I loved how in this show they weren’t afraid to let Tommy or the Shelby’s be outdone or played, it brings more realness to the scenes knowing Tommy isn’t always gunna be 10 steps ahead
After a while it became boring how they would go 2 versus 100 in someone’s pub and win. It also became boring how you knew they’d always win. It would’ve been way more interesting if they lost from time to time and had to regroup
@@donfrank2544 They didn’t “looooosseee”. They would always win rather then having to wage an actual proper war in which they should’ve and would’ve accepted defeat and find a different way to keep the bosses happy.

I have a feeling that Chang went in there to play mind games and he wanted Shelbys to crack under pressure. Even if it was to cost his life. Clearly he was in a bad situation, maybe he couldn't care anymore and just checked how far he can go and what strings he can pull, should they agree to the business and then of course, betray them. That's how I see this part of that hoe shooting to the ceiling.
“brilliant chang is dead” “perhaps… sometimes i wonder, is this heaven?” Too cold man hope Change makes an appearance in the movie cuz he’s a great antagonist only from this short scene
Nah that went way too quickly. Duke comes in and rises in the ranks in a span of 2 episodes. Absolute cap. Also, what did they expect when they forced someone to work for them or be put 6 feet under? They really expected loyalty?

Most revolvers of the time have a 3 stage hammer. So if he wanted to intimidate you, he would let the first 2 clicks catch your attention while the third is displayed in front of you to show the hammer is set and the round is in battery.
Who even is Chang? Lol they treat him like a main character in the 2 or 3 scenes he’s actually in and never really ever talk about him in the whole show
one of my favorite scenes of the whole show. @@1zno641well you know the setting IS a hundred fucking years ago so I think that’s what they were going for. If you’re looking for something with a more contemporary atmosphere, might I suggest SpongeBob SquarePants?

Tommy smiling knowing it's something he would pull 😂
I liked Chang smiling when Tommy says, “I’ll throw it in the canal” after taking his opium. Like, “ya right. The canal…” 🤣
Tommy smiling after the threat like "well that's more like it"

Arguably one of the most important scenes in the show and worst decision towards Arthur because it led to his drug addiction and downfall
Not just in the show, but in real life too. The actor ended up channeling Arthur's coke problem well after the series ended.
Damn really? That’s a huge detail I missed.
first time watching this i remember the utter anxiety. The music, the lack of yelling, the erie calmness of it all. Just builds it up so well.
