I've lowered 6 squares now and those bump stop rivets are the toughest dam rivets on the planet.. ha ha.. done them all under the truck with the bed installed. I like your approach on it removing the bed.
You should of put a 1 inch adapter on the rear instead of cutting the bed that’s what i did on my 79 and it stopped the rubbing issues on the back just saying looks good by the way
2/4 drop should be ok with the factory bump stop a upgraded lowering shock will help with the hop the belltech silver shocks we used on this truck work great
Bacfab……..I bought an 85 c-10 a month ago with a 4/6 drop and trying to decide on 20s or 22s ….do you think either will fit without modifications? Also what’s your opinion on the appearance difference between the two wheel sizes? Thinking about the us mags c-10 wheels thanks
So I gotta ask bro I recently did the same to mine i installed 2.5 drop spindles and 2 inch drop springs in front I’m currently running a 235/75/15 on rally’s all the way around but it rubs in front what do you suggest tire size ? I don’t want to remove the inner wheel wells ..
Now I can relax. It’s like getting a phone call from my kids that they are ok. Nice to see you again .
I appreciate you brotha I’ll try to get back to posting regularly

Damn bro. I was eating dinner when I saw your notification pop up. I had to drop my food and watch this video. Lol. Been a minute bro. 🤙🏼🤙🏼😎
For sure brotha thanks for hanging in I’ve been a little busy at the shop lately
@@bacfab9259 Wish you was closer to Vegas. I could really use someone with your skillset to get my 79 going. Glad to see youve been busy. 🤜
Very nice

The rear was cut by the owner we installed a hub centric 1 inch spacer
Nice drop. Do you recommend cutting out bump stop on a 2 4 drop? I get a little hop on the bed on first accelerating..
2/4 drop should be ok with the factory bump stop a upgraded lowering shock will help with the hop the belltech silver shocks we used on this truck work great
Thanks for the reply
Will. 20x10 work on the front
Comparing a price I received in Louisiana…what’s your price for parts and labor for a job like this?
are you using belltech 2210FF shocks? do you need shock extender brackets? worth it?
Yes awesome ride no extender required but it is recommended for the pass side this will get the shocks to extend and compress evenly
I’m getting some torque thrust 20’s all around would a 6/8 drop be though too do on that?
20s will clear really all depends on the overall height and width
How did you correct the drive live angle?
This one had a 2 piece driveline so I sectioned the carrier bearing bracket to raise it higher and line up the 2 driveline angles
Badass
Thanks brotha
Air hammer will blast rivets out within seconds
Bro the cnotch plate centers itself with the alignment holes.....
WHAT SIZE RIM AND TIER ON FRONT AND BACK
255/30/22 front and 295/30/22 rear
Did you remove front wheel wells
How wide on the front

Personally prefer 22 on these squarebodys they fill in the wheel well quite nicely and you can still run a nice size tire
22s and 20s will both clear front inner fender might rub on large bumbs
Bacfab…….thanks for responding….I keep getting older guys telling me how tough the ride will be with 22s
22s ride nice as long as the suspension is doing ok and some nice beltech shocks
@@bacfab9259Will 22x11s clear the rear tubs? I see you cut some holes on the side on this truck lol
What kind of rims are you running?
Usmag wheels 22
22x11 rear? 22x9 front?

195/65/15 or 205/65/15 would be a lot thinner but it will have a rake so it all depends on the look your going for
do you have to shorten the drive shaft?
That's too low for me. Maybe a 2/4 drop
