sign because you will definitely not get the same results just spring it on and wiping it off with a rag.
That side was machined polished in a previous video. Yeah...the color is incredible. It is a 16' Zo6 Supercharged
Laguna Blue was the color. I have the same color.
Without using the polisher to apply the TW S and S, this is a lopsided comparison. TW was hand application only.
just pointing something out.. you did polish the Nu Finish with a buffer and only sprayed on the TW and wiped it off. I've been really impressed with the new TW seal and shine, especially for the price. May have to try the NF next!!
Never have heard of it i will check it out!
I have been using Nu Finish on all my cars "and boats" since 1990. Regular Nu Finish has some abrasive properties so I am afraid to use it on my new car. My Lexus was treated with LUXCARE paint protection. Will this Nu Finish rapid shine remove the LUXCARE ? thanks..
Nice vette
Why didn't you use the buffer with both products
Any advantage Nu Finish spray vs Nu Finish polish which I just picked up at Walmart? Wirecutter's top pick and the price is right at $7.
WHAT is the best way to use Scratch Doctor on a ford focus on the hood by hand i got water scuff marks NEAR the washers on bout sides thanks from Melb. Aust.
How does the nufinish rapid shine perform if it gets on rubber or vinyl? Nufinish original is good sealer / polish but, not on rubber / vinyl. I was wondering if rapid shine was the same.
i feel that they all do the same thing to a degree
Wash wax all Brian...were u able to pick some up? Curious to see your review of it
I put it on the list for my son to grab at some point...he takes care of that.
Apex Detail gotcha
whats the color code of that blue! it's awesome!!!
It is crazy reflective in the sun. I will check.
Is it safe to use on chrome finish?
How does regular NuFinish polish hold up against that pre-treat from the carwash? So if it dont hold up then never use the pretreat at the car wash eh?
What about their regular product the paste have you tried that
It's aimed at the consumer who doesn't know the difference between a polish and a wax. As far as most "normal" people are concerned if you're applying anything to make your car shine better with more gloss, they're "polishing" their car. I hear my friends saying it all the freaking time lol and when I correct them they look confused hahaha also I suspect the paint correction you managed to demonstrate was more the pad choice than product choice. The average Joe isn't about to apply this product with a DA.
Can someone send me a link to buy wholesale bulk product and your favorite products
What was the average gloss readings on the ss ?
why would you test this on a car that looks like it came out of a car showroom? you couldn't fund a car that was dull looking? really, why?
Can this apply to wheels rims? Its says that it is safe on chrome also?
I bought one today I have a idea what to do with it on my car. I will use this for light polish spray on just to take off some small scratches then I will apply any kind of wax that I have on top of this. This product just like quick wax but it work like quick polish instead
"The more than once a year car polish"
Have you tried or herd of F-11? I saw it on Instagram, a little too pricy, but I wanted your opinion? Thanks
lol 😂 🤦♂️ pure trash 🗑
F-11 is the worst product in this category@@henryfreeman6113
Are you using a paint sprayer for water?
yes he is
A little question please, have you already tested meguiar's color x (aio) ?, is it usable to the double action polisher? Thanks
Not yet. I will look into it.
@@apexdetail85 Ah OK it's nice 👍
Btw.. that Vette is WET!!! 💦
the vette makes them wet
My favorite phrase James!
does it work on windshields - nu fiinish..?
It works great on windshields! Lasts much longer & beads better than Rain Dance.
ummm..that car was already detailed looks like?
Sad it did not do better, their regular Nu Finish does much better.
think they use polish because thats what some people call a wax
The car is already shiny.
Funny how that works..LOL
Marked down at Walmart for $1.50
Its new paint of course its gonna look like that
It's not the age that matters, it's the condition and the paint was scratched to hell cause he sanded it before the polishing.
What rock did you find that under? Never heard of it!
With a car looks like that. Apply any test products would be mean less. May make it worse
NU FINISH AND "PROTECT" SHOULDN'T EVEN BE USED IN THE SAME SENTENCE TOGETHER!!!!!
So it last about as long as the original Nu Finish which was not long at all lol how is Nu Finish still around, does anyone still use that stuff?
So many wax, so little time
Crap
It is absolutely WILD how far retail products have come in the past 5 years. At week 3 on my turtle wax seal and shine application and after a ton of rainstorms, pollen city, and 1 wash it's still holding on strong for 5.99 a bottle and I didn't even use an oz to do the entire car lol
I agree It is crazy and hard to keep up with honestly.
